Blackbeard's On the Beach, Corpus Christi TX

Im on vacation with my family and we decided to eat at this place… BEST PLACE EVER! The food took a bit to come out but it was so worth the wait! I am 12 and I can personally say this place has an amazing atmosphere, the service is great, food is immaculate, the is literally the best place I’ve ever eaten at (not exaggerating).

Nice location on the beach with great seafood, walking distance from most hotels/air bnb on North Beach. Check did take a while to arrive but granted it was a packed house so understandable. Must-visit on a trip to Corpus.

We have eaten here many times and the food is usually good, but the service last time was horrible. Our party of 4 arrived a little before noon and was told it would be about a 30 minute wait. We put our name on the list. Shortly after we arrived a party of 5 arrived, and they were seated almost immediately with no explanation to us as to why we had to wait. Then we were told to go wait outside in the 95 degree heat until a table became available. Needless to say, we left and will not be returning.

Can't believe this place has nearly a 5 star rating. Popcorn shrimp tasted so fishy and it tasted like cleaning product. Waitress was rude and not friendly at all. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever.

The decor is a bit all over the place. The food is okay. The seafood queso wasn’t quite all the way melted and didn’t come out until the rest of our dinner came out. Our server was nice and it was her birthday yesterday. She did great! Very friendly. Chips and salsa were given to us and they were great! Burgers were wonderful… like mine medium and it came out that way! (Yea!) coconut Mayo was amazing here… my kids loved their burgers. Onion rings were amazing and big… My husband ordered seafood basket with 3 choices… he said shrimp was okay and fried fish was meh. Overall not bad…

Laid-back dive. Best fries & onion rings, great burgers with brioche branded buns, fried farm-raised catfish, shrimp, oysters & creamy sauce delicious, baked potato steaming hot & fresh. Really cool experience on hot 4th of July day! Stayed on Padre Island & locals there even recommended Blackbeards in the city…

This place is a definite gem. During my week visit, I came back here to eat more than once. Both lunch and dinner offer an abundance of food. The evening I was there they had live music playing classic rock. The food was awesome that I sampled of fish, shrimp, and onion rings. The mixed drinks were great and so were the servers. This place is definitely a place to stop, cool off, rest your feet, fill your tummy with good food and drink, listen to a little music and bring your kids along too.

Service was good, but that was it. Seafood did not seem to be fresh, more like frozen from a box. Catfish was underdone and dripping grease. Pirate theme was basically non-existent other than some tshirts. Nothing to get kids excited. Overall big disappointment.

We visit Port Aransas every summer and travel to Corpus for the Lexington or the aquarium and we ALWAYS eat Blackbeard’s. The Aloha burger is amazing and the staff is awesome. We always leave happy and full!

My friend and I ate here last night after a long day at the beach and this was the cherry on top to our day! The food was so flavorful, the service was amazing, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was so much fun! I just moved here and I can’t wait to keep eating here!

The food was ok but the service was bad. They forgot my 1 yrs old food, and it did not arrive until everyone else was done eating. So everyone at the table was sharing food with my baby. That way, he got to eat. When his food did arrive, it was extremely hot and very bland. Our server, who will keep unnamed, never came back to refill our drinks, but when she did come, she asked if we would like "to go drinks. " Like, really lady! You bring our food late, and then you want to rush us out. Messed up!

Visiting Corpus Christi and wanted some seafood of course. We found this gem after doing a quick search and it did not disappoint. The food was plentiful and cooked to perfection and reasonably priced which is hard to find in Corpus. The service was super friendly and our waitress Morticia even took time to tell us about the history of the restaurant and that it was considered haunted. That's a plus in my book. The hush puppies were my favorite. They were very crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with just enough heat. The pieces of fried fish were so big I could only finish one. I would say the only downside was there wasn't a lot of parking but it's worth looking for a space if you want a great meal.

We dined in on a Friday night at around 7 pm. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. The staff was so friendly and we adored our server Avery. She was so personable, she made us laugh, and consistently checked up on us. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the queso as well as the seafood queso burger. Very pleasant experience!

We ate here on a pretty busy Friday so there was a wait to be seated, but they call you when your table is ready. The atmosphere has a.fun, quirky vibe especially with the live music, which was quite enjoyable. Our server, Victoria, was amazing. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and maintained the perfect amount of attentiveness even for a busy night!
We tried the seared tuna which had a crisp outside and wonderfully creamy texture.

I forgot our servers name but she was great! The food was really good too and there is lots of options. Tiny place but they even had some live music. A great place to stop by if you’re coming from out of town like us.

You can tell as soon as you walk inside this place that it has been established a while. It has an old rustic feel like it has been weathered by the harshness of the nearby sea. Our server Victoria was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. It's wasn't the best seafood we've ever had but was decently good and reasonably priced. It's worth a visit if you want seafood after a day of visiting the USS Lexington around the corner. Get the Key Lime pie. It was really good!

The place looks like it was build in 1990 and they have not done anything to the building since I got a burger from there it was okay just okay thats it nothing a normal person could not do by them self. They clam to be family friendly, but the local will try to walk through you and your kids if you have them and think nothing of it. Overall it's okay but no way family friendly Especially if you have small kids

Great staff. Bartender Nancy was a great bartender, and she is waiting for you all to come by and say hello. The food was also amazing. I had a fish and shrimp platter with coslaw. The only thing that was not as usual was that when I came by here is the shrip had a weird texture to it, but the flavor was amazing. Also, they are military friendly.

Not as great as advertised. Some of the food was better than other dishes. Waitress was pretty rude. Not busy rude, just rude. Drinks were okay. Fried mushrooms and hushpuppies were doughy. I'd try it one more time in hopes it was just a bad night. Fir the overall prices, i hope so!
