Gift Shop BoxLunch reviews
13 Store is always well stocked and clean when I visit, employees are always nice and helpful.
Shout out to Tyler, I recently picked up an online pre-order for some funko pops. I exchanged a couple of them for others that looked better in store. One figure didn't look great and I decided to exchange it the next day. All the in store pops looked the same but he went to the back to double check for me which was very kind. Wound up just returning it but customer service was awesome.
A very cool place for pins/action figures/clothing/snacks and more, full off alot of things from movies shows and etc.
My partner and I had a negative experience with the store manager here. We stopped by to check out their store and found some cute pins, so we headed to the register. My partner has an employee discount from a partner store that they wanted to use. We brought the pins to check out and paid successfully with the discount, but we payed using my card as couples tend to do. We share our money and switch between who pays for little gifts like that. Anyway, after we used my card the manger then asks us if we were married, to which I responded "not yet" then he says that we cant buy the pins with my card & we will have to return them and use my partner's card, because it is their discount. I would understand that policy if it was a crazy expensive or exclusive item, but it was not. The total of the two pins was less than $15. He then proceeded to tell us that we could call HR to request a written note stating that we were domestic partners and that I could pay for their stuff with an employee discount only after it was stated by HR. I could only think that it was a personal bias of his to call us out on a $14 purchase especially as he let us completely pay, before mentioning any "policy" about paying for others. I hope box lunch learns to keep their employees political opinions separate from their policies, it really sucks that we experienced that because we had loved going to box lunch beforehand.
Such an amusing place. Tons of cool items for anyone to find interesting. Plus, they offer a Military discount!
Fairly priced nerdy/anime items & when we went they had a cool set for Stranger Things to take photos at
Very fun products, but I have to give a poor rating for customer service.
Long story:
Bought some Kirby PJs because I'm a dork. I checked out in the kiosk area as directed by staff. I drove home before realizing a security tag was still attached. I live a 20-30 minute drive one way from the mall, so for this inconvenience the associate apologized profusely and gave me 5 coupons (25% off expiring too soon to use, and 4 coupons worth $15 on purchases $30 or more, stackable). They also told me to contact the company through customer service on the website and I did.
Firstly, the coupons do stack, but the website limits to 2 per order. And it is not stackable on existing discounts, so with today's website discount of 15% off a total order ~$80, half of my coupons are worthless; and I'd need to spend on two orders to take advantage of all of my coupons that didn't expire. Strike one. Secondly, I have not heard back from the customer service contact regarding this failure. Strike two. This was an overall unpleasant experience and the BoxLunch's service recovery failed for me. I will not be patronizing this company and will probably recall this sour experience if/when it comes up in future conversations.
The store is clean and organized. Thomas helped me choose a birthday gift. He was super helpful and patient with me. Definitely deserves a raise, answered all my questions and gave me great recommendations. They loved their winnie the pooh birthday day gifts.
Expensive but interesting place to shop for unique gifts. Similar to Hot Topic. I bought a pin for a birthday present ($11).
I just have to say I’ve never had a bad experience here! The staff are always helpful and fun to be around. Mike & Thomas were fantastic and great with helping me with my purchase. I’m so happy I have this Boxlunch here in Austin.
Good selection of collectors items. They sell Loungefly bags from Disney collection, Sanrio also. I got a boba sippy cup, Aapa magnet, and a 101 Dalmatians blind bag keychain. So many different items from numerous fandoms!
Store is clean and all tidied up. Only thing is for today I had to pay at their outside kiosk since their cash registers weren't working.
Will return again!
Loved the anime collections with all the t shirts, and cool collectibles like bubbleheads and splush toyswhich are really a heaven for animals lovers like me!
The store has a lot of different anime stuff like Naruto, DBZ, Attack on Titans, Pokemon, to various cartoons and animations.
Fun spot to christmas shop for the family or pop culture fans if you happen to be in the mall. Customer service was excellent at this location.
I came in just to look around and me and my family ended up buying a handful of shirts and sweaters. We got check out by Sarah. She was so sweet and so helpful. She deserves a raise! Everyone else was also very kind and helpful. I love to shop here and the customer service is always a1.
