Calloway's Nursery reviews
11Helpful had larger selection of pots than Lowe's, Marshalls Feed, or Home Depot combined. Still didn't have exactly what I was looking for but I found something that would work stylistically. Helpful staff.
They have a good variety of seeds. They had 2 of the plants I was looking for. Their facilities are very clean and organized, they have several employees on the surrounding areas that can help you to find what you are looking for. The employee was courteous.
I used to love this place but the last few times I have been the customer service has been terrible. You can’t find anyone out in the plants/bushes/trees that actually knows anything about them. I went today with a limb from one of my bushes and pictures of the bush. The first guy I asked if he could help identify shrugged his shoulders and said I might could find someone who knows by the cash register. I asked the lady at the cash register who was the nicest person there. She made a few suggestions of what it might be but then said her nursery manager would be back from lunch in about 5 mins. ”if you head on back towards where they are, I’ll send him directly over. ” Well I stood back there for 15 mins and no one ever came. Finally saw a man who I believe was the manager back towards my area doing something else. I stopped him and asked. He wasn’t friendly and acted like I was interrupting something more important. He did tell me the correct bushes though. When I went to leave, the delivery truck had me blocked in. Despite the same man (manager) on his forklift getting stuff from the delivery truck, he never motioned, asked me to wait just a minute or said sorry. After waiting 10 mins with my car running right in front of him I got out and asked the delivery driver if he minded pulling up real quick. He was kind enough to do so but the manager never acknowledged or waved. I won’t be back to this place. Too many others who value your business!
Great place to shop for your garden. Staff is very informative and happy to guide. Quality of plants are exceptional. Will not ship anywhere else
Well stocked nursery with Texas native Hardy plants.
There were exquisite plants a well but I didn't pay attention to them.
Just bought a small Japanese maple tree. Rebecca was really knowledgeable and helpful. Have always bought healthy plants there!
Bigger than the one in Hurst so if you looking for certain plants I'd recommend coming to this 1
Calloway's is great for selection and expertise. In general I think they are a little higher than some other stores but that's most likely because of the reason I just mentioned. I recommend them for anyone who can use some real advice from experts.
Good luck finding prices on plants or someone to help. They've certainly come full circle from a couple of years ago when they couldn't wait to help you!
They always have great sales, and the employees are very friendly and helpful! HUGE selection of anything you could think of, from herbs and edible gardens, to trees and flowers. They also send an email once a week of specials if you sign up for their gardener's club!
Nil acknowledgement from the staff.they looked at me and walked past me. I had questions but they couldn't be bothered.
