I had so many issues with CarMax when I was told my BMW I3 was at their location since it was shipped from California. I arrived and the car having no gas or electric charge on it so they had me sign and everything super quick to do that right. But when I test drove the car no charge and 14 miles of gasoline when I brought up the issue isn’t it suppose to come with gas and a full charge they said yes and they were going to charge it and put gas but then they said they don’t carry premium petrol for the bmw and I could just go put gas around the corner and about the car not being charged I asked why isn’t it charged before you sell this to me we can charge it for you they said and I told them it isn’t a quick charge unless they have a DC charger, they said we have your charger we can plug it in here and told them now i have to wait 14 plus hours and that defeats the sole purpose that’s just the beginning of the issues. Main one was sending out personal info from my co-signer and I to the address I told them to not send it too cause they steal his mail all the time cause he’s at work all day Mon-Sat like I told them not to cause they said they could send it to the CarMax where he lives to sign on the spot and send it back they called me to say they sent it to his address and there it happens the paper work with all of our info social and addresses and where we work were taken from his porch now we have to worry about possible fraud hitting our accounts once something pops up that isn’t normal on our accounts we’re looking to sue for negligence now that I filed a complaint to their manager and told him the same ordeal even he was shocked that it didn’t get sent to my Co-signers CarMax location and apologized for inconvenience like I told him if something happens to our information that effects us I’m going to come back as the same unhappy customer when i left the first time. This was suppose to be smooth sailing from the beginning I thought. So Would I get another car from CarMax, just not at this location everything was handled improperly and do it yourself and release personal info to the public did I mention this was last month by the way

Great customer service. Joe was very professional and courteous. He promptly answered all my questions and the while process was very quick and efficient. I strongly recommend Carmax!

On Sat. 3rd (of the July 4th wknd), I sold my old SUV to Carmax, & bought an updated SUV. I got a great price for my trade-in. And the sales agent, Desman J, did an excellent job, in explaining the process. And he showed all the features of my loaded SUV. You might have to bring your patience, (or a guitar and play a couple of sets). Thanks to Desman, Joe & Tom, in sales, for getting me through the process. It's a great place for your next auto or a trade-in. Stacey Z.was also very helpful in explaining the contract. Thanks y'all. I will definitely be back for my next auto.

The process of buying the vehicle two years ago was great, or so I thought at the time. We purchased the extended warranty and I want to say it was around 3K or 4K. It was a lot of money and it was our understanding that everything was covered except for where in tear item, like tires. Perfectly understandable, we get it. We had three problems come up one right after the other. The last problem that came up our car started to overheat. We took it in for repair and received a phone call today that one of the items for the overheat problem was not going to be covered under warranty. When I asked the employee why, he couldn’t really give me an answer. That’s unacceptable to me. I just want to warn everybody out there I wouldn’t purchase the extended warranty. Carmax makes a lot of money through those extended warranties but then when it’s time to use it there’s alot of fine print, or no print at all and you can end up getting stuck with a $500 bill. Don’t buy extended warranties from Carmax because they are not transparent! I will be sharing with every person I know which is a lot of people.

Doing it “curbside” was a nightmare. I did everything online. Then went to pick up at the store. They had no idea I was coming in. Had to redo everything. Never have I had a salesman ask to see my checking account to verify funds.

This was a hard one because we sold 2 cars to CarMax on different days. My car was done within 2 hours or so, they paid my existing loan off within a couple of days, and their estimate value was spot on with their website calculation. We returned literally 3 days later to sell our 2nd car. Completely different experience. Our appointment time was at 11am, and we didn't have the check in hand until close to 4pm. Their website value for the car was $3,000 off because the car was 10 years old. Well, I put that in on their website, so why didn't their website calculation catch that? Had we known it would be massively different, we would have sold privately. But it was too late. We were leaving the country 2 days later. It has been close to 4 weeks and they still have not paid off that car loan. Since we are overseas now, it is nearly impossible to contact them because of the time difference. I am super irritated how different our experiences were. We had appointments on a Saturday and a Tuesday, and Saturday's was much much much better. Overall, I wouldn't recommend selling CarMax your car.

Had a great experience at Carmax, we did our research beforehand and had a car we liked shipped to this store. They let us know as soon as it arrived and set up an appointment for us to come in. Met a great sales consultant and others at this store. The easiest and most efficient way I have ever had car shopping. Would highly recommend!

The "no hassle" price concept is honored here. Car buying truly made easy. Used car was delivered looking like a new. The salespeople here are exceptional.

I WAS BEYOND EXCITED WHEN I WAS APPROVED FOR A VEHICLE ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO. BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS EVER SINCE. CARMAX ONLY PAID FOR THE REPAIRS DISCOVERED WITHIN 30 DAYS. NOW IM STUCK PAYING FOR COSTLY REPAIRS THAT WERE DISCOVERED ON ABOUT DAY 35.

Great friendly service. Sales personnel treat you with respect, honesty, and with lots of patience.

Although, as of yet there has been no follow ups since buying the car. I do have questions on finance company.

The wait to be seen here is ridiculous. I called before hand and was told to just come in without an appointment. Got there at 10: 50am and was told there was a 45 min wait. After 40 mins I checked to see how much longer and they added another 40 mins. Plenty of open desks but not enough employees to take care of demand. Total time waiting was almost 2.5 hours and still wasn’t seen. Insane.

Their ok. It was my daughter that I consigned for she didn't make some payments and they did not send me notices or called to let me know that she not making payments. They gave me a bad credit score so now I cannot buy anything that I need.

Great selection, easy to use, all around great car buying experience. It was quite a long while doing paperwork, but that was due to my last name being too long. Also a long drive from where i live. All in all. Would use it again, and recommend.

Christina at Carmax is AMAZING! My partner bought a car from her 6 months ago and she was fun, professional, patient and not pushy. She was very honest through the process and waited til we were ready. We have referred people to her and we just went and bought 2 more cars from her this week. Ask for Christina! I love my new car by the way!
