I just completed my order on the BHSH speed gun holster in the basket weave texture, finished off in the dark chestnut for my Ed Brown EVO KC9 1911 pistol. Adding wirh the double mag pouch and the double ply leather gunbelt BH20, should be a really nice rig setup.

I will follow up on a more detailed product review, once I receive the package. Hopefully, Christmas will come early this year

Great holsters, great prices, and thry are willing to make custom holsters for all manner of custom handguns like a 4.5 inch Redhawk.

I purchased a S&W 350 Legend revolver recently for deer hunting. I could not find a holster for it and when I checked with the big name companies they told me basically when they see an increase in the interest in it then they will make one, even the custom department said the same thing.
Well I spoke with Randy on the phone and we discussed making one. I sent him all the information I could on measurements for the gun and the round and asked if he thought it would be ready for deer season here in Pa? With 5 weeks till then. I received it yesterday with a week to spare.
I was a little nervous about fitment being this is a new revolver for this year. It was a perfect fit and I am very pleased with it.

I've had their smartphone case for about 3 phones. Maybe 10 years. Just ordered another one for my company phone. Inspected my case and can not find any issues. No threads or seams opening up. Love this phone case!

I received the BH4D Vertical Double Shoulder Holster yesterday and I'm very pleased with it. Rudy did a great job. The quality is excellent and the pricing was fair. In addition, he was within the advertised lead time. Before the I placed the order, I contacted Rudy about what I wanted and if he could make it. The holster is for a Sig Sauer P220 Legion in 10mm which is far from a common gun. Rudy said no problem. I placed the order, listed the pistol dimensions from the Sig website, and that was that. The pistol and magazines fit great.

For anyone considering a shoulder holster, Black Hills Leather is who you want. Rudy has does a basic setup as far as fit goes based on one's height and weight.it's close, but in my case I had to make several adjustments until I got it to fit the way I wanted it to fit. Again, no problem doing that because the adjustment screws are high quality Chicago fasteners.

I bought a holster for my Smith and Wesson model 36 2 inch revolver. It fits my gun like a glove. Lately it's been hard to find quality holsters for revolvers. That's no longer the case. Great job by Rudy Lozano and his workers. I highly recommend them.

I ordered the BH50 in Dark Chestnut w/ a Basketweave pattern for my 1911 Commander. The holster is absolutely beautiful. The workmanship is spot on. HOWEVER, there are two issues that I have with the holster.

First, the fit of the holster is way too loose. From the first time I inserted the pistol and turned the holster upside down the pistol would fall out. There is absolutely no retention in the holster at all. I just chunked the instructions about wrapping the pistol if the holster was too tight.

Second, and most bothersome to me, is that the description says that the holster has a forward cant. This puppy drops straight down. I was skeptical about how much cant would be in the holster since I like mine with a fairly steep angle, but I was really disappointed when I put this one on and it dropped straight down.

Anyway, just thought I'd post this to give a heads-up to anyone looking to order. Thery are nice looking holsters, but just make sure you'll be happy with the technical specs of the item.

Recently purchased a case for my smartphone from Black Hills Leather and it was worth the wait. (About four weeks). Superb craftsmanship. Added it to my EDC items and I could not be more pleased.

I had high hopes for Rudy and his Black Hills Leather Shop. I placed my order after messaging Rudy on if they could make what I wanted and included quite explicit instructions. I received my order after about 10 weeks which was expected and received a holster and mag holder that was not finished. The order was for a rough side out leather finish in russet color and the holster had not been stained nor the edges finished. Upon contacting Rudy I was told that they didn't stain the rough out leather. I responded that they do stain the rough out leather as shown on their website and then was told that it was only done for the black and dark chestnut colors. There was no offer to make it right and no mention of the 100% satisfaction guarantee.
The 1 star rating is not representative of the leather work which is fine other than it's not finished. The deficiency here is Black Hills lack of delivering the product that was ordered as specified and their unwillingness to correct the issue. Given that there are many custom leather works out there, I will go somewhere else for my next leather goods order.

I have three Black Hills Leather products: a holster for my revolver, a holster for my pistol, and a magazine carrier. All of them fit perfectly and are very well made.
I do not profess to be an expert on firearms, but the person who knows more about handguns than anyone else I have ever met recommended Black Hills Leather products to me. He said they were the best that was available.

My 3rd holster set was a tooled belt slide on for my M&P Sheild 3 inch with a tooled mag pouch to match, simply fantastic work and a super deal. Get compliments all the time, people want to know where I got it, took a while to get it broke in but now it is smooth as glass! Thanks for the great work Rudy!

I have four holsters from Black Hills Leather and they are all works of fine craftsmanship. Two are for CCW and have seen years of hard use, but they still look great and function perfectly. The other two are for larger hunting handguns and they make carrying the larger guns comfortable and protect them well in harsh field environments. I am a completely satisfied customer and will definitely keep coming back.

Once I determined that the product I was looking for was most closely represented by BHL I made my order. The product was, as advertised, the high quality they described, and it was delivered within the time they said it would. I am pleased with the product and process. I had to work with the new leather a little to soften it, but as a leatherworker myself, I knew that is typical, especially when the dye covers both outside and inside. I would suggest that you communicate a little more with your customers on status of the order, and, as in my case, make sure that the notes for the order are either done or explained why. I was able to modify the hammer keepers to what I wanted without any issue. I would do business with BHL again and would recommend them to everyone.

Looked for a year for a IWB J Frame holster with two belt loops and no cant. FINALLY found it at Black Hills Leather. Good leather and excellent craftsmanship! Should have looked here first. Thanks BHL folks!
