Bundu Khan Kabab House reviews
16If I could put 0 stars I would. The Asian girl that’s the Hostess was so FREAKING rude to me it’s unreal being very passive aggressive. I’m not an angry person but it took everything in my power to keep my hands out of her face. And I did. But…. I heard the way she was talking to other customers as I was being seated last week and was shocked. So I decided not to take it personal when I heard how she talks to literally everyone. Im thinking “sweetie you know there are other jobs right? ” I’m a gourmet caterer and that’s no way to treat a customer. Like you don’t own the place sweetie relax. You can get fired like everyone else.
I don't understand 3.8 star rating, it was a perfect chicken tikka breast and perfect Puri paratha. Spice, char and tender and juicy to the endth degree, haven't eaten better since Karachi original bundu khan on MA Jinnah road. Spices are not Americanized, which is lovely. Paratha perfect luqma araam sy banao not too greasy or flaky, just heaven! Beef seekh kababs were very good too. Lemon, raw onion, that chutney and Pakola, transported me to Karachi 20 years ago! Tip: go for lunch, no lines, perfect service. Congratulations to the owner and the whole team for creating this experience! Thank you!
Good place if you are looking for mainly kebabs.
Be prepared for the spice as the typical dish is spicy….
There are no curry dishes and I would have liked to see some curry options but I guess people who know this place, expect to eat dry food.
One of my most favorite bbq places in town. Absolutely amazing food and service. Ask for the chicken tikka extra extra spicy!
We found the food to be well-cooked and excellent overall. We all felt that the food was very fresh, which is a welcome change from the overall food quality at Houston restaurants
I don't like harping on small businesses hence my gentle review.
I believe that the food they offer is quite enjoyable for ethnics and locals.
Service was okay. No one came to check on us if the food was okay or if we needed anything else.
There were manager type people standing behind
the counter and not making any eye contact with the customers.
That I found little weird.
Being in States, hope they learn some common customer service norms.
Decent bbq, chicken boti, and chicken seekh kabab are the highlights. Bihari is quite good. Beef boti is very rubbery and tough, lost a star on that. Food was brought promptly which is great for a BBQ place. Chai is with trying.
Best Pakistani style BarBQ in USA. Me and my family were dying to eat authentic BarBQ Desi style and we get it all under one roof. Parathas, seekh kabab, chicken boti, beef behari boti every thing was so delicious and warm. Quick service friendly and hospitality at its best. Best spot for food lovers.
The same guy from their previous location is still rude who is working in university Blvd location. So sorry to face it in there. Not coming soon again. Also will recommend people to avoid them for their behavior.
The Name has lost its sizzle. Service by far is the worst ever! The Owner is the rude and believes he can treat people anyway he wants and people will still come to his restaurant. Food is good but don’t get the chicken it’s always undercooked and smells funky. Naan is always too crispy. This place needs Gordon’s Ramsay’s touch to better serve its customer
Food is great, they first ask how many people to add there % as there is no much service, they keep looking at main entrance how many people are on table, its strange when they stare at you.lol kind ok not that great where you can say wow.
Never disappoints, great bbq variety. Love parathas, chicken tikka and chicken boti. A must visit place on our every trip. Kids love it too.
Excellent food. I am here for a work trip from Canada and I wanted to try some authentic food. Let me tell ya, it didn’t disappoint at all, in fact the best kabobs I ever had and I have been living in Canada for over 20 yrs. I had chicken kabobs and chicken tikka masala. The food at the Bandu Khan restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. 5 star all around.
We've been going to Bundu Khan for the last two years. Food is generally good, but their BBQ chicken is consistently undercooked from the inside. Today's visit was particularly bad as all the pieces were bloddy and one of them was literally dripping blood. Upon complaining, the manager asked me to prove it to him that was undercooked. I don't think we'll be dining here anytime soon. They don't seem to understand the risk factor of uncooked or undercooked chicken. Good competition has sprung up anyways.
Ordered tika and halva puri. Tikkas were good but halva was very bitter. I think they put too much kewra water. We asked the waitress for some green pepper, but she said they are not allowed to provide extra pepper. That was very disappointing.
First off, RIP to the OG Bissonnet spot. Every time I pass by that building I remember the reason why I developed heartburn and I shed a tear. This continuous heartburn I have is from living life in the greatest food city in the US. BK contributes to this mantle with every extra spicy tikka they dish out on the daily. Very delish. Their paratha is the best I’ve ever had and I dream of the tikka a lot. Exclusive: mix the raita and chutney sauces together then squeeze the lime wedge over it, then dip your chicken. You’re welcome.
This spot is cleaner and has more room, and the toilets are always looking clean.
