C & C Car Care & State Inspection Station, Houston TX

DO NOT USE! Zero starts is more appropriate. Mechanic was the rudest, most short tempered person I've met in a long time. After struggling to read the VIN on a 50 year old car, I told him I could find on frame. He insists he "won't be crawling around to find anything", and I said I can find it for him. He then snaps and demands that the lady at the shop give me a refund. Then attempts to intimidate me with threats, saying "he'll show me a bad attitude", and "let me come over and show you a loud mouth" as he was yelling at me across parking lot. Went down street to nicer facility that had no issues providing safety inspection. I thought for sure no one would believe my story, but other reviews here are in line with mine. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP - hopefully a more helpful neighborhood mechanic can take over once it shuts down.

I went to get the inspection today and the lady was telling me that my brake light was not working and I need to change it before get it & I ask her how much is to change it here and the old guy there with her tell her I will charge her 40 in cash for the light and I was like no thanks I went to another place and the lady say everything was ok with my car and I get the inspection done ️ They trying to steal from you DONT GO THERE

Fui a hacerme la inspección hoy y la señora me estaba diciendo que mi luz de freno no funcionaba y necesito cambiarla antes de conseguirla y le pregunto cuánto es cambiarla aquí y el viejo allí con ella le dice que me cobraré 40 en efectivo por la luz y estaba como que no, gracias, fui a otro lugar y la señora dice que todo estaba bien con mi coche y hiso la inspección ️ Están tratando de robarte NO VAYAS ALLÍ

Needed my car inspected. They wouldn’t let me walk in without a mask which I respect. I didn’t have a clean one and they couldn’t offer me one either. I offered to just wait outside but they said I’d have to pay cash or walk inside with a mask to pay with cc. Went across the street to Choice Auto Care for quick and friendly service. I waited outside and paid from outside so I wouldn’t be around anyone without a mask. It was an easy solution! Just go across the street.

20 year old car, engine light on and due for inspection. Edwin itemized everything it could be, much less expensive than I had been quoted at other places, and actually fixed the problem! He and his wife are decent, honest people. I see reviews about masks being required, and I applaud them for this! I will use their service from now on.

When the management of a business aggressively demand you wear a mask without having one on their own face they do not deserve your business nor your respect.

Staunch looking oompa loompa didn't like that we didn't have a mask.

Just think he didn't want to do any work today. Today's truck was one of 5 we were bringing, but hey If you want to be ignorant to the law AND not supply something YOU are requiring people to wear, and be disrespectful to customers that's on you man. Good luck!

Honest mechanical work. I've used them for inspections and repair work for years. Not fancy but good mechanical work and fair prices.

I never gone to this place but my parents do this is where my parents take there vehicle for inspection

I love getting my inspection done here every year. I love how quick the process is. The place has a lot of potential but it does look a bit neglected.

I when to this place which is in Spanish neighborhood and the white old men was very rude and not helpful at all please don’t go to places like this where they don’t respect the clients only because we are not white

Did my inspection. My 3yr old has to wear a mask of stay outside? Ignorant to the law. In Harris County it's 10 and up. Now I have the vaccine to protect myself and my family. Maybe try getting the vaccine then vs forcing children with asthma to put a mask on! The inspection was fast but I would never go again. Also charged one dollar for paying with a debit card vs cash? Why? Shady place.

Excellent service. Great friendly staff. Like a down home family owned and operated business. They made me feel like part of the family. And I was in and out in a flash.

Went there yesterday to get my car inspection. Fast service. Also got a lecture on politics that I neither asked for nor appreciated.

Very helpful and prices weren't bad either.
I went there to get my car serviced and inspected. (6/19/2020) The piece he had to put on was a difficult piece but he got it done and explained to me what he was doing and why it was going to take him some time to get it done. I have always been greeted with a gracious attitude and I will go back there soon to get my brakes done. Thanks for what you do. Kudos.

Went to do an inspection on my motorcycle and was greeted with a very non-professional gentleman. Been going there for the last 3 to 4 years will never return my business there

I Just went to this Location to do my car inspection. I don’t have any issue with my car not light on nothing at all. First they make you pay for the inspection without check if your car have any engine light on or Tint is to dark etc. After I Pay my $25.50 Chasity de la Rosa came and explained it that the inspection it was FAIL because my tint window they were 9% limit 25% How they can’t you notice if your tiny window won’t pass before you waste your money. She scrubbed my money I’m very disappointed about it. Don’t take your car with those guys. People right now take advantage of the Pandemic situation. Horrible experience.

They were not open at 8am per their posted hours so I went to another inspection station and was able to have it completed in 15 mins.
