Blue Bonnet Cafe, Marble Falls TX

Couldn't seat our whole party together, food wasn't anything special, over priced but what isn't now a days. A family member got charged double so definitely check that receipt. We bought 7 to go pies and the restaurant put them in paper bags. The bottom tore walking out of the location, maybe the 15 minute or more time it took them to correct the over charging they did allowed the paper bag to get weak or something idk. Only been there once so maybe it's not always this bad but I definitely feel like I wasted my time and money there.

Truly a Texas Hill Country Gem!

Stopped at the Blue Bonnet Cafe while driving through Marble Falls. (Always try to stop here.)

Ordered the BLT and ham & pea soup. The bacon was thick and crisp; and there was a LOT! Maybe because it’s summer and tomatoes are in season, but the T in the BLT was so juicy and flavorful.

The split pea soup was perfection. Thick and rich. Generous amount of ham and well-seasoned. All soups are made in-house. Don’t skip on their soups!

And for the finale: BANANA CRÈME PIE. If you love yourself and your family, order pie. Any pie. They have an extensive pie menu, but if you’re there at the end of the day, you may not have as much of a selection to choose from because they do sell out.

I have yet to have a bad meal at the Blue Bonnet Cafe. It’s a personal favorite of mine, and I hope you get to experience its charm, too.

Exactly what you'd expect from a local established restaurant. Large portions of comfort food. Alot of variety on the menu. Of course Pie. My family really enjoyed the meal. Good service and value.

July 2023:

A staple establishment in Marble Falls where pies are the centerpiece. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking spaces. The wait was short to be seated where could see the food being prepared and pies on display. The menu had breakfast and southern food choices where I ordered the Farm-Raised Fried Catfish (2 hand-battered fillets) with 3 sides (red-skin mashed potatoes, fried okra, and Italian cut green beans).

The place is pretty much always the same every time I visit where the staff is super friendly and feed you well. I was asked if I wanted bread and said yes, and a mini loaf of wheat bread was placed on the table. I was impressed where this could be something new where my memory was foggy. I cut off a piece, spread butter on it and tasted great. And then our plates arrived really quick so I decided to take the bread home.

The fried catfish was delightful and had great flavor. The sides were good especially the green beans.

I thought I was done until my wife suddenly ordered a slice of fudge pie a la mode. When it arrived it looked like it was left outside where the ice cream was all melted. The pie was really a brownie and tasted great. The cool melted ice cream acted like vanilla sauce which was different, but good as well.

I was pretty much full for the rest of the day and had another great visit, and perhaps next time leave off the ice cream.

Food was good. Fried Catfish and veggies were tasty. My daughter's chicken-fried chicken was good. Pies were okay, but not sure if the pies were worth the $$.
Atmosphere is very plain, but comfortable. Friendly staff!

It was very nice except the waitress was very rude. My friend asked for some brown sugar and by the time she got it we were all done eating. Then the waitress got mad when I asked if she could get her sugar even though her food was cold. Her response to me was, I have others to take care of.

Me and my Fiancé ordered the Two Egg with meat,

Honestly. It came with a lot of food and it was really good.

My plate came with:

Two Eggs, try them over medium
Hash browns
Two pretty big Biscuits, with gravy on the side
4 slices of bacon

Definitely recommend coming back.

It is a fabulous place to eat. The food is amazing! I had pancakes the size of the plate, and the bacon was thick and crispy. They also have a wide variety of pies to choose from.
They don't take reservations, and everyone needs to be there to be seated, but as you come in, they find a table for you. It's amazing to watch. They can even seat a group as large as 20. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking. The only problem I saw was that the restrooms were located at the entrance. This is where the line is to be seated, so it can be difficult to maneuver around in. It's a tight place. They need a bigger space for that area. If you're going to Marble Falls or driving through, be sure to stop by. It's worth it.

We're from Utah vacationing in Marble Falls. Heard nothing but glowing reports in this cafe. First afternoon food was exceptional for all 7 people! Next morning 3 for breakfast and 2 were very good but one was barely warm. Exceptional waitresses. Of course if we are lucky enough to return to marble falls we will be back. Thank you.

Wow! It was 106 degrees and we needed a milkshake! Got cheeseburgers too and will be back for chicken fried steak. Edgar is an awesome server whose love of people really shines! Bravo Sir, and thank you for a wonderful experience

We had lunch on Tuesday, July 18,2023 at BBC. The lunch meals are reasonable priced which include 3 sides. Home style plates and more importantly, taste. Our photos are of a sample of their available very tasty pies. Well recommended! Ask for Mary for your waitress!

It was a busy Friday night. Took some time for someone to serve me, but it was ok because I was still waiting on my guest. The food was really good, the pie was amazing. And after I finally got service, it was perfect.

Historic classic roadside diner on Highway 281 in Marble Falls. You may have to wait in line to get in. The pies are famous with meringue that's 6 inches tall. Great breakfast and home cooking. Friendly staff.

We were seated in the newer addition on Fri.eve, the 23rd.
The time was around 7: 30PM and we were enjoying conversation.
Suddenly, a lady started loudly sweeping the floor and crudely banging each chair (in preparation for closing). She was throwing the chairs in a very loud, annoying, slamming sound which was so slamming loud, someone at next table asked her to please STOP! The lady just smiled and seemed to throw the numerous chairs even harder!
This was so ridiculous and unneccary!

All the owner has to do to prevent such nerve wracking banging chairs on the tile
Is to simply glue felt circles on the bottom of each chair leg!

Please do something. This disturbing throwing of chairs does not belong in any restaurant!

We felt so appreciated during our visit. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs. Food was quick. Each meal was hot or cold as per type of food & it was all delicious! The pie was great! Grandson had one of their milk shakes, he thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely make this place a visit any time we are around Marble Falls!

The line was out the door on Father's Day and I don't think we waited more than 20 minutes to be seated. The service was fast and friendly despite being super crowded. Impressive! And the food was great as well!

We were lucky to get a seat before the rush hit. This place is a locals favorite and justly so. The breakfast was very good. Large portions and well prepared.

The fresh home baked pies are a plus. We took four pieces with us.

The service was fantastic home style service.

Finally came to eat here! The restaurant was not what I was expecting.
The atmosphere is really noisy and bostirus. I do not like crowded places that have no room for overflow. But totally busy.
The service was amazing! Lauren, was our waitress and she didn't need to repeat my order back to me, though she did, and was wonderful at refilling cups.
The food was just okay. Nothing that really stood out to me. Over all, this was an okay visit.

Passing through Marble Falls on the way to Fredericksburg and happened to get to the Blue Bonnet Cafe during the busy lunch rush. The food was quickly prepared and was delicious. Roast beef came with three sides, and the combination omelette was served with hash browns or grits with a side of salsa. We shared the fudge pie, and it hit the spot!
