I am enjoying my new apartment here at the Capitol at Stonebriar. It is has a good size and I love the high ceilings!
The gym is good and am looking forward to experience the pool when it gets a bit warmer.

Jason, Stephanie, and Detrina took the time to make my experience so much better. Thank you!

P. S. It was a rough time, after the storm and all.

The amenities are great, staff is excellent. The gate to the townhouses hasn’t worked in a year is my reason for 4 stars in leu of 5.

Can't even pick up the phone, I'm lucky if I get one call answered out of 20. Let's see if this review gets my call answered.

Since there is no respond to my emails/ call/ message/ maintenance request, I guess the only way I can get to the board of directors/ owners’ attention to post my reviews to get things fixed. I’m not intend to hurt any business nor unable to accept any mistake. But this is unbelievable situation and management skill and no intend to fix any mistake they they caused.

If there is a minus rating it would be for the management team here. They are extremely unprofessional irresponsible and have no management skill. I don't understand why there are no improvements at all base on all the reviews/ Recommendation to improve this place to a better place.

They sent me the offer to renew the lease since mid Dec, I decided to sign for another year since it was such a hard 2020 to make any move due to job and personal reasons. They had sent a wrong contract immediately and asked me to sign, I had reach out to them at least 5,6 emails almost every week to correct it before the due time to sign for another year is 60 days prior and until now there is no respond from them yet? Last year, the issue happened the same and they charged me $250/ months for 3 months straight plus wrong charge for extra private parking $75/ month for the same amount. I Called and emailed every week until and got super frustrated for months before it fixed and they refunded me the over charge. Same thing about to happen over again I'm feeling like.

If you consider moving in here, please make sure to double check for all doors from the garage, lost of them either have the lock broken that everyone who are not the residents still can get into the building or they slamming close. The door right next to my bed room was slammed close that I felt like there was earthquake, thanks goodness they fixed it but those next to that and those upstairs and downstairs still bother me so much. I hope my review here will catch their attention and if they care, they will try to fix them.

Last but not least, my maintenance request sent out over a week ago without any help/ respond/ care. My daughter has been living in my room and living room because of no light in her room
for over a week. It finally touch my limit, I called them again and the answer was I don't know when your turn to get fixed will because of abcd. I asked to talk to manager, answer was they were not here? !? !

I'll see when my contact will be fixed and sent, I'll wait to see when the slamming doors would be fixed, I'll also wait to see when the light in my daughter room can be in turn to get fixed.

They don't answer and keep you on hold for hours on call. Lack off response for maintenance and very Rude when you try to ask for clarification, some staff lack of knowledge, when you try ask for clarification. I transferred my lease to someone, they keep on hunting and report if other person doesn't pay they report on my credit report, It is not fair, I stayed in so many apartments never had this issue.

Checked this place out about 2 years ago when I was apartment hunting and it really stood out, nice place, quiet environment, good location, but ended up moving somewhere else. I come back and visit today because they were my dream apartments, and right off the bat it looked like it had taken a beating. Thought to myself, okay, well maybe it’s not so bad, pull into a parking spot, and I hear a group of residents immediately chalkin’ talk at me from their balcony. Thought nothing really of it, get out, walk into the main office, completely different feeling from my first visit and realize that hey, I don’t wanna live here, this place lost all its luster, and on top of that the residents were an immediate turn off. It’s a shame too because I was really looking forward to living here, unfortunately I guess the residents really make that much of an impact in that amount of time.

This community offers easy access to all shopping and restaurants. Highways are very accessible. Property manager onsite is very helpful and friendly. Maintenance requests were filled same day or next day which was wonderful when needed. Pet friendly community and monthly events very nice and a great way to meet all your neighbors. Thank you Jason for all your help you are so helpful all the time, and you always give such great customer service.

This place looks nice outside and inside but the management is trash and the staff are clueless. Our unit looks like it’s falling apart, the kitchen sink fell on its own and they came and put clear glue and a car jack under it——can’t make this up. The walls have cracks in them due to “foundation” issues so they just came and paint over it and guess what it’s back. We were told that our unit was a new one but checked in and rust was already there. The balcony is beautiful especially if there’s a fresh breeze outside and you open the door but guess what, bugs will come in. You pay for pest control every month but for them to come to your unit you have to answer a million and one question as to why they need to come. Oh by they way that’s if they come or someone downstairs remembers to write your name on the list. You can’t bleach your bath tub (the paint and resin that they use comes off so easily) so forget about soaking in it. The main elevator smells like wet dogs always. Upper management don’t contact you unless you post a review then they are very concerned but not before the numerous phone calls and emails sent to them. I can go on and on about why I made the worst decision moving here. I am just counting down the months left hopefully I won’t be pulling out my hair before I pack out.

I withdrew my app.
It started when I went to apply.
Victoria was my leasing agent, I needed her help but she told me that her manager sent her to run errands. I should have known not to apply, but I was attracted by the low price. It took them a month to tell me I was approved, within that month, I had to call at least 15 to 20 times, 2-3 times a week on different hours of the day to get one of my calls answered. They simply don't answer! On some days, I had to go there in person to check on my app. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor! Victoria finally called and said that I was approved, on that same call she said she will send me the lease to sign, but she never did. They can keep 235 dollars I paid for the app, I'm going to lease at the origin, where I will pay 200 dollars more on rent but I don't mind it, because I am treated like a customer. If you want to get a stroke or a heartattack, rent at capitol! I see now why they lowered their price.

I absolutely loved this community. I am on the first floor with 14 feet ceilings and have a pretty good sized patio area on the Zen Garden. The pool feels like a resort and the gym and community rooms are top notch. The only complaint I have has nothing to do with management but the residents than don't pick up after their pooches.please people, we all share the common areas and don't like to have to walk around poop or smell urine in the elevators.

Where do I even begin.this is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. It's so nice from the outside and my leasing agent Robin was amazing. But after that no one cares about you. I barely see Robin but the other staff I talk to are mostly rude and unhelpful. Starting with move-in day my apartment wasnt even ready until late that night so I had no time to move although I had taken off work for that.

First maintenance request I put in was a few days after move-in because my shower wasnt staying hot. They came out twice to fix it but never figured out the problem so I've just had to deal with it.

Then my upstairs neighbors were being loud every day to the point where I couldn't sleep. At all hours including 10-11pm and as early as 8am they sounded like they were moving furniture or something all the time. I called the office to just ask them to let them know they were being loud. I didnt want a formal complaint, just a heads up that they have neighbors under them. The manager on the phone said I should call a courtesy officer instead but that he would give them a noise violation. I shouldnt have to call an officer, the apartment should handle this issue! But still to this day, despite emails and calls to the office, my upstairs neighbors are loud every day. As soon as they get home until before they go to bed.

On top of that I've been having AC issues and it has been extremely hot in my apartment the past 5 days. I put in a service request the first day and didnt have someone come out until the next day. While I was at work I guess they came in and fixed it but never let me know. Fine I guess but the very next day it was not working again. So I put in another online request and then called the office to ask if they could let me know when they get it fixed because I have pets and I would be at work and wanted to be sure they were okay. The lady on the phone said I should call the emergency maintenance next time since they are only on call on the weekends. But she would call this time. I get home that night and it's still not fixed and I received no call. So the next day I call the emergency line and they respond and say they can fix it in a few hours. I ask them to just call and let me know when it's been fixed and they say okay. I come home later and the AC is working but no one called or let me know they came in at all!

That's only a few problems I've had. The list goes on, from the gate being broken for months and the main elevator being down for weeks to the office holding my packages that have perishable items and then lying to me telling me they have a policy against accepting those packages. I've emailed them regarding everything I've said in this review and have yet to be contacted so maybe this review will help. Probably not though.

UPDATE: after complaining to them enough they finally agreed to compensate me for the AC issue and fixed it.

Terrible staff. Management should be ashamed of the people they hire. I was wrongly and rudely berated by one of the employees due to a noise complaint that my TV has been too loud. Then the following night they blast a community movie until 10: 30pm on a week night. The hypocrisy is baffling. Can’t wait until my house is finished being built so I can get out of here.

The apartments are really nice and the amenities are great. There has been many issues with the locks throughout the property and I am hoping that this is resolved quicker in the future. Parking is pretty bad if you get home too late in the evening (like after 8). The he staff is very friendly. Maintenanve team is awesome and quick to resolve issues! Pricing is reasonable for the area.

Definitely the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in, especially after the interaction I just had with the office over the many issues I've had since I moved in. Starting from the beginning, I happened to tour the apartments a week or so before the management was switched, after viewing several apartment complexes, this community and specifically the management seemed genuinely nice people. After touring several communities in the area, I settled on this one because of a few factors like open floor plan and gigabit fiber internet, etc. Little did I know that the management was in transition, when I contacted the community via email with some basic questions, I got zero response for weeks.

When I came in to talk about signing the lease, I was given higher rent rates and less of a bonus offer, I had this in writing but she claimed that it had been too long (I was trying to contact them but they had not responded.) She said they were cheaper than the previous management company, but this wasn't true. I also later discovered that they had a better bonus offer than what was given to me. This should have been enough of a red flag but this particular apartment checked off all the boxes that I was looking for, and in hindsight I believe I made the wrong choice, especially since it is the most expensive apartment that I looked at.

Ok, so I made my choice, and I had confidence that the management company would figure everything out and get things operating smoothly again by the time I moved in. I was so wrong about this, here comes moving day, more than a month later and it seems like nothing was on-boarded properly. I didn't have a mailbox key for weeks, they didn't put me into the package system (took over a week to find a package that went missing, nobody thought to look under the previous tenant's name). They have this virtual doorbell system called ButterflyMX, as of today (8 months later), I have yet to be put into this system despite sending multiple emails requesting it.

The apartment had been lived in before, and the previous tenant was definitely a smoker with kids. I could smell the smoke in the master bedroom/closet area, and the other room had stiff carpet (suggesting spills had occurred there and they didn't clean it well). The bathtub had scratches all over the bottom, probably from toys, and other small issues like the blinds being broken, etc. Months go by and the external doors were still not functioning and the closest elevator goes out for 2 months, this is a particular concern because I chose the apartment location due to it's proximity to the elevator.

The appliances are cheap and don't work well (mostly makes odd noises/louder than most that I've had before), but specifically the dryer wasn't working (still not working after requesting it be fixed multiple times), refrigerator doors and ice dispenser issues, the kitchen sink doesn't drain well (the maintenance told me that this was due to the small/cheap garbage disposal but they didn't fix it), flickering lights in the closets (they said it was fine, but it continued), shower door doesn't stay closed due to magnet falling out, ceiling fans wobble and make noise (only 2/3) which have a single incandescent bulb that doesn't produce enough light for the rooms (especially in the office where I need it, replacing these with smart LEDs had helped but still not sufficient.)

Fast forward to today, I had long given up and planned on moving out at the end of my lease term, but this week I discovered a leak during the most recent storm, my living room had a pool of water. I informed the office and reminded them of the numerous issues I was still having, she seemed unconcerned and didn't even put it into the system until I came back two days later to ask why no one came out or given a status. Her attitude was very poor, and in general, I know many of my neighbors feel the same way about the community as I do (we get to talk during the fire alarms).

If this is supposed to be a luxury community, it doesn't feel like one.

Do you want a place with cracks all over your walls because of a serious foundation problem? How about looking at trashbags in your hallway from those neighbors that never care to follow the guidelines? Better yet, do you want to step in 9 inches of water (literally) when it rains to get to your vehicle because whoever designed the parking lot never thought about drainage? Do you want to live on one side of the complex just to find out there's no parking spots left on your side?

I've got the perfect place for you. Call now. Let's book your overpriced lease today and we will definitely act like these problems do not exist.
