Brick & Brews reviews
17Great place. Spinach and artichoke dip was one of the best I've had. The pizzas were great as well, great crust. Also had a great selection of draft beer.
My husband and I came down here from maryland for my treatment at MD Anderson and I am so glad we stopped here. Amazing place to walk-in and get a brick fired pizza. Great beer choice and table options. I would order from GH and/or UE too. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable as well. Best food of my entire month-long stay here
So we decided to try this place out since we take the road it's on all the time so we see it and we wanted to see what it was about.
The staff was okay, not very friendly. Bunch of teenagers who had the mindset of they just had to "be there" and that's it.
One thing we really thought was odd was the fact they told my family member they have no diet sodas, at all. The only non sugar drinks they had was tea and water. Tea does not really pair with pizza? I understand you are trying to stick with local businesses but maybe think of those who are trying to watch their weight or has a medical issue where they can't intake that much sugar. Especially since you do have a crustless option, it seems you would have a diet soda.
Another weird thing was it was very hot in the restaurant. They do have a big pizza oven off to the side but they should really bump up the A/C to counter that thing. Alot of flies and very hot inside.
But the food was VERY good, pizza was cooked just right!
We had eaten all of our leftovers by the end of the night
Amazing pizza. Had great flavor and the crust had the perfect amount of char. The staff was super friendly. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place earlier. My wife had the gluten free crust and she loved it and so did I. We will be coming back here on the regular. My new favorite pizza place.
Great experience! Stopped by for a delicious fig & pig pizza and a beer with my mama. Absolutely recommended
We had the French dip pizza and a couple beers. We had never been there before and it did take us a few minutes to find the place as it’s kind of in the back behind other restaurants, but we really enjoyed it. The pizza was fantastic, beer was good. Everyone was very friendly and they play GREAT music. They also have a large tv where they had a soccer game on.
Definitely will return!
Won't ever go back here again wanted to try it cuz It looked good just to order a French dip pizza at 6: 34pm just to be told at 7: 14pm they don't have sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions granted they told me if I want to change it they would push it to the front but still take 10 min to cook
Haven’t been here since the new owners took over and won’t be back, unfortunately. The place is nice and we really wanted to love it but our experience was less than favorable. Our appetizer was delivered to another table where it sat for nearly 10 minutes before being returned inside. Realizing what was happening I followed it in to ensure it wouldn’t be brought back out to us and unfortunately it was. The owner himself was bringing it out and seemed offended when I asked for it to be replaced with a fresh one. Eventually a cold buffalo chicken dip arrived at the table but no plates, forks or napkins. I had to go get them myself.
Nice people but terrible service.
I had the Pizza Bianco on a gluten free crust.
Gluten free crust is home made, soft like a cheesy bread! Who doesn't like cheesey bread.
And they have gluten free beer on the menu.
I'm coming back soon!
By far the best place in this entire area! This was our first time here and we are blown away. It small but spaced out please with a beautiful patio. Menu is small but big enough to please every one in your party! Staff was very knowledgeable and super friendly! Not bad on prices, we order 2 beers, an appetizer and a pizza for less then 50 bucks Definitely a place we will keep close to our hearts and visit frequently.
Everything is great about that place, food is great too. Just be prepared to wait 1.5 hours to get your pizza. Yes 1.5 hours! One pizza! You hear all tables asking about their food. I left a review about that, and the owner wrote me to tell me that this is a normal wait time. Too bad
For $15.50, you'd think you could get more than 6 small breadsticks with your dip. They do not agree. With about 30% of our dip left and the bread long gone, they said it would be $3 more for more bread
The weather is really nice though so I'll throw in an extra star
100% recommend! The pizza was amazing and the staff were very friendly. We had the Pig and Fig pizza and I will definitely come back to regularly to get that pizza. So good!
Very W service, we were far away from the restaurant and they still came over to help. W mans
Very expensive, very bad pizza. Ordered the Fig and Pig and got an argument and a sick stomach. The dough is bad. It’s just bad. First time, pizza came with a bucket of arugula on top and raw dough underneath. Guy came out to assure me that it wasn’t raw, just so greasy that is seemed raw. No, it was greasy AND underbaked. I didn’t want to argue, and he further assured me a replacement pizza would be out in 5 minutes.
Much longer than 5 minutes pass, my family has finished their dinner, and finally a replacement pizza is brought to me. It has less arugula this time, but with burnt crust, slightly more cooked but still a bit gummy bottom, and just as much grease as before. Besides the dubious cooking method, the taste is off. It’s too sweet. It tastes like they dumped a jar of jam on a pile of cheese. I’ve had fig and prosciutto pizza before at other restaurants. It’s never been this sweet.
$22 for the worst pizza this side of a Chuck E. Cheese.
Child’s cheese pizza was also suspiciously soft. Husband enjoyed bbq pizza, but it wasn’t worth $22+
I give 10 stars for atmosphere. Too bad you’re paying so much for the owner’s over head.
I really should have just asked to have the pizza comped and walked away. I took the stupid thing home and now it’s glaring at me from the box. I really can’t eat this thing. I already feel sick from eating essentially a spoonful of jam on raw dough. And paying so much for the “pleasure” too.
Super cute and quaint pizza bar. The drinks were not a bad menu and the pizza was pretty delicious
I have to say we were disappointed.
First why is a very small Caesar salad $9.95. Took us by surprise. We had the margarita pizza and the Bruschetta pizza. Both were good. Just not great. Too much balsamic vinegar, taking away from the rest of the flavor. Seemed like only one person taking orders and the rest in the kitchen. Berr was good. Had to keep asking for tea refills. True potential here. However we won't be back. Too many good places closer to home
