Big Lots, Amarillo TX

I came to amarillo on my day off of work. Visiting from out of town wanted to take my kids to wonderland. My husband and 4 kids under 4. I have a 1 year old two 2 year old twins and a 4 year old. As I'm waiting in line the cashier and lady she is checking out is talking about my 2 year old crying, and scolding me. (I grabbed my daughters toy because I was going to pay for it which is why she was crying). The lady in line said to the lady behind her that I need to put my kids in the car since they are crying. I told the lady that she should not be in public if she is bothered from a baby crying. The cashier then whispered something to the customer. Anyways long story short I will never be visiting this big lots nor amarillo again. And by the way I work 115 hours a week and this was the only time I had with my husband and kids so putting my kids in the car to wait for me while the other lady's hold up the line was out of the question. If you have toddlers or children I would not take them here and they should actually be out of business since they can't hire appropriate cashiers to provide customer service. 08/05/2023

We went in for a Bluetooth speaker and picked up a few other things we were treated like shoplifters were followed and dirty looks from the young lady so ill never go back there.

Cluttered, tiny aisles, messy. I haven't been here in 6 or 8 months and i don't see any reason to ever go back.

I always shop at this store and always love it but I have seen the same lady working in there and have never gotten her to check me out but today she did. By far the rudest woman I have meet. Didn’t want you to help her do anything or touch anything. Would tell you I will do it myself. Would put her hands up if you touched something or walk off. I get if she has struggles maybe with touching things someone does but they do not need her at the front working checking out. You should never be rude to someone trying to make your job easier. She was so rude to my daughter who was just trying to put the stuff on the counter. Kept telling us I will do it or if we moved something would walk off. I felt bad at first but the more she did it the more angry I got and then to be rude to my child. I was not rude to her once and left not saying a thing.

I don't usually go to this location because it's so far from where I live but I happened to be over at Amigos Market and decided to slip into the Big Lots to see if they had any of those little blenders I had seen advertised for $14.99. They were out of them at the Bell Street location. The store was very organized and clean looking. They didn't have any of the blenders and I had already done my Big Lots shopping a couple days earlier so I didn't end up buying anyting I only encountered one employee who asked me if I was ready to check out as I headed for the front door. I explained to her hadn't found what I was looking for and headed out.

This was my first time in this place. I fell in love. I love the prices! Many household essentials, decorative pieces, furniture, makeup, food, at affordable prices.

They have nice furniture, the place seems a little scattered but its a big store so overall its a nice clean place.

Bought some food that was good expired and didn’t notice. I brought it all back next day in boxes with my receipt. The man behind the counter proceeded to argue with me about the refund when clearly they are selling EXPIRED food! Don’t shop here unless you want terrible service and expired food!

Didn't find what I was looking for. But if anyone looking for Christmas decor they are already out. Was a bit disappointed in the fall and Halloween section.

I love shopping at Big Lots and that lady cashier her name is Helen she is a great cashier she always greets us Big Lots on Bell Street

Really good deals. I always go in there with one or two items in mind, and end up leaving with a basket full. They have rearranged the store a bit since the last time I review this, but it's great, because they always have cool stuff at great prices!

Big lots is a great store and has had my patronage for many years this particular store was not as most I have visited. Granted it was close to closing time and I was told that by at least three different employees. I felt rushed when I ask for the last time right before check out two minutes to closing time understand they wanna go home etc.but I needed some superglue the girl at the counter said it’s way over in the back in the way back corner and we’re closed and pointed to the cash register so I would get checked out. Which I did, Big lots is my place to go for totes their prices are great but I don’t think I will be visiting this particular big lots in the near future. Very very disappointed.

They should accept food stamps I had to leave my food there because they don't take food stamps so disappointed in them. Hopefully they could take food stamps in the future!

Should have more than one old lady checking people out, there was a line formed behind me, and a manager behind the same counter doing something I don't know what, but should have 1 more person,

Store is a disaster. No customer service. No recovery standards. 100s of out of stocks. Just terrible overall. A corporate visit would cost everyone a job!
