BOXX Technologies reviews
6Boxx is a great company. I've been using an Apex S3 for Solidworks for 5 years now and couldn't be happier with their product and support. I just had the pleasure of working with Kris Garcia today on some updates and I walked away happier than I woke up this morning, so thank you very much.
We used to be enthusiastic Boxx customers. Our most recent purchases have proven to us that Boxx is not the company to turn to for enterprise-level, or even good, hardware. When many of the keyboards failed on our 2-1/2 year computers that cost $5,000 each, we were told they couldn't get them any longer and recommended we use USB keyboards connected to our laptops.
We now have hinges coming unglued and failing on computers that are less than 18 months old and we were told that they were out of warranty. When we asked about paying to have them repaired we were told we would have to pay shipping to MSI, repair fees, and return shipping and that it would be cheaper to just buy a new machine. My most recent email about these issues wasn't even responded to.
We recently bought much better performing machines from a competitor (rhymes with "tell"). Unfortunately, we can no longer trust Boxx to provide a good product or support.
With over 30 years of experience in dealing with computers and the need for technical support, I have never had this level of professionalism. The investment choices I have made with BOXX Technologies products have offered such grand reassurance in speaking with their tech support team. By far, their team has proven to be the most relatable, reliable, knowledgeable, professional and courteous folks to me in seeking assistance.
You reach out to company's for a solution and may have limited knowledge, but that gives no one the right to disrespect you. Michael the Account Manager was extremely disrespectful when I was simply asking questions and attempting to provide answers based on my limited tech background. I would highly recommend not working with this business.
Experience could be better.
System specs are decent, and I noticed that some quality components are used, like Seasonic power supplies.
Unfortunately, the motherboard died (Asrock is really not a great choice for a premium system.) and we were sent another DOA, refurbished motherboard replacement with the same issue. They also should be performing these repairs in house rather than recommending a non-technical end user perform an entire motherboard replacement themselves. Reads to me as creating opportunities for the customer to cause new damage to the motherboard to have a scapegoat.
Experienced phone line issues accessing "24/7 tech support" resulting in dead transfers.
Sales staff were rude and repeatedly interrupted and talked over me.
