B L A N D! The “Hot” sauce was not. The “BBQ” sauce was tomato paste. The pinto beans were okay as was the sausage but true BBQ it wasn’t.

The food is good tasting but vastly overpriced and it used to be much more. The sandwich plate I had was over $12 for less than $3 worth of meat and $0.50 worth of beans and a glass of water. They had this same meal priced at over $15 to near $17 during covid. Price gouging at its finest. And one other major complaint is the large number of flies that you have to fight in the dining room while you're eating. No other restaurant in Lubbock has this many flies! And it's been like this for YEARS! If the dining room has this many flies, I'd hate to see how many are in the KITCHEN! FYI. Flies lay eggs that hatch to maggots.

Had a sandwich here today. Noticed on the receipt that I was charged a dollar per sandwich titled cutters choice. How about a customer's choice? Stopped padding the bill by inventing charges for fat and burnt crust

Best Brisket in Lubbock, shout out to JR, he was very attentive and made us feel at home. Overall great experience!

JR was a great person as a store manager and was very delightful and asked us bout the food BTW was great!

Basic bbq in a counter serve joint. It's good food, but nothing to write home about. Locals sure love the Frito pie, which is not a pie, it's basically Fritos with beans, meat, and cheese on top. It tastes alright, but I'd prefer to just get some good slices of meat instead. Service and prices are good, these folks are friendly and proud of their local community, which is always good.

J.r. And the staff were ready for us when we entered the door. J. R showed respect to the other employees and appeared to lead by example. He visited the table to make sure we were pleased. All around a great visit

JR was very friendly and professional. He came to our table to check on us and see how everything was tasting. The food is good. Great choice if you are looking for comfort food.

My personal experience was that staff was very helpful and well manner. They always smiled and laughed and checked up on us. The food was actually very good. Service was very fast, even at the window. I recommend going there.

I’ve always loved this place and the food. Great service, friendly people and a familiar feeling atmosphere. JR, Kathy and the rest of the staff are awesome and always smiling and joyful. I always recommend!

So so so good! We found it by chance on our way to the coast we loved it and had to stop again on the way home to Colorado!

Can't break 100 on 40 order wasted my lunch break. Useto be a favorite. Came back to give a try.told them of my last trip in, only got a half hearted, awww, feeling like the customers are a bourdon. There are so many good bbq places in lubbock. Most of which seem happy to have you.
