Bombay Sizzler/Tikka Taco reviews
19Must try veg manchuria! But not satisfied with the sizzlers! Quantity was less! Go for individual items you can get more quantity of food!
First day of their new location. Mike and his staff were very attentive. We had the Paneer Tika Masala. Tadka Daal Fry.and Chilli Garlic Naan. Everything was very tasty. The spice level is quite high so opt for medium Low if you prefer less fire. Looking forward to going back when they get their bar license. Overall a great experience. Good decor and fast friendly service. Highly recommended for authentic Indian food in the farmers Branch area
This WAS one of the best places where they served amazing Rumali roti wrap and many other delicious items. The quality and quantity has deteriorated over the time.
Tried Vegetarian Manchurian recently and it was super dry within and tasteless.
I used to highly recommend this restaurant my friends but now I regret my choice.
We used to love the food here but I guess not coming back anymore. The food taste is not the same. Also, the food portion has definitely decreased.
Hot garlic chicken, Chicken/Shrimp burnt garlic fried rice, Chicken Schezwan Noodles are pretty good. Just add less oil.
If Taco Bell served Indian tacos. That’s what the quality of their tacos taste like. Not absolutely horrible but it’s not a place I plan on going back to.
Great concept but I would suggest working on the quality of the food.
I go here for butter chicken, its good north indian style taste, which is hard to come by in this side of Dallas - so it is my go to place for butter chicken.
Maybe they can go a little easy on the butter next time because it becomes too much rich for consumption.
Great chili noodles. Some items need work (chicken) items. Overall good staff and quick service
Nice vegetarian options. Even though it is a fusion restaurant, it is Indian. They also serve good Indo-Chinese dishes.
Food was mediocre at best. Garlic naan was well done. Everything else was loaded with peas. Chef special curry was nowhere close to rich flavor and no cashews - I wouldn't recommend it.
Used to love getting take out from here. They were one of the only ones who would have both good quantity and quality. Lately their portions have decreased significantly. I ordered chicken Hakka noodles and saw that the portion was cut by nearly a third from before. I thought this was unintentional so I ordered once again but this time I had the rumali roti wrap. Not only was the wrap significantly smaller, it barely had any meat and rice. What used to fill me up in 1 serving now would require two. Absolutely disappointed. Can’t speak to their dine in experience but would NOT recommend their take out.
We tried here indo Chinese sizzler, it was good. There plain hakka noodles are good alongwith dry manchurian. We came here to try paneer Tikka wrap which we didnt like much because the taste of rice overwhelmed the paneer tikka curry and sauces in it. I will certainly recommend this place for indo Chinese food or noodles.
Service was good and food tasted good however the portions were horrible. They barely gave any meat and stuffed the tacos mainly with lettuce. Not worth the price.
1st time visiting. The owner was super awesome & explained what all the items were and how I can put them together. Very kind of him. Cashier was a sweetheart & just as awesome. Food was delicious & hot. Pleasing to the eye & taste pallette. I'll be returning.
The owner was very rude. I went with the family and my kid is particular about food and we carried her food. We wanted to order for us but they rudely denied saying we can’t dine if our daughter chooses to eat her own food. We left and went to a Thai restaurant and the owner was very respectful there saying ofcourse the kid can eat what they’d like to.
My experience at this place is disaster. The food is tasteless and with one piece of meat spread over 2 tacos I could barley see or taste any meat and the tikka taco sauce. When asked the women said that’s the standard amount of meat given in each taco. Atleast for the amount you charge you can easily give good amount of meat
Man! Food is okay but the way dude (owner) talks to his female employees…halfway through my lunch, made me wonder if i was supporting that behavior. Owner, you gotta respect your employees.
The owner of this restaurant is so inconsiderate. My kid has dietary restriction and very picky. We had ordered our food and he did not allowed us eat the food that we ordered from his restaurant.
Note: If your kid has any dietary restriction do not go there. The restaurant owner is inconsiderate and do not allow that.
I went to the Tikka Taco restaurant around 9pm on Friday night. The ambiance was good and calm, with not a lot of people. The staff working there was the most friendly one I have seen. We ordered Chinese bhel, taco with paneer tikka and veg Manchurian (we get 2 tacos per order and we can choose different stuffings), Rumali roti with achari aloo stuffing, and additionally, we got the chips and salsa since I checked in!
The chips and salsa were average (the chips were not fried well)! The tacos were the best! Both paneer tikka and veg Manchurian were flavorful and an absolute delight! However, I would not recommend the Chinese bhel because the regular one is too spicy (though the staff working there informed about this). The rumali roti with achari aloo was average again! I would suggest going with the tacos (naan base always, not rumali) instead!
Overall, Tikka Taco is a very unique Indian taco place to visit, especially for the delicious tacos. Just keep in mind to avoid the Chinese bhel if you're not a fan of spicy food. Don't forget to check-in for the complimentary chips and salsa!
