Words truly fail me to thank the Bike Farm crew enough. My wife has a knee support scooter that needed work, to fix the steering.
James was able to quickly identify and repair the handle bars and steering.
The Farm manager not only helped return the scooter to the back of the car; but also refused my offer of payment.
Any expression of my gratitude falls far short. And I highly recommend the Bike Farm for any two, three or four wheel needs. If I ever want to return riding a bicycle; it's clear that I am choosing the Bike Farm at 5440 Burnet Rd in Austin.

Fantastic bike shop with great selection and honest, helpful staff! I bought a new bike here after a couple of decades of not cycling, and the staff, especially Rob, were super friendly and accommodating. They steered me towards a solid bike that was within my budget, and when an unexpected additional cost popped up that Rob had forgotten to tell me about, he worked with his manager to find a way for me to avoid it. Five solid stars, highly recommend this bike shop.

Super friendly staff, they didn’t hesitate lending me a hand installing my bike rack. Did I mention awesome prices, yeah awesome prices!

Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable gentlemen who are well prepared with information about all the bikes functions, adjustability, and features. Most importantly they were super friendly and kind, providing a spirit of warmth. I will definitely be purchasing a new mountain bike from y’all as I was allowed to test ride multiple bikes on the spot, giving me the opportunity to pick the best feeling bike.

Great LBS.honest, experienced, nice. Quality selections. Experience has been with both service and sales. Runs circles around those corporate bike stores that have popped up in town, especially in service dept.

Buyer Beware. They lied to me about the value, charged 2x the worth for a used bike and to top it all off fitted me incorrectly and sold me the wrong size.

Thanks to my partner who knows quite a bit about bikes (former triathlete and bike mechanic), it was recently brought to my attention that 2 years ago when I bought my used Giant Revel 2 from the Bike Farm I was charged two times its actual worth. I purchased it used for $550. Prior to purchase when I asked what the value of it NEW was, I was told by their employee it was worth $750 brand new. So in essence I thought I was getting a decent deal for a used bike. It was my first time buying a mountain bike and I was unfortunately trusting their team to be honest with me.but in all actuality, BRAND NEW the bike is ONLY worth around $350.

Oh! And it had rust all over it. They leave their bikes outside. Smh

I feel pretty disgusted by the fact that they not only lied to my face about the value but were also price gauging. It has no after-market upgrade parts (and I had to go out of my way to clean all the rust off of it). If you're over-charging for your used bikes due to a shortage of supplies, then say that. Don't blatantly lie to your customers about the value.

Not only that, they sold me a KIDS sized bike. They fitted me with an XXS when the proper size for my frame is an S. I'm 5'3", so I don't know what the employee helping me was thinking and why he had me test ride something too small. The guy who helped us at REI showing us bikes this last weekend was more knowledgeable than the one who sold me at Bike Farm. I can't believe I not only paid double the worth of the bike, but was sold the wrong size as well.

I can somewhat understand paying extra for a bike due to supply and demand with Covid, but lying to me about the value and fitting me with the wrong size? That's incredibly disappointing.

I know its been awhile since this transaction but I had to say something because this is not in integrity and its not okay. I also originally left a glowing 5 star review because I *thought* I had received good service, until a bike expert asked me about how much I paid for my bike and why I was riding on the wrong sized bike. I'm hoping this behavior isn't still happening at their shop. If so, please speak to your employees about humility, integrity, operating within one's scope, and attention to detail.

If you're reading this, I recommend you do lots of your own research, be mindful about blindly trusting what employees say, even if they act knowledgeable. Use a trusted friend not invested in the shop's sales or a commission to help you purchase your first bike so you can buy one fairly priced which actually fits.

Awesome place! Walked in and immediately got taken care of. All of the staff was super friendly and welcoming and the repair prices are comparable to none. I didn’t get the name of the guy who made my bike’s adjustments but he was super cool and speedy and let me know everything going on with my brakes causing me issues. 10/10 place, will be going here from now on!

The people who work here are the best! I needed proof of purchase for a couple of locks that I bought from Bike Farm a while back and I could no longer find the receipt. Rob went out of his way to track down my purchase for me in their system and was so diligent and helpful, I had to leave a review. Good peeps.

I took my ebike in with 2 flats. They did not have the correct size tubes but helped me call around until we found them. They went above and beyond. Great guys!

I have lived in Austin my whole life, and I used to go to the Bike Farm when it was off of Lamar. I don't know what happened between then and now, but the employee communication is absolutely atrocious. I brought my bike in on May 13th for a replacement wheel. I was told by the employee that the new one would be in the following Friday, and that he would call me when it was done. A week went by, and no call. Next week went by, no call. 3rd week went by, and finally I just went up there, and boom! Still not finished. He said it would be ready Monday, which was a day later as they are closed on Sunday. I went Monday morning, and finally picked it up. As I was riding it home, I noticed a click while peddling. The next day I took it back, and let the same employee know about it. He said he would look at it when he could get to it, and (most importantly) that he would call me before he switched out any parts. Guess what? No call yet again. So, I went up there only to find that he didn't work that day. Cool, but what's not cool, was finally after getting a text the next day, going up there and finding out, not only that the rear gears and chain had been replaced, but I now had a price tag of $61.00 and some change, bringing my total including previous tire to around $175.00. When asked why nobody had contacted me before replacing parts, his reply was "my bad". This is just bad customer service. "My bad" is not an acceptable response for poor customer service. So close to home, but sadly, I won't be coming back. R. I. P. Austin. Businesses here are just getting worse, and only seem to care about getting your money.

*UPDATE* The click/skip I took it in for is still there. So basically, I got charged 60 bucks for work that I didn't ask for, that didn't fix the problem. Now I have to go pay someone else to fix the problem. Thanks Bike Farm!

I rarely write a review but I must because I am at work and watching the clock! I was looking for a bike shop to perform simple maintenance today, and some of the larger chain shops were either not open on Mondays, or offered a 12 day turn around for a basic drive train clean and pedal swap. Now Normally I do these things myself, but I'm busy. I found Bike Farm on maps, called, the ensured me it would be done on the spot. While I waited, I browsed the shop, (awesome shop) and the bike selection. Drew assisted me and had WAY more knowledge about product than I could ever need (good thing). All other staff was accommodating, informative, and uptempo. I went ahead and purchased some grips. The maintenance was performed and the crew produced above satisfactory results. It is not convenient for me to drive there however, this is my new one stop shop. Great job! Oh, and they have an excellent selection of bikes, especially bmx/single speeds.

Worst shop in Austin! The people are snotty and just plain smart assess at best. Overall a horrible experience and won’t be back.

I had a fantastic experience with Lex and the team at the Bike Farm. I stopped in to have my trusty, lightweight road bike serviced and look around at newer bikes. About an hour later, my partner and I left with two bikes, one gently used and one new. The staff listened to our concerns and answered all our questions, and they offered me a great trade-in value for my road bike. The whole experience was easy, smooth, and painless, and it’s a totally no-pressure environment. I heartily recommend the team of bicycle experts and enthusiasts at the Bike Farm

I am absolutely completely thrilled with my recent experience at Bike Farm and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used bike. I had had my commuter bike stolen (used but very nice Specialized Hybrid), and was looking to replace it with something similar. I arrived at Bike Farm, and Lex looked through their broad selection of bikes and helped me find a used one exactly like what I was looking for within about 20 minutes. They quoted me a price that was exactly in the range I was hoping to spend, but the bike needed to fixed up before I could take it. They told me to give them a couple of days, but called me the very next morning and told me it was ready to go. I had assumed I'd be without bike for a week or more, but because of the quick and helpful service at Bike Farm, I was only without a bike for a day.

Added bonus: After riding it once, I realized the tire pressure was a little low, but when filling the tires accidentally popped one of the tubes. I brought it back to Bike Farm as they had told me I had some services covered for a year after buying my bike (but I fully expected to pay for the materials). Instead, they within minutes replaced it and didn't charge me a dime. I was not expecting that at all!

Thank you Bike Farm for turning replacing a stolen bicycle into a really memorable and wonderful experience.

What a cool place with great people! I didn’t end up buying anything, but that didn’t matter. The guys walked me through all kinds of options, helped me size up every seat, and suggested so many to test drive (new and used) with ZERO pressure to pull the trigger on a purchase. I will be returning soon for the bike I fell in love with, but wanted to give them a shout out for providing such great customer service even for a low-budget gal like myself.

They have a regular rotating stock of used bikes too! If they don’t have something the one time you go, keep checking back.
