Canyon Oaks Apartments, San Antonio TX

They charged me a months rent for not moving out on time when I had turned in my keys 2 days early. They left me without AC for 2 weeks during the summer, failing to make acomidations for the heat. Absolutely appauling place to live. I cannot tell you enough how bad they are. The Trash Compactor is always broken, the area smells awful.and you can get a better apartment right next door for a better price.

TLDR, this apartment complex isn't worth the money.
The trash compactor is constantly broken (full trash bags are just scattered around the ground next to the compactor), the pool is usually closed for maintenance and is extremely small and dirty, the fitness center has out of date and laughable equipment, the apartment itself, that's even worse. My balcony (wood) is rotting out from underneath me (the gutters are full which floods over the edge and directly onto the balcony railing), the front door and bedroom door have about a half inch gap where you can see the outdoors from inside, the floor is uneven, the downstairs neighbors flood whenever I do laundry (the drainpipe is probably clogged somewhere down the line), squirrels live inside the ceilings, the power outlets are all daisy chained together which is a fire hazard, and the whole apartment just gets the "landlord special" where everything just gets a coat of white paint and is ready for the next tenant. If you are planning on moving here, prepare when you move in to be dealing with maintenance for a while because these apartments have been in disrepair for a long time.

Drove all the way here for my 1030 tour of the apartments. There's a sign on the door saying " CLOSED will be back @ 10: 50". The time is currently 10: 23. Im early for my appointment and no one is here. Very disappointing. The complex looks pretty but I guess they forgot about my appointment. I have another tour scheduled after this one somewhere else so I can't sit and wait for 25 minutes.

For nearly $1,000 in rent you can get a 1 Bed/1 Bath with BLACK mold, one small pool and a gym with equipment from the 90s that really serves as an Amazon hub now. Apt 508 has a HOLE in the ceiling that they keep just painting over instead of fixing, que the $187 CPS electric bill every month. I fought that battle for 2 years and the apt complex never fixed the hole with SO many records of maintenance requests. The complex tried to charge me (more than my $2000 deposit) for fees. So new person at 508, if you ever have an issue I am with you for a lawsuit.
