Brashear Family Medical: Ben Brashear, MD, Kaufman TX

I have been a patient at Dr. Brashear for a few years. Don’t care for him or any of the male staff they are rude and dismissive. I on the other hand love Rebekah and Crystal so I continued to go. Yesterday I left work in pain with what I Assume is a kidney infection and went straight to the office. I explained to the office manager that I was in pain and needed to see somebody. She informed me they don’t take walk ins which I understand. I said that It was ok if I couldn’t see a doctor I could leave a sample and they could test it and give me a call. She stated that The doctors wouldn’t do that. I then said so I’m coming to my doctors office and their is nothing y’all can do but send me to an ER. She said yes our Doctors don’t do walk ins. I said I’m not a walk in I’m your patient who is in pain which she stated sorry. Unfortunately my bladder didn’t get the memo about walk in's.today I called to discuss with my actual doctor about what I need to do in the future as I can’t spend thousands on a ER visit. I was told per the doctors Crystal wouldn’t be returning my call and if needed I could make an appointment but per Dr Brashear they didn’t get involved with things like this she said. I will not be returning to this office nor will my family members. I expect more from my doctors than being told to figure it out or hold out till later in the afternoon when you are clearly in enough pain that you left your job. They clearly have enough patients that they didn’t care about what I needed or my care.

My Dad see Crystal Lucas and she is? Amazing- wonderful, the BEST BEST ever, my dad is 85 with a lot of health issues and she ask for blood work and test and is on top of everything going on with him. She give me peace of mind. Dad is hard of hearing and she is so understanding and talks loud and in words that he understands. If it wasn't for Crystal I believe my dad would not be here with us

This office is very good. I take my mom here and the doctor is always very informative and proactive with their care. It has given my mom a lot of peace of mind to have a doctor that is actually concerned about any and all medical issues she has and works hard to find the best treatment.

Very clean place and very welcoming. I went here to see Dr Brashear and was greeted by Ana in the front. Ana welcomed me with an infectious smile and answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them) politely. She was patient with me and I appreciated.

My visit was a drop by to interview Dr. Brashear as we're looking for a Medical Director. The way Ana worked with me tells me a lot about Dr Brashear, the staff and how they run things. Great place

Front office was very friendly. Saw Dr. Brasher for my first appointment. I don’t understand some of these bad reviews bc he was very professional and explained the pros and cons of my options. He lessened to my concerns. He had his professional opinion which all Doctors do. I did not go in looking for sympathy I was wanting Facts regarding my health decisions. I have worked for doctors for over 20 years and I see nothing wrong with this medical office.
There is never a perfect office or person.
Never a guarantee that a patient won’t get sicker after seeing a doctor. Life happens…medicine works and sometimes it don’t. That’s why there are specialists who study different parts of the body who can figure out a diagnosis when a primary doctor is not able to. You
Don’t go to a proctologist when you’re having a mental health crisis you see a psychiatrist…and so on.
