Braid Town reviews
17I’ve been going to braidtown for 4yrs now & they’ve done a great job every time. They are always fast & my braids are always neat every time. I’ve had Two braids, box braids, knotless braids, Goddess locs (hand wrapped) & Marley twist! All have been flawless! When someone ask me where to get their hair braided I always recommend braidtown.
The owner is very nice and sometimes they do good braids but the workers are very rude. They have a attitude soon as you walk in the door. I always call the owner “Matu” she is very nice and professional. I think she just need new workers.
NEVER TF AGAIN! I came here to get a crownrow ponytail without weave for my 4&6 year old daughters. They told me no one in there can do it and I would have to go to another location. I called the owner (who told me they can do it today) and let her know the situation and she said she was sending someone to do my kids hair. I sat there for almost 2 hours waiting and I called her back to get an update and she said the girl isn’t answering the phone. Wasted my freaking time!
Drove 1 hour to a 9am hair appointment to get my hair braided in 2 braids.the lady didn't show up until. 1 hour and 47 minutes later.very unprofessional
The service was poor, and they talk about people in their language, they are not professional at all,
If you need braids, locs or weaves, they are the best in town! Fast, courteous and reasonable prices! Matu is amazing!
I told the lady to leave my edges out nd she still braided them nd she seemed to have a attitude nd she didn't know I speak French nd was talking all type of stuff about me never coming back.
Best service ever I was in and out in 2hrs it was 3 people in my head so it was quick and everybody was nice and friendly
They charge me $150 my daughter had regular braids in the back and knotless in the front braids only lasted for 2 weeks I will not recommend this place to anybody and they will never get my business again
I went to braid town Sunday and got box braids I had 3 ppl on my head my edges was pulled so tight and I had bumps Monday I had to take the braids out around my edges bc they gave me a migraine soo bad I went to work and my boss sent me home bc I was in so much pain the braids were very neat but too freaking tight
Wish I could give them zero. Called hours ahead of time to check availability told them the style that I wanted freestyle braids and they told me it was fine.i told them that I would be there for six and they said fine. When I get there they asked me what i was there for when I told them freestyle braids they told me ok and have a seat. 25 mins later they have be a phone and tell me to come to Scott Street. Really. After all that. I went and paid for hair and everything to be turned down. Never again. No one even apologized.
I currently have dread locs in my hair and I went to Braid Town for butterfly faux locs. Theresa did an amazing job and it was $180 which was cheaper than most places.
My original loctician canceled my 1pm appointment so I had to find someone else to twist my locs. I called yesterday for a retwist on my locs and explained what happened. The owner told me to there at 9 a.m. Which I was. I have been here for 2 and a half hours waiting just for a retwist of my real hair! I told her I had a friends funeral to attend which I now have to miss because they lied for 2 hours telling me someone is on the way. I had no choice but to stay because I drove from Webster to get my hair done since my original loctician canceled on me. I'm so, so hurt that I could not attend my friends funeral because of unprofessionalism and not keeping up with clients. I understand it's first come first serve, but if I tell you I'm coming g and I need dreads retwisted, why do don't you have a twister here for me 6 other percent before me because they were getting braids. I WILL NEVER be back!
I got a three layer braid style. Yes only to discover my braider Aisha didn’t give me even braids all around. Will never come back!
I went to Braid Town to get a touch up Sunday because my braid shop was close. I was very disappointed with my braids. They charged $80.00 dollars for two rows and part of the row in the front was not done. They also charged an additional $10.00 to take down five braids. The touch up look like a beginner did it. I didn’t complain I even tipped the lady for her services but I will not return there not at all! I will not recommend this place. The work is not quality work. Well, the stylist I had need more practice.
I called @7: 10pm to ask if they were still open she said yes I asked her was it a wait for 2 braids she said No there is No wait I got there in like 10-15 minutes. I get there one of the ladies say there is No one here to do the 2 braidsI saud I called and the lady said it was No wait. I have called multiple times shes keep telling me im on the way she finally gets here at 8: 25pm. How do you set appts.at one location that you are not At POOR SERVICE
Not satisfied with the braids. I was charged $92 for stitch braids and they were almost regular cornrows I’m disappointed in the professionalism of this business I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Rude and nonchalant #moneyhungry
