7I liveded in Port La Vaca in my High School years. Im very glad to see there is such a wonderful Museum to show people the exciting that of TEXAS. We like to vist every year, we take our exchange students to learn about the history of Calhoun county and surrounded counties!
This was a nice little free museum with neat artifacts inside.some made me feel old like the phone book from the 90's. My 3 boys enjoyed looking at the items inside and enjoyed the scavenger hunt paper they provided.
The gentleman who was working was very kind and animated to our children.
We also enjoyed the a/c
Great amount of local artifacts and a very knowledgeable staff to give you all the extra background.
Duke was Awesome! A plethora of knowledge of the area and very friendly and helpful. I don't think I asked a question he didn't have knowledge on.
Great place to learn about the history of the region. We we offered a tour, excellent!
A Fantastic small county museum. The gentleman that was there was full of info and just a plain great guy! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
