Big Top Dentistry for Kids, Cedar Park TX

Dr. Trueblood is the best! The entire team is friendly and professional, and my kids love coming here!

We’ve loved Big Top and Dr. Trueblood for years. She is attentive, the front staff and assistants are always nice, and my boys (12 and 6) always have a great experience!

Bad: Rude and inflexible staff. We were scheduled for a first appointment and due to a death in the family and were traveling so, we didn't fill out the paperwork prior to our visit. I explained the situation, and asked if I could fill it in while I was there and even offered to call my insurance company myself so they could provide the proof of benefits. The front desk personnel, who identified herself as Ellie, refused to help. She insisted she was very busy (lobby was empty, phone was not ringing, and looked rather bored to me) and would not allow us to complete our visit. When I asked why, she stated it was their policy and she would let me come later that day, after I completed the paperwork at home, but would make me pay cash. I told her that we have excellent dental benefits and I again offered to call insurance myself and have them provide the proof and benefits coverage for her since I realized I was unable to provide the information before. Again, she refused. I got the feeling she was more interested in demonstrating authority than working with a potential patient. I was able to find another pediatric dentist, the same day, who was able to verify my benefits and get us seen, happily. Beware, if you expect excellent service- the individual working at this front desk is not in the business to provide it.

READ the reviews! You will see that all but one negative review was someone mad that they made a mistake, not the office staff or the dentist! This is the only place I have ever taken my children, and they are stellar. The staff is professional, but they will not hold your hand when you don't follow the policies. I got on here to write a review and got angry that the bad ones were because the parents made mistakes. Dr. Trueblood is fantastic with my kids. We've had x-rays, cleanings, and a tooth pulled. My little one was terrified today to get x-rays. I wish I remembered her name, but he hygienist who did the x-rays for both kids and did their cleaning was fantastic! She was patient and calm when my child was having a fit. She was successful in getting the x-rays, and I'm grateful she didn't give up. I've been in other situations where we would have been unsuccessful getting the care we needed, so I think that's above and beyond. The staff AND the doctor are all top notch! My youngest actually asked when they get to go back! (for the toy, but STILL)

Great Dentist and technicians. Friendly and explained and answered questions thoroughly. Am able to schedule 3 kids for the same time slot for X-rays, exams, and cleanings. In and out in 40 minutes!

Have taken my 13 and 7 year old here for years. My younger daughter literally jumps up and down in excitement when it's time for her cleanings and is constantly asking when her next one is. The whole team here is wonderful. They are kind, thorough and take the least invasive route to deal with issues before they become bigger issues. My 13yo asked if she can keep coming here after she turns 18.

A great experience for parents and kids alike. The staff here are very caring; Dr. Trueblood is experienced, explains topics well, and takes the time to answer questions. I like how there is a focus on children developing positive memories of going to the dentist (unlike the fear historically associated with dental work). This is our first choice for our child's dental care, and I don't want to take him anywhere else!

This office is the most kid friendly professional environment I have ever experienced! My kids loved being there and everyone took such good care of them. I hope we never have to go to any other pediatric dentist because Big Top is, by far, the best!

Big Top is the best! I take all 4 of my kids there and they don't even complain when we go for cleanings, amazing! Everyone is so friendly and works quickly. The kids get a token after to get a prize. There are a few games in the lobby area. Dr. Trueblood is conservative with her dental treatment and is a parent herself so she knows when to wait and when to act. Thanks Big Top! See you in a few months.

My daughter was super hesitant for her first cleaning but they were extra patient, super compassionate and made everything fun for her. Fantastic office set up too!
