Great service. Was under construction while we were there do certain amenities were unavailable. Staff was super caring and helpful.

Booked this hotel based on amenities! And proximity to grandkids.
Extremely disappointing there is NO continental breakfast as stated on website. No discount was offered. As far as comfort the beds were good. We had to put the HVAC on 80* just to get the room comfortable to be in.
Front desk clerk is the receptionist, housekeeper, attendant during their shift.

The front desk person Jeff was very welcoming and so friendly. Jeff was so very helpful. Hope we get the pleasure of seeing and talking with Jeff next time we are in town. Thanks, Jeff, for the wonderful service. Places need more like Jeff working for them.

My recent stay went very well! David, the GM, was so wonderful. He was very kind, but also professional. The best customer service. I would definitely go back again the next time I'm in the area!

Rooms were fine, great for the price you pay. It's under remodel so no breakfast.: (
But clerk was very polite and helpful

Sheets are wrinkled in rooms. I had stains on my sheets, but staff did give us another room. The building has unfinished doors and our closet in the New room is missing a door handle. No continental breakfast, breakfast area is still being worked on. No pool. Carpets not clean.

I came to town for training and luckily just had to stay one night. The location was good, and all the pictures were decent so I booked. What they didnt say was that theyre under construction. This typically wouldnt be a big deal and I wouldnt care but because of the construction they had no business center, fitness center, or breakfast. So when I planned my trip around these amenities it was fustrating they werent avaliable, no one said anything, and I still had to pay full price. The service at the desk was decent when I checked in.very helpful and welcoming. The morning crew when I checked out reminded me of the secretary from monsters inc.and was was just kinda rude. The elevator smelled liked smoke, but the most dissappointing thing was the room. I was in the military so Im not picky, but when I pay for a room and the bed was obviously slept in and not changed.giant dark stains on the bed spread (looked like coffee or maybe sweat I dont know). There was urine and toilet paper in the camode, accompanied by a long black hair on the seat (Im an almost bald male, so not mine). The pillows also ahd what looked like sweat stains on them as well. I took a shower the morning of checkout, and Im not sure what they washed the towels with, but it was almost like they had left then wet for too long before drying and they smelled kind of like mildew. And there was a rusted hole in the shower floor. Over all, I was fustrated. I didnt complain or throw a fit, but felt others should know before booking. I have to come back to town multiple times over the next few months, but I wont be staying here. I also took photos of everything in case some jerk comes on here and tries to refute my claims. This place has great potential as the rooms were spacious and well laid out, but house keeping/maintenace needs to be stepped up, and if youre redoing everything let someone know when they book.

Since it is being renovated, the lobby is a bit messy. The friendly employees solve that problem neatly.

The staff was Extremely Helpful. We arrived in Abilene during a huge thunderstorm and my nav system malfunction. We called the hotel and the kind lady on duty stayed on the phone with us giving us directions until we pulled in the driveway. The room was comfy and priced right. They are remodeling/redecorating (10-05-23) so the lobby & breakfast areas were full of boxes and new furniture, but it was still possible to walk through safely.

Very friendly and accommodating service. They seem to be renovating, the rooms feel fresh and clean. Highly recommended to stay for sleep and shower.

Room was big and bed was comfortable. I stayed here a good while back and they were remodeling and they are still remodeling, not that it was a problem. Never stayed at a hotel where I was told no guests are allowed, and if you do, there is a additional fee charged to you. Ive never had any guest at any hotel room ever, but there has to be a reason for such verbiage. Are they thwarting any hourly rate visitors? But all in all, I'd stay there again.

I would like to begin by saying expedia should NEVER be used! The manager of Big Country Hotel & Suites is wonderful! I made the mistake of booking through expedia & will never use them again. I will only go directly through the actual business. The manager, David, has diligently worked w/me to eliminate a charge by expedia. It's a lengthy story so I won't go into it on this review; however, I do urge anyone reading this review, DO NOT USE EXPEDIA! I've discovered some of their staff are not truthful & one male was extremely rude.
**Stay at the Big Country Hotel & Suites & you will be treated w/respect & kindness. ** I'd like to add that the establishment has been remodeled & is beautiful!
Enjoy your stay w/them!

As others have started, they are in the midst of a remodel. That said, when I checked in at 1800 hrs there were no workers present. My room was on the second floor and newly remodeled.

Well it was an ok stay. It's under renovation, but hard to get sleep when you hear people clunking around especially since we came in so late. Couldn't use the pool and lot of stuff was tore up. Maybe it will be better once it's all fixed but as for now, only a 3 for me

Refuses to accept cash when it is a federal law that it be accepted. No matter what the establishment is.

The hotel is under renovation, however it was quiet during sleeping hours. The room was very clean and comfortable and the air conditioner worked amazingly well! It was so nice to walk into a nice cold room after being in the hot car on a 115° day.

I'm giving this hotel a 1 star because you have to give at least a star to do a review. The front desk staff was AMAZING and helpful. HOWEVER, this hotel does not state ANYWHERE when booking that it is under massive renovation. I booked as part of a big trip a stop to relax for my birthday and I walk in to NO AMENITIES listed that I specifically booked for hotel. No laundry, no pool, no breakfast, the town closes early, and first room assigned the ac was apart and on the floor (not the front desks fault). Like I said, the worker was very nice and helpful, but had I know the places was tore apart with nothing to offer I never would've booked here (or this town at all).
