Bobo China Restaurant reviews
16I'm jaded when it comes to this place as I've been visiting this restaurant since I was 6 years old, now in my 50's.the memories keep me coming back. Oh, and the garlic chicken too.
When you arrive there is a strong smell of sewer. It took a long time to be greeted. Once we were seated, it took a long time for the waitress to come take our drink order. She brought out our drinks and some fried wontons that are normally used in egg drop soup. We were ready to order but she didn't come back for a while. We ordered appetizers and egg drop soup and asked for more wontons for the soup. Found out extra wonton cost extra, which is fine but would have liked to have know this. We ran out of water several times and I had to get up and find the waitress to ask for more. Again it took a while for her to come back with a water pitcher without ice. The food was actually really good and probably one of the better sesame chickens. The only one that wasn't very good was the egg drop soup. I believe the bad smell in the restaurant was from a dirty grease trap because it was worse in the restroom. I don't recommend dining in here, but take out might be ok because the food is pretty good.
We have been going to BoBos for around 30 years. The food was good and the sauce was not sweet like other chain places. We went tonight. It has changed. Our go to dishes were super sweet and missing ingredients.
The place looked closed. Skelton staff. We were the only ones in the parking lot. I have not ever seen it void of customers. Sad.
Delicious orange chicken, beef moo shu beef, Hot sour soup. My grandsons love the food here.
Addition comment 9/9/23 The Hunan chicken is delicious, For appetizer try the pot stickers. The owner, Grace is very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place
Place is hit or miss. We think the chef was having a bad day. We did have a large party, (9) but we ordered the family meals to help. Food was just not as good as it normally is. We will try again and update the post. My wife loves the sizzling rice soup here, so we will try again.
My group got there at 11 right when it opened on Sunday. I had been there many times before over the years. The place had a wet smell, we sat in a big room in the back and the carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years and did look like it had been vacuumed from the night before. I was very disappointed at how unkept it looked and felt. I will not be coming back any time soon
The food here is very delicious and very light on your stomach. I would recommend this place to anybody
This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for almost 50 years, but the last few times we went there, it just wasn’t as good. I think they got new management because we don’t see the original owners anymore. Anyway, still good, just no longer great
Bought lunch for my guys.
It was hot, it was Chinese, it was food. That's about it.
I’ll start with - FOOD WAS DISGUSTING! I HAD BEEF LO MEIN. THERE WAS NO SAUCE NO GARLIC NO FLAVOR BARELY ANY MEAT AND A SIDE OF RICE. The only sauce i Had was the 1 soy and 1 duck sauce pack in my bag. I'm still confused as to why I needed a side of rice on an order of beef LO MEIN NOODLES! Half a portion of lo mein and 2 egg rolls for $ 18. What a waste of money and a stomach ache.read reviews and only saw more good than bad so I decided give a try. I called my order in and Staff seemed pleasant. However when I went in to pay I was ignored standing at the counter while staff was talking on the phone. I assumed they were taking orders until I was given a finger to wait a minute while she preceeded to adjust her earbud and continue with her convo which clearly wasn't work related. Meanwhile I have cash in hand READY TO PAY. I should've took that as I sign but I took a deep breath and waited. After another 5 mins I paid and had to turn and read multiple receipts to identify my order. Staff is very rude in my opinion. If I’m spending money on bad food at LEAST have a little customer service
I loved the food it came out fast and was super big big enough for two meals I recommend Grace who work so lovely and extremely gracious I could not recommend a better Chinese restaurant
Excellent service extremely delicious food could use a lil updating in the interior overall id give it a 97
The food is good and the portions are large, in my opinion you can eat twice.
My reason for not giving 5stars is I prefer with the sweet and sour things they put the sauce on the side.
The dining room stinks. The food is awful, but at least they give you plenty to throw away. They run on a skeleton crew, focusing on churning out bad food, fast. No wonder the parking lot stays mostly empty.
The best Chinese food I've ever eaten in Dallas, TX, or how about anywhere! Delicious, fresh, and priced right! Love this place.
Main dishes; Sweet & Sour Shrimp - The fried rice was more like steamed rice and the shrimp were small with to much of a puffed shell around them. Shrimp and Lobster sauce was to slimey. The egg dropped soup was also pretty slimey. The egg rolls were great.
