Dr. Bahn is very pushy and uses unnecessary scare tactics to add tests and expensive contacts, treatment, etc. She told both of my children that they were close to having detached retinas and to call her if they had the detachment symptoms, she told my son that his eyes were going to continue to grow for the next 18 years causing possible blindness (he’s 16?), and my daughter was told she had possible cancer in the back of her eye or it could be a freckle. Another gentleman that was in the waiting room was HOPING to get his glasses replaced because they were broken. He had a gift card to pay for the visit and glasses BUT Dr. Bahn told him he ALSO had a detached retina so more tests were needed therefore he couldn’t afford the glasses he needed to replace. She should be reported! The entire group is a scam including all of the family members that work there! Dr. Boyd would be appalled his practice is being run like this. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK AND WARN EVERYONE IN MANSFIELD AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS! So sad!

Everyone was so warm and welcoming! I found this business through a small business thread in Mansfield, made the appointment that night, and I’m so glad I did. I couldn’t even tell you the year I last had my eyes checked and from the moment I walked in until I walked out, I was taken care of and walked through everything so well. Thank you Brandy for tagging your business so I could find my new eye center!

I am really disappointed to leave this review. Overall, the staff is kind and Dr. Bahn is thorough and caring.

Being new to the area I came back this year as I have a pretty high prescription and fairly complicated vision risks, but last year my gut told me to go elsewhere and I should have listened. First of all - wait times are atrocious for anything - even with an appointment made. Sure insurance benefits can be unclear at times, but if I say I want an eye exam for GLASSES ONLY why am I and insurance billed for replacement contact lenses/fitting when nothing regarding contacts was requested, changed, or even explained to me. Sure enough staff helped me when trying to make ordering a pair of glasses more affordable (after they used benefits that I still believe should not have been used), just to be told there is a 50% restocking fee to cancel an order - less than 24 hours later?

I had a very expensive and intimidating retinal procedure performed after a referral with my last eye exam. I truly prioritize continuity of care as I appreciate Dr. Bahn's expertise and proactivity, but this office makes it very hard to want to continue business here. I am awaiting a call back regarding the restocking fee, but I do not think the answer will change my mind or make this experience whole.

Had a great eye exam by Dr Banh. I really appreciate that she not only gives me a presciption to see better, she also educates me on the health and care of my eyes. The staff is warm, welcoming, and very helpful. I loved this experience. Boyd Eye Care is the best.

The entire staff was friendly and comforting. I was in and out within a short time frame and the front desk person (I don’t remember her name, unfortunately) was very kind and helpful with choosing my glasses and getting me checked out at the end.overall a great experience!

Eye exam and pricing were great, staff friendly, but waiting on my glasses order seems really archaic. It has been over 2 weeks and I called to check on the order and left a voice message and no one called back. I went in and was told they should arrive the next day and I would get a call. That was today and I heard nothing. I guess I’ll drive up there again tomorrow to check. I haven’t worn glasses since the 90s and LensCrafters made my glasses in an hour. I can’t believe it takes so long 30 years later.

Doctor Peterson is amazing. He always takes the time to listen and is extremely knowledgeable in his field. The staff have always treated my family and myself with outstanding customer service.

The staff and doctor are lovely, professionals that take extra care to investigate concerns that you have while finding the best prescription for you. They also have a wide range of frames from super cute budget friendly ones to brand name beautiful options.
