C Ron Byrd, Austin TX

My husband and I love this office! Both Dr. Byrd and Caroline are great- super knowledgeable and they always take the time to make sure all of our questions are answered. We drive from across town to see them and would highly recommend them!

I've been seeing Dr. Byrd for 4 or 5 years. I can easily say he's the best doctor I've ever had. I've seen him on his cell with other specialists I work with, advocating for improvements/tweaks to my treatment when he doesn't think things are going well enough. He will dig and ask questions on medical issues in the kindest, most professional way until he truly understands the whole picture. When things were not going well for me, he's called me outside of scheduled appointment times to have conversations about an escalated treatment plan, gave me referrals, and listed all the next steps I could possibly take. He listens so deeply, considers my accessibility to treatment options while collaborating with me, and all decisions feel so informed and personalized. I trust him so much. I could come to him with anything and have full confidence he'd help me solve it.

I will say I've had some rough patches while talking to his office staff. I've had resistance during scheduling, when calling to pass along questions or paperwork to the doc, or during insurance conversations.

Gave Dr Byrd two opportunities to attend to my medical needs, both were some of the worst medical experiences I have ever had. They don’t fill your prescriptions, don’t care about their patients, and just care about pushing their “Woke” agenda on you. Avoid this practice at all costs. I have wasted a year, on hoping to get my medical needs attended too. Don’t waste yours, it could mean your life. I saw Dr Byrd the first time and he made all these promises to help me, never happened. Came back and saw his PA and it was 10x worse.

From office staff was extremely rude. They called me last minute and canceled my appointment because now all of a sudden they don’t accept my insurance. I confirmed with them twice over the phone that they do accept my health insurance. And 3 minutes before my appointment they told me that they don’t and I would have to pay out of pocket. I spoke with Erma. She had an attitude and would not give me any more information.

Dr. Byrd is fantastic. He listens patiently, knows his stuff, and is deeply compassionate - everything you'd want in your doctor. In the 3+ years I've been going to him, he has come through every single time - urgent walk-ins, calling in prescriptions, advice on dosage etc. Usually calls back the same day. Probably among the best doctors I've had.

This is one of the best run offices in Austin, from the young woman who answers the phone to Dy Byrd himself.

Dr. Byrd is fantastic. I moved down from Chicago and did not have a primary care doctor. I got sick (non covid) over the Holidays and Dr. Byrd and his team provided great care. I love how fast they are with prescriptions and getting specialists engaged. Tremendous care.

Dr. Byrd honestly cares about his patients. He works hard and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Byrd and staff have consistently worked together to support our overall personal healthcare plans. His experience and knowlege coupled with solid and long-term relationships with other specialty doctors has been a win-win. Thanks Dr. Byrd for always making our family healthcare needs a priority.
