I would highly recommend BrightStar and specifically Raquelle and Patrick. Raquelle is very caring and empathetic. She was prompt to schedule to see me at home on the day of my discharge from the hospital, which put me at ease considering all of my home health needs. She is very methodical and thorough. Really enjoyed having her as my home health nurse. Patrick helped me regain my stability and strength through physical therapy. He encouraged me and gave me exercises appropriate for my state in the recovery process, and adjusted as needed. I’m able to walk without assistance of a walker, go up and down stairs, and enjoy the independence of getting around on my own. 5stars for both Raquelle and Patrick!

My therapist was Patrick for rehab following a knee replacement. His knowledge and demeanor were exemplary. He explained the anatomy of my knee and legs in terms that were easy to understand, the root causes of the need for rehabilitation from the surgery, and what each exercise is meant to accomplish. He was very patient and encouraging through the most difficult period in my recovery and I made great progress in 4 weeks. I highly recommend him as a physical therapist and will seek his expertise if/when I need physical therapy again.

I worked with Patrick for 7-1/2 weeks. His knowledge and patience are remarkable. He is an excellent teacher and is firm in his expectations but goes about it in a compassionate manner. He is excellent in his field and would highly recommend him. Additionally Bright Star was efficient and very easy to work with. I’d highly recommend them as well.

Patrick has been amazing. He is kind, caring and extremely knowledgeable. In less than three weeks after my surgery, he has me ready to begin outpatient PT. Patrick, thank you again for all you have done to make my post surgery journey such a success.

I’ve been working with my awesome PT, Patrick, for 9 weeks and have improved so much! When I started the assessment process, I had recently been released from the hospital and I could not walk across a room on my own without limping hard on my left leg and being completely exhausted afterwards. I’m now able to walk not only across my bedroom but from my bedroom at the back of the house to the kitchen at the front of the house all on my own without getting tired! I’ve even started walking continuously for 5 minutes, something I definitely could not have imagined 9 weeks ago! Not only have my balance, strength and endurance improved dramatically but my mindset has also become even more positive! I have had a tendency in the past to really beat myself up for “not doing enough” during high chronic pain days or when I’m recovering from seizures. Patrick has really helped me focus on maintaining what I’ve gained and resting without feeling as guilty about needing that rest in the first place. That encouragement and reminder that I AM doing something even on those harder days when I’m resting so I can approach the exercises with more energy has really helped me give myself more permission to rest without beating myself up for it like I used to. When I first started out with exercises from Patrick, I just wanted to get out of bed and walk across my bedroom on my own. Now that I’m being able to do that every day and get to the living room and kitchen by myself, I definitely feel my world has opened up in ways that seemed far down the line a couple of months ago! I can now get up from bed on my own when I’m having a rest day and cross my bedroom to turn my overhead fan on and off and return to my bed without needing any assistance. I couldn’t even sit up on the edge of my bed on my own when I was first released from the hospital. So, I’m extremely grateful to see these moments of progress occurring!:) I also could not feed myself, and now, I’ve gone to the kitchen to heat up leftovers for myself without it exhausting me or overexerting my back and hips. It’s truly a night and day difference for me, and there’s no doubt that I wouldn’t have progressed this far in just a little over 2 months time without the daily exercises, reminders to rest and encouragement from Patrick! I’m feeling human again and participating in things with my family that I was missing out on before when I couldn’t get to the kitchen or living room on a regular basis and needed help to get that far. I’ve even been able to walk out into our driveway with my family to enjoy the beautiful red leaves, something I used only be able to enjoy through a window. Being outside again really improves my day, and I’ve even been able to stand in our yard and chat with neighbors I haven’t seen in months! This has also opened my life up in ways that I wouldn’t have believed a couple months ago!:) I honestly wouldn’t have pictured myself walking this much when I started out, but now that I’m being able to walk out of my bedroom and into the front of the house each day, I feel like my abilities at the start was a completely different lifetime and couldn’t be more grateful for these changes!:) -Emily Morris

Patrick was my therapist and he was very supportive and helpful. I enjoyed working with him, because he would motivate me and help me to understand every detail of my therapy. He really has the best interest of his patients at heart.

I'm a long-term client of BrightStar Care. I am elderly and live alone but thanks to BrightStar I am able to stay in my home and have transportation for groceries, prescriptions, appointments, outings and the library. I can live independently, yet I'm looked after and many of my needs are met by my caregiver. I've had several well-trained, congenial, competent and reliable BrightStar caregivers over the years. My experience with the company and its team of personnel has always been more than satisfactory. My family, as well, is appreciative that I am safe and happy with BrightStar.

I had my picc line put in after my knee surgery and Pam came out and showed me how to take care of that. She was very informative and personable. Tish was my home health care nurse and she was prompt, communicative, and kind! Mindy took out my picc line and was also very kind and knowledgeable! All I can say about BrightStar is that they are Awesome and if they are working with you then you are in very good hands!

For my first of two knee surgeries my doctor recommended BrightStar Care for my home therapy. My therapists Patrick was incredible, caring and knowledgeable doing his job. He really cared in my therapy process to help me have a healing recovery from surgery.
I have my second knee surgery scheduled in seven weeks I will be signing up with Brightstar Care requesting Patrick for my therapist!

I have both wound care and Physical Therapy this past month. I have to say I've been quite impressed with everyone. Patrick, my PT has always been punctual and has me working hard. I can tell he cares and wants me to improve.
Tish and Raquel were my wound care nurses. They were very kind and tender with my wounds. Both of them make great nurses.

I've been working with Patrick for a few weeks for physical therapy and he has been great and very encouraging. It is easy to schedule the next appointment.

I have had BrightStar physical therapy twice in the last year. This time Patrick is my therapist. He is easy to work with. He is prompt for our appointments and flexible when meeting times need to be changed. He is very encouraging. More than anything, we are seeing definite progress! I love that I can have therapy without going anywhere! I am really glad I found BrightStar and would recommend them for any physical therapy needs.

I recently had abdominal surgery. Bright Star was set up for physical therapy. I had to stay in the Dallas area for a few weeks. Patrick came to me and provided me with several lower body exercises within my limitations. He was great. Very informative and made sure I had everything I needed to regain my strength. BrightStar has provided companions to my 89yr old father who has Alzheimer’s for almost a year. He lives in Assisted Living. I can not express enough how happy my sisters and I are with the compassion and care they show Dad! Elizabeth is so easy to work with- always responsive to any questions or requests we have. His regular companions Lisa, Oksanna and Gladys are truly in the right profession! The few times he has someone else has been a pleasure also. He calls them “his friends”- can’t remember their names but enjoys them! So happy with BrightStar!
