Black Swan Yoga - Orchard reviews
16 I absolutely love going to black swan yoga. The energy and workout is great and makes me feel amazing afterwards. The Monday hotonnit class has become a permanent part of my weekly routine. The instructor Aly is so much fun and does an amazing job of encouraging you while she is whipping your but with a difficult workout.
Can't wait to see what else she comes up with.
BSY has become a huge part of my nightly pre-bedtime routine.on a rough day it's the light at the end of the tunnel. I love the attuned approach of the teachers, the chill music, and how each teacher brings their own spirit into the practice and teaching. I always leave feeling a little more open, connected, and grounded.
I absolutely love Black Swan, especially Aly’s Hot Onit class! Feeling a bit sad since Aly hasn’t been on the schedule lately. Her positivity as well as understanding of everyones individual journeys have pushed me to not give up, but to - with gentle understanding - celebrate my abilities when doing hard things. The class is the perfect combination of animal flow and upbeat vibes. Hope y’all bring it back soon, I miss it!
My sanctuary? Find your favorite teachers here and the rest will be history. Make sure to show up 5-10min early to get street parking right out front or to factor in walking time if you park further out.
I go to Liam’s class Monday night and he’s the best instructor! Perfect combo of meditation/relaxation and an intense workout!
I love the idea that BSY is trying to make yoga affordable for everyone. I have Chill class with Tamara, and I love her warm and gentle guiding.
The place is very cozy and clean as well.
I've been a member for over 5 years and love this studio. Always feels like home. My only gripe is the lack of parking, so get there early!
I dropped in for Jade's class at Black Swan this past Saturday and it was a very satisfying workout for the body and soul.
Amazing drop in experience for a fun class mid morning on a Friday. Would love to come back through!
Towels and mats available for rent.
I am very new to yoga but I have done several amazing classes here. I really enjoy the studio and I have found the instructors to be very welcoming and friendly. I suggest save your spot online ahead of time. Also, go early to find parking and get checked in and settled in your spot. Don’t forget a towel because it’s hot hot and a water bottle. Thank you.
Y’all they have hair ties in the front (it’s the small things for me lol) everything is clean, everyone is nice, I love it!
Black Swan is my favorite yoga studio in Austin so far. I've tried a couple other places using ClassPass, but keep going back to BS. They have multiple studios so finding a time and style that works with my schedule is much easier, and they have some more intense classes for a really good workout!
Used to love going here back pre-pandemic. Apparently it wont let us register for a class anymore and says to call the studio. Studios have non working phone numbers or have messages saying to call during normal business hours which are not mentioned. Messages are not allowed to be left. Not feeling the namaste from this experience.
This "donation" scheme is a complete scam. I only had $5 left that week and tried to pay and was told that the minimum donation was $10. I do not consider that to be a "donation based" studio that "welcomes everyone. "
I've been going to BSY since I moved here 6 years ago, going to at least 1 class a week. Though it is not my homebase for yoga, I have frequented many classes consistently throughout the years.
It makes me sad to see the quality of teachers have really decreased over the last 2 years. Does management even take their classes, or just hire anyone who puts in an application?
Teachers rarely give a warm greeting upon entering, I'm lucky if I get maintained eye contact and a smile!
Classes have become more like aerobics than yoga, with little focus on breath and some transitions dangerous for beginners.
And $5 dollars to rent a mat, really?
Hope that BSY steps up their game in the future.
Love this place! My husband & I started at Bindu Yoga a year ago. The teachers were great and the space was lovely and clean.
Bindu Yoga was proactive starting virtual and web Based classes early in the Covid pandemic, so we have been able to keep up with our practice at home and our friends weekly at least virtually.
I recommend this studio highly.
