Bush's Chicken, Laredo TX

The attention was very good, the place was clean, the chicken was super good, nothing greasy: only the salad was a bit old

The food was terrible. The dining area looked messy and dirty. Tables were not clean. The windows looked like they had not been cleaned, from the outside, in a very long time.
The food was hardly edible. My son had Buffalo Chicken Fries. I ordered fries and a coke.
The Buffalo chicken fries looked and tasted like chunks of chicken breast meat covered in Louisiana Hot Sauce. The fries looked and tasted like Hill Country microwaved frozen fries.

Maybe they were having a bad day?

Laredo gets 3 digits heat = 100 Fahrenheit
The whole restaurant had NO A/C working and they had all employees working in the heat!

Not worth it.wife got charged $82.00 for a 20 piece family meal. She asked twice if it the right price and replied it was correct. Did not take order

Chicken very well made. I would get back but for the chicken only. The mashed potatoes and Cole slaw were very low quality. Don't enjoy saying this, but there should be a greater investment in these beautiful side orders. (Also, putting crispy chicken on soft rolls in a hot box creates flat bread).

Few times I've been here, the chicken has always been on point. Love their bread rolls and mashed potatoes.

I tried Bush's chicken for the first time yesterday. It was a long drive to the other end of town but, I thought I'd give it a shot. The place is clean and tidy. The decor is country-ish with booths along the perimeter by the windows and regular tables in the middle. The booths are typically comfortable but larger people will find it difficult to sit in them. They are the fixed type that you find in older burger joints (think Dairy Queen circa 1980).
For my order, I selected the 2 piece fried chicken dinner. I paid an up-charge to get 2 breasts. For my sides, I ordered the Mac and cheese and country Cole slaw. The chicken breasts were big and the sides were of a good size too.
I started with the mac and cheese, which I found to be doughy and bland. I've made better at home using generic boxed mac and cheese. The country cole slaw was better; it was creamy and sweet with a little tartness. The included bread roll was commendably light and airy.
The chicken looked good but at first bite, the breading was hard and had absolutely no flavor. It tasted like fried flour.and, the breast itself lacked any flavor; it tasted like boiled chicken, yuck! I resorted to removing the breading from the breasts. My plate ended up looking like an autopsy. Southern fried chicken is an art, many people take pride in making their own, well, not here.
Comparing the chicken only, Chick-fil-A, Popeye's and KFC have nothing to worry about. Bush's chicken would more directly compete with Church's chicken and, I would take Church's chicken any day! Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere. This chicken should only be sold at convenience stores and gasoline stations. FAIL!

Always fresh food but should really consider hiring staff with more friendly personalities, always feel rushed when ordering and given attitude when asking something about menu

First time I’ve tried Bush’s in Laredo sorry to say. Great food and fast friendly service. I’m definitely going to be going back in the near future! Excited to see another opening soon in Laredo. And nice to find a place that has livers and gizzards to I like that. Thanks.

The chicken is good people are just hating at the place for reason they have good employees and they are really nice when I went there

This place is like KFC expensive and the chicken ain't even that good $45 for a 12 piece and 2 large sides? Does it come with pay per view?

I don't know what the negative reviews are about, but this is my first time eating here and I have no complaints at all. Service was fast and food was good.

Dine in. I came here at 5pm. The best customer service I have ever received. Every fast food should have this type of service!

First time here it was good! Ranch does cost 3 for $1, and refills are free! It's hot in there tho. Either way I smacked on that mac and cheese

OMG don't get fooled with fried chicken. This restaurant is way far more delicious than any other fried chicken restaurant. Pieces sizes are great. Flavor and service amazing.we love it!
