We delivered our third son here in 2023. You will feel like family well before the delivery even takes place.

Dad's - don't worry. You might be worried about having your children be delivered at a midwife vs the hospital. You might have heard some horror stories. I was on the fence myself - but after the experience we had throughout the pregnancy and during the birth, I can guarantee you there is nothing to worry about here.

Everyone is incredibly professional here. There's a reason that multiple midwives are driving hours out of their way to train here. They do it right.

Having had a hospital birth with my first I knew I wanted a different experience the second time around. Because of Sheila I feel so much more confident about pregnancy and birth. The team at Blessed Joy has been incredible! From the initial consultation over the phone, to all of the visits and birth Sheila has been such a calming and informative figure.
Will definitely be choosing Blessed Joy for our next birth!

After two hospital births, I knew I wanted a home birth for my third child. I’m so blessed to have found Sheila. Her and her team were so warm and welcoming since day one. I truly felt safe and taken care of. I didn’t have prior experience regarding home births but she provided the guidance I needed. I loved every appointment and how she made the whole experience a family experience. My 6 year old and 3 year old were very curious and would ask so many questions themselves. Sheila was so sweet and would involve them and answer any questions they had with so much grace and love. She was so understanding and graceful with my family and for that I am truly grateful for. She has such a beautiful personality, funny, down to earth and just plain sweet! Thank you ladies for such great service!

I and so thankful to have found Sheila! Her and her team have literally saved my pregnancy. I lost my first pregnancy due to low progesterone, at that time my regular OBGYN did blood work and told me that my P levels were low so I was going to miscarry. So weeks later I did miscarry and later I found out that there is actually a prescription that they can give you. On my second pregnancy I had the same issue. It was towards the weekend of New Year’s Eve, my doctor would not take me in due to the holiday. I even went to the ER and I was told they cannot give you the Progesterone. My sister told me about Sheila on Friday night and she did everything she could that night to get me the medication I needed and thanks to that my pregnancy is still going well.

As a first time parents, my husband and I were walking into a lot of unknowns and wanted to give birth in a safe space where we felt peace and comfort. Blessed Joy is everything that we were looking for. Throughout our pregnancy, during and after our birth, we were constantly cared for and loved. I dealt with high blood pressure throughout my pregnancy and especially during labor. Sheila did such a great job monitoring me the entire time all while keeping our wishes for our birth in mind without putting me in any danger. We had such a great birth and I am so thankful for the love and care that Sheila and her student midwives provided for us!

I highly recommend Sheila and any of the amazing women on her team. I have felt so welcomed and loved right from the start. They have made sure to listen to any concerns I have had during the pregnancy. They feel like family and I am excited to hopefully work with them again in the future.

If you are looking for a place to treat you like family, look no further! But seriously, they were a blessing to my husband and I. They listen, they care, they pray for you, and they are willing to work with you. They literally have the best intention for you & your whole family. My 2 year old loved going there to play or really run around like a wild child 5+ rating hands down.

The most welcoming and loving place I could have ever hoped for! Sheila is so good at making you feel comfortable and she gives the best mama hugs. Definitely going to BJM for all my future babies.

This will be a long read. My son and (DIL) conceived their first pregnancy. Excited and full of Joy they wanted the same experience we had when my son was born at home with a midwife. Blessed Joy was the choice and they set up their visit. Everything was great for the first three visits. Then, it was discovered through sonogram not associated to Blessed Joy that our kids were pregnant with twins. One was breach and one was transverse. Not that they would stay that way but when it comes to twins you just never know. This changed everything, this midwifery had never delivered twins and only had delivered one breach baby. They suggested to my kids that they visit an actual doctor and see what they thought and make a conscience decision on wether or not they were comfortable with being first time twin delivery with Blessed Joy. Now while doing all of this my kids were trying to be proactive and get their 5000.00 fee paid as fast as possible. They were not just paying the minimum until it got close. So, they paid in 3200.00 of the 5000.00 in three visits. After visiting with an experienced licensed physician with years of delivering twins and working with a hospital with a lvl4 Nicu. They decided they were mor comfortable with the licensed doctor. Now comes the disgusting part of this story. My wife and my daughter in law visit Blessed Joy to explain to them the decision they had reached. So.three visits, one set of labs. They proceeded to tell my girls that out 3200.00 paid in, their refund would be 685.00. I about blew a gasket. I got on the phone with the lady in charge and we spoke and argued for about 10 minutes before I was abruptly accused of cussing and hollaring and told she was hanging up now. So.my kids got their 685.00 dollar refund for their three visits and one set of labs from this company. Just thoroughly disgusted with the obvious abuse of this company with first time parents that tried to do right and got taken advantage of. I will also be reporting Blessed Joy to whatever organization watches over companies like this one.

From the beginning and up until now, Sheila, Holly, and Ashlynn have been like family to us. They provided excellent care as first time parents, answering any questions my husband and I had, helped us try and resolve obstacles that we faced, and were just there for us! I definitely plan to join Blessed Joy for my future pregnancies and am confident that they have the empathy and professional experience to support us in any way we may desire!
