Carleton House Bed and Breakfast, Bonham TX

Everything was great and every need was anticipated! Top level breakfast served on your schedule. The hosts are musicians and may share a tune if you are lucky. Room was clean and decor was appropriate for a 120+ year old house.

Everything I expected and more. I love the Victorian Era and I stayed in the Mission house. From the kitchen, bedroom and large bathroom with a claw bathtub was the best ever.
The host Karen and Steve were so kind and accommodating. Love the breakfast everyday and their music ability. They have become long life friends. Will come again and encourage anybody to come and stay.

We wanted to take a quick weekend trip someplace close to home to unwind and recharge. A quick search of area B&B's found this place. We love old homes and the hosts offered bonus options of a massage and candlelight dinner so that solidified our decision.
The rooms are named for the original family members and Steve & Karen went to a lot of effort to restore the home and even purchase items from the daughter's estate sales. We love learning about how life used to be.
While we had dinner, Steve brought out his fiddle and Karen her washboard and we were treated to a variety of wonderful tunes.
The dinner and breakfasts were delicious! Karen took the time to learn our tastes and preferences, and Steve cooked our steaks to perfection.
The room was clean and the bathroom included a nice jacuzzi tub with all needed amenities. If you are so inclined, there is a TV with wifi access for streaming, as well as a VCR and DVD player.
The yard is full of beautiful flowers as well as a gazebo and back deck for their wedding venue. There was amazing shade and lovely view out our window.

I found my go to Bonham place! If you love taking a walk through history and see beauty in the story behind things, this is the place for you too! I think the best part of the whole experience is meeting Karen and Steve. You could tell they really have a passion for what they do and have a lot of fun with it. They are extremely welcoming and the kind of people you could chat the night away with over good food and music. Thank you for the wonderful memories. I will develop back!

My husband's car broke down in a nearby town and no repair shops open on Sunday. My children and I drove and it was late and we booked a room. Since we had children, we stayed in one of their houses. It was so cozy and My kids loved it. Owners were extremely accommodating and so nice. They even helped us in trying to find an auto repair shop that would be open. We will be returning there again and again. They should actually be getting 10 star rating.

The overall service was great. The Candlelight dinner was delicious and we were serenaded by our hosts. The breakfast was scrumptious also. Loved the whole experience!
