I like this place a lot in fact it is where I do most of my interviews for my podcast, mainly because of the art everywhere and the internet connection. Plus the tamales are authentic and the sweet bread fresh and delicious.

Really cute spot on the corner. I love getting an iced horchata latte during the summer and warm drinks in the fall I’m really stoked about coming here more often once it starts to chill a little bit. It’s a good study spot as well.

I like this place enough, but it could be better if the music was lowered down a bit in volume. There are only two restrooms, it would be better if there were more, or if they were labeled as gender inclusive; people forget they can use either even if its gender label doesn’t apply to them in an emergency or whenever! The menu selection is very limited. There are maybe two beverages that are dairy free; they premix the beverages so there’s no option to change the milk type; it would be better if they didn’t premix or if they also premixed beverages without dairy or other milk choices. This place could also be improved if they shared the wifi passwords correctly or had signs telling you what passwords match with what router; or they could easily print it on the receipt. Parking is a hassle, but that is out of their control.

Great ambience to get work/homework done. It's like a house with many nooks to just sit down and enjoy a good time. I love ordering their iced horchata latte. So good!

This is a great place to have some coffee and to study. The staff are super friendly. It's a quiet environment with fast internet and lots of electrical outlets. The horchata latte is amazing!

The environment is so sweet and cozy. ALL of the staff are welcoming.

Let's just say I travel from the Energy Corridor to Waugh Dr.to experience all that the Campesino Coffee House has to offer.

The house itself has so much character. The vibrant and warm colors. Such a Gem.

On Sunday when Houstons humidity has fully settled upon the city and the place has a large crowd. I am still able to fall asleep with my book in hand and coffee on the table in the midst of it all.

I mean, I still keep a tight grip on my purse because you just never know.

Did I mention that the expresso ALWAYS have my taste buds dancing? It's the love affair for me.

I’ve came here a few times and it’s very tasty. There’s this very sweet employee that wears a white hat, makes drinks perfectly! I received Great customer service as well!

Pros: the drinks are really well made, there are unique options not found in most other coffee/tea places. Very quaint atmosphere, and tables and chairs are spread out so you don't feel crammed.

Cons: very limited parking, somewhat loud music, and food taste good, but is pricey for what you get.

Yes to the yes to the yes! I've been coming here for at least 5 years. I was so excited when I heard there was a coffee shop in Montrose that offered some authentic Mexican and Central American flavors. I am a chronic studier and I hate locking myself up at home so I visit a lot of coffee shops. Campesino is definitely in my top 3 favorites.

Pros:
-Cafe de Olla: omg, the best thing on the menu. If you are Mexican or have ever been to Mexico, you need to experience how good and authentic this drink is. Reminds me of my Tía Chica's homemade coffee from the bean.
-Horchata Latte: again, amazing. A little sweet sometimes but really amazing flavors. It's closer to the Mexican Horchata for anyone wondering.
-Ambiance: great. Lots of happy looking people. Staff are super friendly. Outside is also great on a less hot day.

Cons:
-There is lots of seating but it can get busy at times. Not all of the seating is the most comfortable but not a problem during work hours, on weekdays, or on cooler days as people sit outside too.
-The savory dishes are not that great tbh. Have tried the meat tamales twice (pork I think) and they honestly were disappointing both times. The sweet bread (pan dulce) is definitely worth it though!

Tried the Mexican Mocha as I was really looking forward to this drink with oatmilk! I honestly would not recommend it. First of all, it's not sweet. Second yes it's supposed to be spicy but they also add not only cayenne pepper but PAPRIKA powder. Now I've had mexican mocha or hot chocolate before and never have I had it with paprika powder. It totally destroys the taste versus complimenting it. I would prefer to keep my paprika in foods and not in a coffee if you know what I mean. I did ask to have my drink sweetened a bit more since it really didn't taste sweet at all. One of the baristas just gave me a confused look or made it seem like I was asking for too much. All in all this was my first time experience here. Not sure if I'd be back to try something else?

Los Campesinos are one of the best Indie bands out there and the coffee shop spin-off is no exception. Whereas the band version focuses on making noise, the coffee shop forbids making noise of any sort. After you adjust to ordering in either ASL or a slightly offensive pantomime of ASL, you will come to find the peace and quiet very comforting. However, I did sneeze here once and I don't think I'm allowed to return.

Perfect place for a coffee break walking around montrose. The horchata latte is so good and barista with the colored hair is the best!

Its a lovely place to visit, especially a place to study and to grab a coffee and relax. The 2 employees, Nat and Estebana, are exceptional and amazing. If you haven't been there, I would recommend going there!

Great coffee spot that specializes in coffee from Mexico and south. Had a cold brew and caught up with friends. Music was a good volume, seating was comfy and plentiful, staff were friendly, speedy, and helpful. Cute interior, too.

Not enough comfortable places to sit when it's busy.several couches were occupied by a single individual to each. The silver backless bar stools are horribly uncomfortable if you happen to be in double digit pant size.

Love their signature drinks. My personal favorite is the Horchata Iced Latte. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor space. It’s one of my go to places to study.

I come to this coffee shop not only for their Horchata lattes, but to get some work done. Great place to do work as it's quiet, has a variety of seating options in door and outdoor and again, great Horchata lattes. I tried their pineapple empanada which delicious. It tasted like a pineapple upside down cake. The asthetic is a older/vintage. Dog friendly.

Love this little coffee house! Vibes are immaculate and it's really easy for me to get creative in this kind of atmosphere. The cafe con leche was a standout for me; while I'm not a huge coffee enthusiast I really enjoyed the flavor profile and can see it becoming a future fave when I'm not in the mood for a flat white. Tangibles: volume was low, WiFi was fast, and seating was available when I was here on a Friday morning.

I'll definitely be back here, hope to see y'all too <3

This place is great. Came here for a Saturday afternoon. The two baristas were phenomenal. I went with the Cafe con Leche and the baristas made some recommendations on adding some other things to it and it came it out amazing. Such a nice experience. Definitely worth the drive.
