Just awesoeme! Super friendly staff (Thanks Clyde). And the hot foam hot towel neck shave was the best part.

Great staff, they were very friendly even tho I was running late to my appointment. Brook is really awesome and talented barber, she is very friendly and never leaves you in an awkward silence.

Everyone is super friendly and they do a really good job! FYI they do not allow people to sit inside that aren't getting their hair cut but there are a lot of places close by to go to

After getting my hair ruined by another local shop, I scheduled an appointment with Brooke seeking resolution.

She was thoughtful, took her time and is a clear perfectionist. We spoke about every last detail and she returned my cut to it's glory. Please look no further - and do yourself a favor and see Brooke!

We booked online and was lucky to find an empty window for just 30 mins later. Justin gave our son a great haircut

Just like other Birds, very laidback, cool and clean shop. Friendly staff makes you feel even more comfortable. Great music playing alone and yes they give free beer for a cut too

Shockingly unprofessional service. Booked an appointment and waited 35 minutes. Watched as new customers turned up and were seen to. Was then asked if I could come back in two hours as the person i was waiting for was still not available. Would have appreciated a phone call to say that Birds could not honor my appointment time and not to waste my time trekking in in the rain and wasting an hour of my day. Wasn't even offered a water or coffee while i waited. Was given a $3 off my next haircut card which I thought was a joke.

Showed up around 4: 50 for a 5: 00 appt slot. Walked out at 5: 30 after no one said anything after checking in. I’ve waited for haircuts before, but what’s the point of an appt time if you don’t honor it? Or apologize for running that far over? What if I had somewhere to be? Didn’t give less than three stars because I never actually got my hair cut

This is one of my go-to haircut places in Austin. It's worth going a few times and picking your favorite barber/stylist and returning to them on future visits. I say this because I've found the consistency, otherwise, to be lacking.

Shop on E 6th did a great job on me pre-big event. Made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Average pricing. More than some, less than most. 29 for a nice cut and bit of a style.

I’m from out of town and wanted a haircut while I was here in Austin. I was able to get right in (within an hour) of calling. Not only did Kristen T do a bomb haircut, but she was extremely friendly and took the time to write down things to do while I was in town. I had a wonderful experience here and would definitely recommend.

Going to Birds was a great choice. For a guy who habitually gets $15 haircuts that never turn out well, I was ambivalent about paying more. However, Emy did a great job giving me options, cutting my hair, and double checking to make sure it was the right length. In the end, she gave a great hot towel neck shave and put a little product in my hair to make sure it had a matte finish and looked perfect. I would definitely come back and ask for Emy.

Logistics: call ahead and reserve online. If you walk in, you get waitlisted. I got lucky because it was a slow day. Also, they will give you a tasty beverage - take advantage.

Walked in today haven't having a reel haircut in over 11 years. Rolled in raw and shaggy. Was hooked up with Scotty who apparently can drop a mean fade. Don't be the guy who comes in and says hell I don't know what I want and then be unhappy with what happens. Did a little research and had some pictures of something close. She immediately had an idea and goal but she walked me through every step and went slow saying we can go shorter if we want. She took me from slick backed homeless to an extra on Vikings.
Anderson mill location is my new spot.

I can't say much about the other stylists, but Vel is the sweetest person and has always done an amazing job on my hair. If you want a clean, well done hair cut I would highly recommend requesting her!

They are always attentive and courteous here. I never know what I want, but I always leave feeling fabulous!

Love the cuts from here. So far each barber has done a great job. I was sick and tired of going to Great Clips and having to always fix uneven side burns or uneven cuts. I wish the price was a little lower as to why the 4 star review.

Despite that I like the chain, this particular location’s customer service has been significantly degrading. The manager Marsha is very rude and care less about the customer. She doesn’t listen to what you ask, and very impatient when answering the phone. I’ve been going to Birds for over a year now and whenever I miss an appointment, I will have to reschedule or wait extra as a walk in (which is totally fine). Marsha has let someone who came 15 minuets late to his appointment to get in first while I was waiting for 20 minuets before him. No wonder this location is always empty.
