Canyon Springs Golf Club, San Antonio TX

Played this track 30 June - amazing greens! Best in town. But the best was the outside services folks. I think his name was Bill - above and beyond - older gentleman - great guy, shared some tips, took great care of my group!

Three of my golf buddies and I made our way to San Antonio for a weekend of golf. We played the Quarry, La Cantera, and our last round was at Canyon Springs. We loved all three. Canyon Springs may have been our favorite. Awesome elevation drops, lots of challenging holes, and great greens. The practice area is awesome. Cool clubhouse as well with good drinks. The only thing I would say negative is about the starter. He was not the nicest of guys. Other than that we loved the challenge! This course is one that playing it multiple times would really help your scores. Knowing where to lay up on doglegs, etc is going to affect your scores. Get in the wrong spot and you may pay for it! But, that's why we play courses like this. Cheer up your starter and we'll be back!

What an amazing place Canyon Springs is. A true Golf Gem in San Antonio. Great staff, fun and challenging course, awesome experience. Even though we played the day after sanding and punched greens, this was an awesome experience.

I recently had the pleasure of playing at Canyon Springs Golf Course and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an exceptional staff who made me feel right at home. The customer service was top-notch and truly added to the overall enjoyment of my round.

The course layout was simply stunning. The natural beauty of the area was perfectly integrated into the design of the course, creating a truly unique golfing experience. The fairways were challenging but fair, and the greens were in impeccable condition. I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail put into maintaining the course, it truly showed in the quality of the playing surface.

As a golfer who values a challenging course, I was not disappointed by the difficulty of the layout. The variety of hole designs kept me engaged throughout the entire round, and the strategic use of bunkers and water hazards added a level of difficulty that I thoroughly enjoyed.

But what really stood out to me was the incredible staff. Everyone I interacted with, from the pro shop to the on-course attendants, was friendly, professional, and truly passionate about making my experience as enjoyable as possible. Their knowledge of the course, coupled with their genuine enthusiasm for the game, made for a truly memorable round of golf.

In short, if you're looking for a golf course that offers a challenging yet fair layout, impeccable conditions, and an outstanding staff, then look no further than Canyon Springs Golf Course. I cannot recommend this course highly enough and can't wait to play another round there soon

Canyon Springs was top notch. Very welcoming clubhouse. First time there, the gentleman in the clubhouse showed us the way. Checked in with us after the round to see if we enjoyed. Starter very nice as well. Conditions were the best of the three courses we played during our stay. Greens quick.

Such a fun track some challenging holes and definitely some scoring opportunities for all range of golfers.

I play golf all over the country and this course is one of the best laid out courses you can play. The Longhorns there are cool too. Highly recommend if you're in the area. 100/10. Will be back.

Attention handicap golfers. Don’t play this course. I’m a 75 year old disabled veteran and have been playing this course since the day it opened. Today I asked if my cart could be placed in handicap mode and was told no they can’t do that. On Every par 4 and par 5 the cart would shut off over a 100 yards from the green. I have severe respiratory issues, and today was a real struggle. I have no desire to drive on the greens, but 100 yards out is terrible for handicap players. You don’t know this until you are on the course and they have your money. I was forced to pay an additional $25 for my wife to ride with me and help me with clubs. They have never charged that before and when I told the pro shop other courses don’t do that, I was told I had choices on where to play and I didn’t have to play on their course. My last time there

My friend and I played Canyon Springs yesterday and for the time of year this course looks great! It’s challenging so beware but it’s a lot of fun. Greens are fast! The management from clubhouse to Starter and Marshall are all extremely friendly and welcoming. Nice driving range area with a practice putting green next to it. Beverage cart comes around for refreshments and at the turn the mini clubhouse has hotdogs, beer, sodas and more with friendly faces serving you. It’s everything 5 star golf should be and more. One of San Antonio’s finest and cannot wait to return!

What a gem of a course. I have been to pretty much every public course around Central TX and Canyon Springs was sky high for its layout and conditions. Fun holes, fast greens. The staff was a well oiled machine. You definitely feel like you are getting a premium experience here.

Asides from the course itself, I'll give a specific shout out to the other part of making a great golf experience - the servers! Jordan in the beverage cart and Bailey at food and drink bar at the turn were friendly, personable, and and just so pleasant - even on a too cold day. It's always nice when staff models professionalism and brings a smile to your face with some banter. These gals should be made managers ASAP!

The RRHS XC team celebrated its annual banquet here again in 2022! As always, Canyon Springs makes every effort to work to accommodate our school and this team with generous/easy contractual terms, a school appropriate budget and space that makes the event elegant and easy. This team is professional and responsive. Brenda and Caitlin were fabulous to work with! We can’t thank you enough and are grateful for the memories made in your event space!

Nice course at a great price. Greens rolled true and you need to keep the ball straight. No room for mis-hits. First time here. Beautiful course in Hill Country. I'll be back again. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We were planning the wedding from out of state and she was always fast with communication and flexible with meeting schedules. The venue was incredible, and definitely a hidden gem. I visited 13 wedding venues in central Texas area, and this was by far the most affordable venue with catering packages included. Keep in mind that this venue restricts all food, snacks, drinks to their in house catering service only. But the food and drinks were spectacular! We had family from out of state comment on how yummy everything was! We also were given a complementary round of golf with our wedding package which my parents loved! The waterfall backdrop is extremely beautiful and they're venue offers microphone/Sound system so everyone can hear the ceremony. Plenty of shade during the hot summer months and wedding guests loved getting to be chauffeured by golf carts to the ceremony site. Cannot recommend this venue enough!

Caitlin and her banquet staff were amazing for our annual holiday party for our younger soccer players. Every need was met in a timely and efficient manner. We will definitely be back!

Reagan cross country has hosted our cross country banquet at Canyon Spring the past 2 years. They do such an amazing job. The food is great and the service is amazing. They met all of our needs, helped us create wonderful memories for the athletes, coaches and families. We will be back next year!
