Bufalina Due reviews
17Pepperoni pizza is pretty good. Sauce has small chunks of tomato, mozzarella is fresh, crust is thin and delicious (a little over done for my taste).
NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. We came after seeing them ranked on a national list as a top pizza joint. Disappointed all the way around. Seating is mostly picnic table style with no high chairs or booster seats. Be prepared to share the table with strangers. No fountain drinks or ice tea options for those not wanting alcohol. The prices are very expensive and the pizza was terrible. We finally got our pizza after 45 min and they were not busy. The two parties after us got served before we did. Our pizza was undercooked on the bottom and all the toppings were sliding off, the marinara was soupy. We ended up getting our food for free due to obvious poor quality. Our sever (male with a mustache) was rude and inattentive when he realized we would not be buying wine. There are many better options in town with great food and a friendly atmosphere.
Food has great taste.
Disappointed in Four Cheese Pizza half of the pizza had no cheese second time being ordered.
Small salads portions.
New favorite pizza place in ATX! The pepperoni was thick and the sauce was sorta spicy in a good way! I want to try more of their menu!
With all the hype about this place, it was alright. Maybe too spoiled by other Neapolitan pizzas, but it was definitely not worth the price.
They automatically add a 20% tip for pick up orders and adding an extra $10 to my order making it $45 just for 2 pizzas.even though you get no service and are just picking up a pizza. Ridculous. Canceled my order before I payed.
Masters of what I'd call "pizza oven hei, " Bufalina Due makes excellent pizzas in a nice neighborhood atmosphere. I recommend the quattro formaggi and the vodka arrabiata and the margherita at least. Maybe I'll write a review later when I've tried all the pizzas. The fresh mozzarella was good and my first time I had the burrata which was excellent.
Their wine options are very solid as well. I recommend the happy hour while it's still available. IMO once the neighborhood figures it out the happy hour will be crazy. $7-$9 for that Neapolitan pizza is a god damn steal.
2 hour wait for a table (1 hour estimate) and
The wine menu is explicitly complicated and mostly overpriced sugary wines.
The pasta was tasty but very small quantity.
Our pizza came out a full hour after salad and pasta. A full hour.
We were here for over 4.5 hours and got a salad, a pasta, and a pizza.
I would not come back.
Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten and I've eaten a lot of Pizza in my day and many many countries so much appreciate the good service and the great food.
This is not our first, 2nd, or 3rd time at Bufalina Due, and its always super tasty. They have a great wine list, including some "orange" wines. We had some olives and nuts for snacks, a delicious Caesars Salad and 3 pizzas. My little one likes cheese and bread so, she was happy. We loved the 4 cheese with Talegio. And the vodka arrabbiata is spicy and delicious. We finished every bite of their Neapolitan crusts.
This is such a great place and the staff is always wonderful and accommodating. Bring the kids, had all 4 of my Knuckleheads tonight and they were all very happy and in typical craY form. Thanks for having us!
I don’t ever leave reviews. This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in Texas.and when you think Things can’t get any better then Molly shows up. With out standing service and incredible Pizza it literally can’t get any better.
I didn't really think the pizza was all that great. Gave them a shot for happy hour but thought the pizza was soggy and the flavors weren't really all that bold. Service was good
The burrata is exceptional and some of the pizzas are really great (some of the experimental ones are meh). I have had some issues with the sommelier suggestions; if you like "wild/funky" wine, this is a good spot for you, but twice now I have articulated what I would like in a wine only to get something that is totally unlike what I requested or how the server described it. One time the sommelier was excellent, but it's only been good 1/3 times.so to sum: the food is great, but next time I am bringing my own wine and paying the corking fee.
Great atmosphere but the pizza isn’t great. It’s good! Just nothing great. The natural wine selection is awesome though.
This place had a nice ambience and our waitress was very nice. Overall it was a good experience, especially since we came for happy hour. This is when pizzas are half off!
I don’t think I’d come here to pay full price… pizza is good, but I thought a little bland.
Excellent meal, just wish we'd been able to get drinks outside while we waited. Server only made it outside right before we were seated.
Started with nuts and olives, which were tasty but not a lot going on.
Gnocchi was stunning, the broccoli inside was not peak broccoli.
Fresca pizza was delicious.
The host was probably my favorite person there. It's a fun date spot. Barstools were very uncomfy.
One of the most authentic Italian pizzas in Austin. Great atmosphere and nice wine selection. Definitely recommend this place
