Cafe Del Rio, Lufkin TX

Amazing portions.

Most places give you next to no rice or beans. Del Rio makes sure you have enough for two meals. Anytime I eat here I always have leftovers. They have never disappointed.

Very fast service for a Sunday at 12: 30. Our waitress was in point and saw that our group of 7 had everything we needed and more.

Either they was short handed or new waiters, manager had to get our orders and pick up the card after waiting to pay the bill

Del Rio is where it's at. It's a staple and for good reason. My absolute favorite restaurant.

Our favorite place for Mexican food. Love their fajitas and chimichanga. Always ask for tortillas and add the butter and honey. Endless chips and salsa.

Mediocre mexican food. Cold salsa straight out of a can. The decorations and the overall atmosphere of the place made up for it though

What's not to like here! This is Lufkin's go-to spot for good reason. The food is great and the service excellent. Our server, Ashley, is awesome, like one of the group. And get the fish tacos the next time you go, they're the best anywhere.

Food was excellent and the portions were huge! My only complaint was that it was SO COLD! The air was blowing so hard that the flag/banners were flapping at full force. We were in the back side of the restaurant … better cold than no air, right? !

Stopped by for lunch, had soup and salad. I was surprised on the food portion. Salad had a lot of beef, needs less beans more lettuce in my opinion. But definitely good, service was great and fast for being as busy as they were.

We were seated in the very back corner next to the storage area, not a nice area, nothing to look at except for people awaiting their to go order. We were told "the kitchen kept getting our order wrong. " We didn't end up eating there because after an hour and some change, still awaiting our order, we decided just to have our food to go.

Took FOREVER for the waitress to come over to just acknowledge we were there.
We actually had to request the busboy to get our chips & and drinks - even just water.
It took 20 minutes for our order to be taken because our waitress was " out back. "
Won't be going back there.

Great Tex-Mex. Had a little bit of a wait, as it was Sunday after church and we had a big group. Waitress was friendly. My order was made wrong, but it was quickly corrected. Love eating here! All in all great food, service and atmosphere.

Been here a few times to give it an honest try. Service is awesome. Food is not good. Doesn't taste authentic in any way.

The tacos are huge there salsa is tasty specially the grn sauce. The chips are thin just they way I like them. There shredded chicken is delicious. The rice is very good something you can’t always say at a Mexican food restaurant.

I'm usually not a complainer I just eat the food and move on. But in this case I have to say something. Food was horrible. Red sauce tasted like it was full of ketchup. I seriously hope they don't do that. The nachos with taco meat had so many raw onions in it.it nearly made me sick. Chicken enchiladas literally looked like someone puked on them whatever the sauce was that was on there. Chicken strip that my little one ordered were fried so hard you could use them as baseball bats. Chicken quesadilla was so thin you could nearly see through them. Food was horrible. Not even joking. After we left all our stomachs were hurting.not sure if it was because the food was going bad or it was just so nasty we wanted to puke. Horrid.

Oh what a menu to choose from. It was a tough decision to make but I picked the Taco salad and it was more than I could eat. The food was great. Service was very efficient and friendly. I can't wait to go back there. It's easy to see why the parking lot is always full.

Passing through and saw this wonderfully lit up place off the highway. From the cute Para Los Ninos door to the strong Del Rio Swirl, this place will not disappoint.

Very friendly staff. Adorable decor. Very spacious. Good food. Loved tbe green salsa.and the georgia peach Margo.excellent

Stopped here on my way thru. Great food at great prices! The service was really good too! I’ll definitely stop here again when passing back by!
