We reserved a table for a group, which ended up being a much larger group. But they were very accommodating! I appreciated their willingness to adapt on a moment-to-moment basis. And the food was all great! We enjoyed this restaurant very much!

The server, Heaven was great, but the owner was very rude and disrespectful to his employees that is not a way to run a Business and the Biscuits and gravy. I got hard.

Food was fresh, service was attentive and on Saturday there’s bingo for discount, how different and fun!

Great home cooking. Daily specials. Excellent food. Nice hometown feel. Spacious dining area. Staff very polite and attentive. Always a great experience.

If this place hasn’t gone viral on tiktok they should! Food and service was a 10/10 will definitely make the drive to eat here again! James was very polite and attentive even while trying to close!

Ordered the family chicken Fried Steak for pick up. Food was great. It was packed and arranged so that nothing would leak. It was still steaming hot even after I got home.

Pretty good food. The chicken tenders are marinated in something with a twang and that was a little weird, but everything else was good. Appetizers are a little overpriced for what you get.

Food is always good. But I wish one of the servers would stop wearing an earbud in her ear while taking orders. She misheard my order and didn't repeat it back to me so I didn't know I was going to end up paying more for my food. It has happened once before with the same server. Didn't want to send it back either since we were on a time crunch.but other than that. Good food, good people

A little off the freeway but worth it to support a local business. Food was fantastic, very fresh vegetables on our sandwiches and the fries were HOT and crisp. Service was great and servers were friendly. Bathroom clean another indicator of how the business is run.

They ran out of their daily special but that would be expected with the crowds. We made reservations and only waited a few minutes to get our table. Service was great and so was the food. We came last year and this year and more than likely we’ll be back next year if the bluebonnets cooperate. Blessings! Add more restrooms and I’ll give. 5 star for sure.

My family and I came to the cafe to grab a bite. My mom is a fan of American catfish and simply wanted to ask if they serve that or swai (aka Asian catfish) the Owner came out and was very rude. She said " I understand you have a question about our food" very abrupt. My mom politely asked if it was swai or American catfish. She told us it was the swai and my mom thanked her and she returned to the kitchen. Our waitress was nice though. When the food came out my chicken was small for the price and I hardly had any fries on my plate, plus the fries were room temperature. I asked for fresh fries and the waitress gladly brought me some more, still not hot but not as bad as the first round. My poor mom's food was so lousy, with sour and I mean SOUR mashed potatoes and the Mac n cheese had a strange, sweet, chemical flavor. Not sure what the heck happened to it. Overall not the best experience but not the worst I guess. Won't go back probably.

A couple of weeks ago some friends and I ate here and the food was good.
However, today I took my husband and son there for an early lunch and it wasn't good. First I ask about the fish, I wanted to know if it was Asian catfish (aka Swai) or farm raised American catfish, the waitress said she'd ask, the next thing I know is that a woman (one of the owners) came out with an attitude. I ask her about the fish and she very rudely told me it was Asian catfish. Clearly she doesn't care how she treats customers. She could have kindly told me what it was but instead looked and acted ugly to me.
Now, for the food. Not good at all this go around. My son's fries were cold, my husband's BLT only had 2 strips of bacon on it and my mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were inedible.
The only good thing today was our waitress, she was very sweet. Sorry I cannot recommend this place at all.

My wife and I happened to be in Ennis and decided to stop in to give this place a try. The hostess and our server were very attentive to our needs and were just so polite. We ordered the pick 3 app platter (fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and wisconsin cheese curds), monster potato, and a rueban sandwich with a side of fries. Guys, this is some real home cooked vibe delicious food, and honestly, not even expensive as it seems to be. Absolutely amazing all around.

Some of the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. I literally cut every piece with just my fork. Mac was simple but delicious as were the mashed potatoes. My wife had chicken strips and absolutely loved them. We’ll definitely be regulars here!

I read all the positive reviews so we decided to try it. Very disappointed.unseasoned fish, extremely small pieces. The best thing was the key lime pie. First and last time eating here
