Buck's Steaks & Bar-B-Que, Sweetwater TX

BBQ buffet is one trip only. Not a lot of meat on that one trip and at 15 dollars a little bit over priced. They need to put up a sign that it is not a true buffet, it's buffet style. The food is still good and the service is excellent.

Service was mediocre and the fish was spoiled on the fish plate we ordered. Brought it to their attention they mentioned someone had complained earlier being in this type of business you would think it would have been handled on the first complaint. Atmosphere was relaxing and inviting would be a great place to eat regularly if quality of food were a priority. Possibly just the wrong time to eat I've heard good things so just might be a hiccup every place has had before!

Food was not very good. Wait staff was very rude. Took 20 minutes to receive our drinks. Will not return.
However, the young man that was our server was on top of his game.

Business wasn't above average busy, but service was slower than normal. Food was good. Time from ordering till appetizer came out was less than 15 minutes. But entree' was less than 3 minutes later after appetizers was delivered.
Buffet was asked to give couple pieces of Jalapeño Sausage. He stated you can't get both, not even 2-3 pieces. Either the Regular or the Jalapeño. His other foods were either out or nearly out, yet he was more focused on following 2 servers around to help them deliver food than replenishing his corn bread, BBQ sauce, potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad, onions, peppers or pickles. When asked for few pieces of meat on another trip, he said "only your server can get you more food. " 2 different Servers were asked. They stated "that isn't true. You can return to Buffet for more as long as you aren't taking it in a To Go container which is charged differently. "

Hello everyone, I’m Jay from the TinyWanderland. Myself and the Tinywanderer were passing sweetwater the other night and we rolled into bucks just at closing time (we had been told by a local they were open until 1am, turns out they close at 9pm.) regardless of the time, I was seated in the lounge by Shelly, and despite their mixed reviews I had a great experience. The food was fresh and hot, Stephanie brought me my sauces and Amber took my order. I’m not a foodie and I know everyone’s experiences are different, but mine was spot on and they stayed open to allow me to finish. Bucks, you made a long drive to Dallas much more pleasant because of that service and that meal. I thank you all!

The wait staff was probably the best of all the places we stopped while on vacation. Food was very good. But wait staff makes the stop remarkable.

Arrived to an empty restaurant except for a patron eating in the area we were seated our order was taken then a large family came in and we were soon forgotten our drinks were not refilled and I ended up refilling my husband's after a 46 min wait the waitress had not even put our order in we were served four rolls after we began to complain. Then after the rest of my family had finished their food from the buffet and we were still waiting for our stuffed spuds (baked potato with chopped brisket) we were offered a %15 discount fine just bring food finally after our family was done eating and couldn't bare the noise anylonger we received part of our food my brisket was as dry as jerky we had to keep asking for fixings such as bbq sauce and ranch no drink refills and didn't receive the appetizers we ordered the last draw was when my husband pulled a very long hair out of his mouth that was in his food and who knows who's nasty head it came from we walked out and we will never eat there again and if you choose to I highly recommend just ordering your food to go

Family friendly atmosphere with small town hospitality.

All the fried appetizers were wonderfully breaded. The ribeye was perfectly medium rare.

Love this place. I have been here on a wind energy project for several months. Great food, great people, cold beer.what else do ya need?

Brisket, ribs, macaroni salad, beans and corn bread were not good.really wish we wouldn't have stopped. Crazy dry Service was ok people were nice. Maybe there other food is good

For the week that I was staying at the ranch house motel next door, all the meals I had at Buck's were great and the service was excellent and the servings were huge! Next time that I am in the area, I will stop by. I figured out a few locations where a semi can park.

Horrible experience. Our drink order was taken by the man that sat us. Twenty minutes later, no one had shown up at our table. One waitress was waiting on everyone around us and another employee, who I was later told was the manager walked back and forth by us one her phone. I made eye contact with her several times, but was never acknowledged by either. We went to the front and paid for the one beer we had and left. Was told "sorry" at the cashiers desk, but that was it. Will not be back or recommend to anyone.

Card was charged multiple times in a night for much more than was spent here. 3 charges exactly for the same amount at 70% more than the tab. Have not been back since.

5/21/21: Fantastic steak! The 20oz ribeye is satisfying and cooked perfectly. I’ll be stopping in here regularly.
Update 11/8/21: it’s still great, and I stop in every time I go to West TX!

I've been here on 3 occasions and the food is mediocra at best and the service SUCKED on all three occasions. The ONLY reason I gave it the third try is because there isn't much open after 8pm on a Sunday in Sweetwater TX. My suggestion is if you're hungry at this time on any given day Whataburger is a couple of blocks Northeast
