Buddy Holly Center reviews
14Nice review of Buddy Holly and his music and short life. Sad and tragic but at least he lived an exciting life.
A well-made small focused museum devoted to the life and music of Buddy Holly. The bulk of the museum proper is items from Buddy's life, including several guitars and the glasses that gave him his trademark look. Additionally there is an art gallery space currently featuring several signed album covers from various rock and roll bands. The biggest draw to the Buddy Holly center is Buddy's Lubbock home preserved right beside the center with several guided tours everyday.
Splendid museum full of artifacts. Plan on spending at least an hour to fully enjoy everything.
Needs a better selection of t-shirts. Thought it was weird but no Buddy Holly music was player at all.
If you are lover of music and history this is an amazing must see if you are in the Lubbock Texas area. The exhibit that is devoted to Buddy Holly where you will see hand written lyrics, outfits and musical instruments and so much more. No photos allowed inside the exhibit, makes the visit that much more memorable.
Excellent exhibit. Young lady that guided us was very nice and helpful. Will definitely recommend to friend.
Buddy Holly is one of the most important figures in rock and pop music. His home town has done a great job putting together lots of reminders about this, as well as s glimpse into his childhood.
If you like music and you’re in Lubbock, you need to visit!
It's ok. Honestly, I thought it would have taken more time to get through the whole museum. Had a few cool things in it. But overall it's ok.
Nice museum that offers a great perspective on a very important musical pioneer. Not a ton of exhibits, but then you realize that Buddy Holly only had 22 years on this earth. Poignant and moving place.
Experience the Summer Showcase every Thursday and catch some great music in the historic Lubbock Depot, now know as the Buddy Holly Center.
Small museum with a fantastic collection of personal and musical memorabilia of Buddy Holly. Great staff and a nice gift shop too.
Very nostalgic, a lot of history about the early days of Rock & Roll. I can only imagine what if.
Amazing place. A lot of history of Me. Holly. Only issue was on one of the plaques with Ritchie Valens the year they have for him is wrong. He was born in 1941 and not 1931.
Great experience to learn about a musical icon who hap his music career cut short. Not allowed to take photos of the artifacts on display, but you can in the home.
