Canyon Lake Boat Ramp 18

If I could post less than 1 star I would. The attitude at the gate when you come in was something less than pleasant. All he could do was give the worst attitude coming in and tell us to be out by 6, then it was the gate closes at 730 no exceptions. Ok but he kept pointing and saying be out by 6. And apparently kayaks can’t use the boat ramp but told us to use an area that had more rocks then the Grand Canyon.
Will never pay to come back again, will never recommend…EVER!

Great spot to dock and picnic areas for when you take a break. It cost $20 a vehicle to get in but you are not allowed to come back in once you leave.

We have visited Canyon Lake Boat Ramp 18 three times now. I love that we can ride our SeaDoo there but walking on rocks to get to the water is Wretched. I feel like I’m going to twist my ankle at any point trying to carry our belongings up & down. Make sure you wear water shoes for the water because I’ve cut my foot at least 2-3 times now just trying to carefully wade through the water carefully. Unsure exactly why they need all those rocks there but It would be amazing if they could make it easier to walk to the water.
Also, make sure you pack up between 6: 30-6: 45 pm because the old man at the front booth that checks you in will start harassing you to start packing up & the dock is ridiculously busy. You wait in line at least 30 mins there. Overall the water is clean enough at Boat Ramp 18 to keep us coming back. The area before there is nasty, it smells horrible & the ground is super mushy. I hope this information helps.

A lot more room and space compared to the other ones and the wake zone isn’t as far out. 3 ramps in one area compared to two

Either come really early or after lunch because they do guard and will make you turn around.

The officers were helpful and the park officials were very nice and straight to the point.

Bring your canopy, cart, cooler on wheels, fan, and trash bags also lifejackets if needed. Recommend water shoes, wheel chocks if no e-brake on vehicle,

Nice boat ramp. Game wardens and police were near so felt good about leaving my truck and trailer at the ramp.

20$ to launch…and $20 for re-entry. Guy in the shack is a piece of work…. Blew a tire right in front of the gate…dropped my boat and had to go buy a four way…came back and had to pay the re-entry fee, absolute crock if you ask me…as if we don’t pay enough in taxes, just grinds my gears…guy wouldn’t even turn his tv down enough to hear me.

Great park to launch your boat and have fun with family and friends. BEWARE, out of this same ramp come most of your Texas Game Wardens into the lake and they don’t play games so be sure to have everything straight, there’s no room for littering, unsafe practices, etc. If you can’t follow simple instructions or are too scared to interact with law enforcement simply stay away from this park. As for me, I’m 100% legit and all my boat papers are up to date

Do I have to say the male Constable that was there was a very nice guy. However I see that they write a lot of tickets here. It really is more about Revenue generation for them than about protecting and serving and that I found sad. I'm sure if someone was to investigate how many tickets they write during the weekend it would be kind of high. Just for the record I did not receive any ticket or citations I'm just observant of what they were doing.

Great Boat ramp launch with nice dock. Covered picnic area with nice Barbecue pit and We were able to anchor our Jet skis right by our Picnic area. Very clean too.

Great Location from our Campsite and Resort. We rented 2 Jet Skies at a Great Rate. Beautiful Lake! Clean Clear Waters!

A fun place to visit with family and friends. I had a great Memorial Weekend staying overnight on our boat. It’s so worth it.
