Calloway's Nursery reviews
18It's an okay nursery or a typical one in my opinion.good variety selection of plants, mostly in good condition, but some were dying. Cashier miscalculated my total amount by 200% which I would have paid if I didn't review the receipts.second time i was there, staff/cashier was not too knowledgeable. I still go there to get basic plastic pots and saucers
First time for us. Good selection and almost all their plants looked healthy. Bought some indoor plants today. The staff, especially Mark was very helpful. We hope to visit again soon.
The plants are generally very healthy! It's fun when they get new shipments in and the variety changes up! The staff isn't particularly friendky, but I've never had a bad experience!
Calloway's was phenomenal in helping our chiropractic office create a modern, vibrant feel with their quality plants. Everyone that assisted us was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They over-delivered a great set of quality plants that brighten our space and create a welcoming and enlivening space for our patients. Thank you Calloway's! We'll definitely be back.
Bought 2 huge terracotta pots that they had great sales on. Great place. Ladies and gentlemen were extremely helpful. Can count on us coming back. Thank yall.
Stopped in to buy a Christmas cactus and Tom was very helpful in finding a pot and repotting for me. Thanks for the excellent customer service! Appreciate very much!
You can tell that they love their plants here! Love the variety of flowers, cacti, succulents, orchids, trees. Also, they have a variety of sizes of the same plant so you can choose what's best for you. The staff is friendly and helpful with tips for plant care. Join the garden club for a discount. Will be going back!
Loves this place, everything is well organized and the staff is amazing. First time plant owners, purchased few different plants from here and their still healthy and growing.the staff was extremely helpful the first time we came and were even better this second time—Saul especially went above and beyond to help me and my family—we will definitely be back! Not to mention but this a great place for toddlers to learn and explore—my little one loves this place!
So far I'm not impressed. This was my first visit. They had no lemongrass in stock which was the main plant i wanted. There were pumpkins and a guy dressed like Captain America and another guy tossing rings around pumpkins.and some sort of craft table. But i was there for the plants. Unfortunately pots are out of the question here. Ceramic were $30 and up to $128! Wow. Just wow. Seed packets were about the only thing i could afford that had what i actually wanted. Lemon balm (herb) and hummingbird flower mix. Other than that i just wasn't really wowed by this place.
Plants are always in good shape. Much better than department store plants. Higher cost, but it's worth it. Some things to work on: I would like an employee to offer assistance to my car when I'm buying a lot of things. Getting to my car can be difficult, especially if one of my plants tips over!
For someone like me who does not know about plants/flowers first start some where else a beginners place. The young man seemed nice but not super helpful. Maybe wrong time to come. Not a lot of staff just 2 the other was helping a customer.
Much better stocked with items like blossom end rot spray, and much more knowledgeable than the one I have been going to.
This is a premiere nursery. They feature plants from high quality growers. It may cost more than the big box stores, but the value you receive your money is extraordinary here.
I've asked every spring for four years whether or not their plants have been treated with neonicotinoids. This is the first year that an employee even knew what they are, but still told me they don't know if they use them. They even asked the manager, who also didn't know. I take that as a yes, they do use the insecticides that are killing bee colonies. How a company whose business is plants can be less informed about critical plant information than hardware stores and mass market grocers I don't know.
Always a great experience. Extremely helpful staff; and the selection is outstanding. We've been frequent shoppers and garden club members for years. Also they are great with advice on all things gardening.
Since I've become a plant hoarder, I end up here pretty often- and then forget why I went there in the first place as wander around all the well-kept greenery. It feels like an arboretum, but you can buy the beauty and take some of it home with you.
I went in not sure what I was looking for, and left with 2 beautiful rose bushes. The staff was so nice and helped me to my car with the plants. The plant selection was huge, if I walked the whole place I think it would take me an hour.
Large and varied plant/flower selection. The ornaments and pots are a little on the pricey side but the quality seems worth it. Staff very friendly
