Hamburger Restaurant Burgerteca reviews
20Nice place, great service! The food was very good! We met the mother of the owner (I think?) while we were waiting for our food. Very nice lady!
We really liked the take on burgers here. My wife had the al pastor and she actually finished. She's a really light eater. It clearly must have been amazing. The chicken chipotle burger I had was really good as well. The mole fries were out of this world.
Burgerteca has become one of my must go to spots every time I come to San Antonio and if I ever come with anyone it’s the first place I’m taking them too to try the burgers are amazing! The fries are top notch I have now tried the chili con queso fries and mole fries (pictured) and I can’t decide which is my favorite. I also got the strawberry sherbert it was also on the must have list if you have space after your burger… 10/10 I recommended burgerteca!
This place was a concession at a soccer game. Very rude employees. Didn’t want mayonnaise on my burger and the lady said I had to get the burger all the way plain or with everything on it. Got it plain, the burger was disgusting.
Food and service are terrific! And of course the Margaritas…. It’s a great place to eat outside along the Southtown Riverwalk.
Cool place. Very good burger and nachos! Nice outdoor seating. I would go back for sure. Also, we spoke with a nice lady who mentioned she was the owners mom (?). Such a sweet lady.
Saw this place on Texas Eats and noted they had an ofrenda kit for Dia de los Muertos. LOVED the kit and the food was pretty good too. Mole fries is where it's at!
I was very disappointed with the service. My family of 4 was charged a $10 large party gratuity that was taken off after I had to request for my check to see the erronus charge. We waited for about 40 minutes before we got our food and it wasn't that busy. I saw a family 5 get there well after us and served well before us. I ordered margarita and the server didn't ask me how I wanted she just took off. She brought our drinks but said give her 3 minutes before we could put our order in, it was more than 3 minutes. I complained to the manager he apologized greatly and wanted to make it right for my next visit but I'm not sure if I'm for paying for parking or battling HUGE flies again
Absolutely loved this place! Food was great and our waitress was very nice - and beautiful location. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
I enjoy going here. They have decent burgers and beer and good prices for the area. It's also close to the river so you can go biking or walking on the trails.
Wow. Slowest service for a burger in San Antonio! I wanted to like this place and I understand it’s hard to get people to work but why make people wait 45 minutes for a hamburger? ! I won’t be back. No water no service and we go here 40 minutes ago. Learned are lesson today about going to a place on Texas Eats!? 45 minutes now and still no burgers…find another place.
Excelente hamburgers, awesome drinks, great service, great ice cream as well, great service, mole fries were delicious. Highly recommend
Second time there. Great experience. Friday nights they have a death and vendors at tge outdoor area. Also a margarita truck. Peach margarita was delicious.
Close on Mondays. The food is very good. Order the Big Tex, $7.95 made it combo with soft drink and fries $2.25 more. It like a regular burger without cheese, tomato lettuce. With chipotle lime mayo and green sauce. Tables are made from large thick slice of a tree. There is outside seating. It located next the the river.
Great burgers! Friendly service! Definitely loved the “Al Pastor” burger since it’s a new take on the taco/burger. Only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is because when we went I saw they had “snow cones, ice cream, and fruit ice pops” on their windows but they actually only have 1 flavor of ice cream and ice pops. A little misleading and disappointing after walking all day on a hot day.
The food is so good. Owned by la Gloria restaurants so the margaritas are good. The place is just nice and the owner is there making sure you are satisfied. The burger I had was an al pastor burger. Very good. I was shocked at the flavors. It's a must try spot in south town.
Really cute place and the burger was decent, but I didn’t like the lettuce on the burger (it was shredded lettuce, not leaves). Fries were fine, worth it as the $1 addition but not at full price. Great happy hour that includes Saturday ($5 frozen or regular margarita, regular burger, nachos, etc). Will be back:)
Food is overrated. Prepare yourself to have an extremely long wait to order your food and even longer to get your check to pay. I had to ask my waitress three times for my check. I waited so long I was late getting back to work from lunch. Food was OK nothing spectacular and definitely not worth getting back to work late.
A new way to appreciate the good ole hamburger. Lot's of interesting and uncommon toppings. The Molè fries were delicious. The order ofvfroes was huge! Got tad mushy on the way home.
Service was poor. Asked for a Mango Margarita she makes me a lime one. I ask her about it and instead of making it correctly she pours mango juice in it. Had to wait on the hot dog because they had to go to H-E-B to get the stuff to make it. Never once asked if we needed refills or if everything was ok. First time there and will be the last.
