Do not do business here, we paid a deposit ahead of time, and just asked the people if we could get pictures of the floats they were renting us as we had a previous bad experience elsewhere. The lady was extremely rude and avoiding sending us pictures at all costs. The day of our trip with people already headed there and money spent they canceled our deposit, this Is bad business and I personally will never do business with this place. I recommend you seek other camps in the area that are more professional and courteous to its customers.

Restrooms (porta-potty) are so dirty, they don't clean them, the showers are even worse, This place needs a total upgrade, for what my husband and I paid for I expected this place to at least have a restroom not a porta-potty, the workers are very nice and friendly.

Am trying to decide where to stay on the river this summer and reading through these reviews, its actually the owners incredibly immature and combative replies that made my decision never to come here. And I love goats! Just read through the responses to the negative reviews and see if you want to give this person any of your money.

Stayed here over father's day weekend. It's a nice shady area on the river with helpful staff. Restrooms stayed pretty clean even with having quite a few people staying there. Just the site and services I have 0 complaints. Had some vehicle issues as we were leaving and the owner and staff were nothing but helpful and understanding. Never felt rushed to get out. I would come back here without question. Good people and a good place to stay.

We rented the captain's quarters cabin for the weekend, and had a blast! Absolutely loved the greenery surrounding the cabin. The cabin itself was clean, and cooled down fairly quickly with the two ac units. I recommend bringing a small fan to help circulate the cooled air out to the main room, as the ac units are only in the bedrooms. We chose not to float due to covid concerns, but the river is a short walk from the cabin and had plenty of gorgeous spots for us to just sit in the water and hangout. We had a great time, and plan to book again next year. The amount of negative reviews concerned me at first, but it seems if you just follow the rules and respect the property, you'll be just fine.

I have camped at least 4 times at this place and I love it. The owners Brooke and Allan are very friendly and polite, they make you feel right at home. I love this place because not only do we camp they also provided the tubes and transportation. You pick how many hours you want to float and they will drop you right off to the spot and you will just float until you reach Billy Goat’s Gruff. The staff and owner will help you out of the water and grab your float. The younger staff that comes to open up and drive you are very friendly and more than helpful. Then after you float you can take a hot shower in one of two showers. There’s one physical restroom (with a toilet and sink) and two port a potties which have been pretty clean filled with tissue and sanitizer. The physical restroom ran out of toilet paper but there was almost 80 or so of us there (very understandable). Me and my family range from ages 1yr- to 39 and we ALL had fun even the other campers where friendly. We will be visiting again!

The staff is rude. The cabins are over priced. There was rat droppings all over the beds. Will never come back to the place for the way the treat people!

We stayed in their shed. Not cabin, these are not cabins.you get 5 beds 2 bunk bed style beds and 1 in between.no head space whatsoever in the upper beds.the shed is probably a 2-3k dollar shed at this point. The smell in the room was powerful of must and like a stale air smell you couldn't get rid of.no insulation in walls or roof everything could be heard when the window unit finally reached temperature at close to 3am. We couldn't use their shuttle, (not because of them but because covid) so we aired our personal tubes up and stacked them in the truck. As i was roping them the owner comes up all irate saying this wasn't safe and he was gonna take a picture to send to Greg Abbot lol.when you read this guy we made it all the way to L&L without a single issue. We have stayed at koozies multiple times, by far the best on river road. We have stayed at mountain breeze, and L&L in the past as well as a house on river road all have been great to us. We do not know effects that covid 19 has had Billy Goat has taken but we can all be mature and understanding and realize it has effected them to some degree. However that is not controlled by customers and therefore should not be relevant with how you deal with customers. The buy the tube bring the tube back sale is a hoax to get around the government shutting them down.the lady specially told us that's how they are getting around the government and you are not allowed to use your personal tube to float from their dock even if you are a paying customer.they want you to buy their float for $25 a day and when you bring it back they'll buy it back for $5 bucks. If you have a licensed and registered service dog they don't care it is not allowed. My personal advice when looking for spot I would pay anyone else, see my money going to respectable people before i ever step foot back on Billys property.you could not give me a free weekend to stay back at the outdated shacks and deal with them people. And if you wanted to know, we are frequent floaters. 3-5 times a year we will be back in first part of August and on labor day weekend as long as the government doesn't shut down. LOOK ELSEWHERE SO YOU DON"T REGRET IT.

Had a wonderful memorial weekend with family and friends! The owners were extremely accommodating to our group from the minute we drove in, and all the staff were very friendly. (Eddie was awesome!) We camped on the river front site and the view was absolutely beautiful. Some other reviews must have came from haters, or people that dont think rules apply to them. We communicated with the staff and they were very flexible. Great spot for camping, come check it out!
