Carmela's Mexican Restaurant, Beaumont TX

We ate here tonigh for the the first time in about two years. The food was not as good as it has been in the past. We have now both ended up extremely sick to our stomachs within hours of eating.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Beaumont imo. They offer some authentic Mexican cuisine that is very tasty.

Good food and drinks. The beans were cold and took a while to get the waiter back to table. I know they were busy, but come on I am a customer also. But all and all it was good. Daiquiri needs to be frozen more.

This place is a Beaumont staple with queso that is to die for. Always fast and friendly staff.

Food was good, chips & salsa good, although salsa was a bit salty. Service was just ok. Once food was dropped off waitress asked if we needed anything else and I told her what we needed, but she never came back until we finished. Our food was getting cold waiting for her and we tried to get the attention of any of the servers to no avail. It wasn't that busy either.

Honestly, I’d come back just for the beans they were so good. Salsa has just the right amount of heat. I got 3 beef tacos but I’ll probably try the chicken next time.

Had lunch here and got the taco nachos. They were ok. The queso was awesome. There was this stubborn fly that would not leave our table. The waiter was very good and attentive. He's also easy on the eyes. All in all 4/5. Also try there breakfast tacos.

The Three taco, kids meal was more than enough for an adult. The side order of rice and refried beans was very good.

The server was excellent, with a very good disposition and a great smile!

The salsa was very good. 8 out of 10.

I have to downgrade a previous review. We visited here yesterday and was disappointed. I ordered Carne Asada and was extremely dissatisfied. Whoever cooked that steak literally bathed it in lime juice and that is all I could taste. The chips were severely broken and the tomatoes and avocado were almost green and not ripe. Not a good experience.

We enjoy going for dinner but sometimes forget how peaceful it is in there for breakfast. We love the huevos rancheros & migas. Scarfed it down before pics could be acquired.

Got a to-go order. Staff was friendly and quick.

In my opinion, they have the BEST fajitas in town.

I was looking for a local Mexican restaurant while staying in Beaumont. Glad I found this place. The food was excellent! The service was prompt and friendly. Couldn't ask for more!

We sit down 45 minutes before closing time. The kitchen staff messed our order, and the waitress excuse was that the cooks wanted to go home already. Then, as soon as we began eating, another waitress came in and began mopping the floor with ammonia. We did feel unwelcome here. Disgusting service. Stay away from this place.

Fajitas, Flameado, queso, salsa, muy bueno, pancho special… you literally can not go wrong at this place. Always busy and always delicious. Hands down best texmex in Beaumont.
