Borderland Steakhouse, El Paso TX

Wednesday night is Karaoke Night at the Borderland Steakhouse. Great, friendly, good food and steaks. If you're in the mood to tryout your voice without fear, this is the place.

We arrived at the time it opened and we were the 1st customers. I had to use the restroom and it was utterly disgusting. For it to just open for business, the restroom should have been clean. I ordered the chicken fajitas and the food was luke warm. The waitress was more on her phone in the corner than giving customers attention. Not a very good experience.

Sooooo I LOVE the food. I love the location and the view from the top floor. I love the sirloin and asparagus. Best steak I've ever had and great atmosphere. Hidden gem. Slow service tho even though it wasn't busy.

Arrived on time for reservations.
Bathroom was not cleaned from Night before.
Waitress wasn't friendly during order time or the entire visit.
Never asked if we were missing anything, needed anything, refills on drinks, NOTHING!

Food was cold!
Had to wait on drinks because no lemonade was made. Remember they just opened.
ATMOSPHERE was bland
Will never revisit

We had an amazing time. Great service. Nice hidden restaurant. Super close to my home. Request the second floor to get that amazing view.

Not impressed. Over seasoned mediocre steak. Beans were good. Old, musty, smell with very dusty decorations. Will not come back.

Had two celebrationsn, Moe's serves the best drinks! The food had great taste! The atmosphere was off the hook with dj karaoke Randitious Randy, everyone had a great time!

I feel lucky that I was able to have experienced such a place. Great food and an amazing staff. I can not wait to return

I ordered a 12 ounce sirloin to be cooked "Medium" but received it cooked "Well-done". Somehow it still had some juice and it tasted good enough to enjoy the experience. I still would have preferred my steak between Medium-rare and Medium (served with a hot, pink center)
Next time I will specify "Medium-rare" and maybe they'll cook it Medium. My companion had the Salmon and Tortilla Soup, and enjoyed them very much. The bartender, "Moses" served us and made the experience enjoyable. He kept our drinks filled and provided excellent service.

Pete the owner is a Class Act goes out of his way to recognize his customers very professional.

First off. I love the building. Beautiful murals, decor and views. Took my wife here on a Wednesday for or our anniversary. The first thing one notices is the prices in the menu, which leads you to believe it will be an excellent meal. Unfortunately, not so. My salad had more white lettice than green. The ranch dressing was very runny so I expect it was thinned out with milk. I ordered chicken fried steak that was 70% batter and 30 % meat. I took four bites of crust before I ever tasted any meat. My wife's steak was also dry due to being overcooked. The baked potatoes were perfect. We mentioned our concerns to the friendly waitress who said she would advise the kitchen. But, no offer to consult a manager or mitigate the issues or the account. Disappointing. I do not understand the wide disparity of reviews here. Many 2 stars as well as many 5 stars.

The restaurant was empty on a Saturday evening. To go into dining area you had to climb 3 sets of stairs. The sirloin steak I ate was horrible tasting and my BF’s chicken was super dry. Especially for the price! It’s unfortunate because it has possibilities. They need to add real dining tables downstairs.

Absolutely terrible experience! We reserved a table for 10. It took 1.5 hours to get our food. Never got a drink refill. The steak was well done despite being ordered RARE! Dinner salads came out with the meal. We threatened to leave at 1 hour but we're being told it would be out any minute. Just save your money! Awful experience
