I called Boerne Automotive as I was looking for a local repair shop that would work with my 3rd party warranty. When I got them on the phone, they seemed very helpful and eager for my business. I felt very comfortable dropping my vehicle off knowing that they would take care of me. That’s where everything went downhill. They called me back and let me know that one of my O2 sensors was out. I asked that they contact the warranty company and get back to me on the coverage. The contacted me a few hours later saying it was covered (the one bad sensor), but that they (Boerne Automotive) recommend I change all 3 sensors (though not required). They also noticed through further diagnostics that I had an oil leak, but that was also covered by the warranty. They let me know I would be responsible for my warranty’s deductible and roughly ~$100 in fees that Boerne Automotive charges that aren’t covered, but no big deal. I was told that my vehicle repair would be completed by the following day. The gentlemen then proceeded to let me know that due to the mileage of my vehicle (over 100K), he recommends a tune-up, which consists of X, X, X, X, and costs over $1000. I explained to the gentlemen that it was the holidays, and I already wasn’t prepared for the addition $400 for the repair and that I would pass at this time. He then asked if I would at least replace the spark plugs. The way in which he asked was just a blatant way to make additional money. My car didn’t have a misfire or any issue, and I understand the recommendation, but I had clearly let the gentlemen know I was money conscious due to the holiday. The following day I received a call and was notified that there were additional repairs that needed to be done because of the oil leak. I asked what that additional cost would be assuming it was something that was absolutely necessary, and I was told $125. Thinking they were calling me asking for authorization to make the repair, I asked how much longer this would take and when my vehicle would be ready. The gentlemen then informed me the vehicle repair was complete and my car was ready for pick up. They took it upon themselves to add an additional $125 in cost w/out my knowledge or my approval. These guys are extremely pushy and make repairs w/out your approval or knowledge. I’ll never bring another vehicle to Boerne Automotive.

I had a great experience at Boerne automotive. They were even able to finish my truck the same day so I could get to work the next day. I will go back for anything my truck needs.

I had an outstanding experience at Boerne Automotive! The service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they went above and beyond to fix my car efficiently. I was also pleasantly surprised by the fair pricing. I highly recommend Boerne Automotive for all your automotive needs. They've earned every one of these 5 stars!

Drove in with a broken A/C and 1 hour later I drove out with the A/C working. They even provided extra parts and labor that was not included in the original estimate.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE BUSINESS! DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY REASON! DON'T BELIEVE ME? READ THE REST OF MY REVIEW! First, I came in for my front, left turn signal ("blinker") lightbulb to be replaced because it was out. I had about an hour and a half before a doctor's appointment in San Antonio and I asked if they could replace it quickly. They said it would take an hour at most. I was the ONLY customer there. I agreed to let them replace the bulb and the guy helping me at the desk said my hood wasn't opening correctly. ONE: why are you looking at the hood for a blinker light? TWO: it works perfectly, because I had just opened it a little over a week ago. I just said that's not what I'm here for. Anyway, about an hour passes by and my car is six feet off the ground, the guy up front who turns out to be the owner is nowhere around, and NO ONE IS WORKING ON MY CAR. I finally called the business number which was connected to the owners cell phone and he said he had to go out and get a bulb. Well too bad! I need my car! I asked him to tell the staff to bring the car down and let me leave with it. He agreed and about 15 minutes later I had my car. One guy put the car together (why did they have to take off the whole bottom? !? !) and the others laughed and gave me looks while I watched them. On the way to SA, I noticed the right blinker did not work now but the left wasn't indicating a problem. I AM SURE they put the broken bulb in the other light! Probably so I would have to come back and get the one fixed when it broke, which en inevitably would happen since they used a broken part. DO NOT EVER COME HERE! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! I am lucky I got away without spending a penny unlike most of the others who reviewed this deceitful business.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Lionel is very professional. I know I'm an awful customer because I have high expectations. Boerne automotive exceeds those expectations, for less than the competitors. I never take my vehicle to the dealership or anywhere else if I can help it, but I never worry when my vehicle is here.

Lionel was very helpful and they even came and picked me up and tied my car there for repair. This Range Rover has been a nightmare and Boerne Auto had helped me a lot

Lionel was extremely nice and thorough. He explained the work performed and other areas that may need to be addressed. The work was completed very quickly and at a great price. I highly recommend Boerne Auto Repair and will use them again.

Went in for new shocks and had them check the brakes which needed service. Did a 5 tire rotation. All was completed in a timely manner and at a good price. Nice clean shop.

Best auto shop in Boerne. They rebuilt my transmission and worked on my engine internals for my truck. Had a cylinder fail bc of the head. They also were able fix my electrical issues for all the lights on my vehicle. I use to take my truck to Boerne Ford. NEVER again. These guys will stand true to all the warranty work also.

Honest shop! Highly Recommend!
We were moving from San Antonio, Texas back to Sacramento, California. 1,750 mile drive. Heard noises in the front that sounded like bad wheel bearings. Not wanting to risk endangering myself and drivers around me, I stopped at Boerne automotive to have it checked out. They test drove my 2015 Camry and then put it up on the lift. Turns out my car didn’t need wheel bearings after all. Noise was caused by a loose cover under my bumper. The guy working didn’t charge me at all for his time. Not sure if he was the owner/operator or just a worker. Very honest and trustworthy! I Highly recommend this shop!

Pulled into this auto shop because I had a flat tire and was not safe to drive any further. I Kindly asked the man if he could help me fix the flat. He rudely stated he was too busy to help. I told him I would pay for the service but he still declined to help. I then walked back in to ask for a manager's contact and he immediately asked why, I told him it didn't regard him and wished to speak with someone else besides him. He then told me to get out and that it was safe to drive somewhere else. Luckily I have Triple A and they were able to get me towed out of there. The entire conversation he was rude and dismissive. I have never received such awful customer service. DO NOT go here.
