Carnitas Querétaro Mexican Restaurant, El Paso TX

Food is great and workers are nice and polite. Food generally comes in a timely fashion, but can be a bit pricey for some. The cost is worth it though.

This restaurant was unpleasant, everyone's food came out cold and had to send it back to be reheated, there was a long hair right on top of my flauta and then had to wait till they remade the meal. Although the service was good and we got checked on regularly.

My family and I stopped here before dropping my mom off at the airport. We ordered five orders of huevos rancheros. Three came out and the other two came out twenty minutes later after we spoke to the manager. The staff was eating in the kitchen and playing around. This location has horrible service. I’ll stick to the Zaragoza location.

Food is good, wait time is very long. They made me wait an additional 20 minutes for a pickup order on top or the other 20 minutes they told me over the phone. The servers kept on telling me 3 more minutes every time they saw me, and the order was missing items.

This time around, the taste of the food changed, first the chips and salsa were horrible, well not the chips they were great, but that salsa, not good at all, bring back the green salsa, second the food taste totally different, must of changed cooks or recipes, third the service was so bad, took long to get Waiter, and even longer to get food, then to get him back for forgotten items, wife said that her tortilla soup was ok but the tortilla chips we're burnt and tasted burnt. Now here's the kicker, the waiter tried to give me someone else's credit card, told him not ours, then after about 10mins he comes back and tries to apologize a head of telling me what happened, I then realized what happened, he lost my credit card, then says it's happened before, to please leave him my phone number, so when he finds it he will call me to go back and pick it up, I could not believe what he was saying, who in there right mind would leave there credit card behind. I told him I could not leave it, that I needed it and I would wait till he found it. After several minutes of waiting he came from the back and said he found it charged our meals and that I did not wanna know where he found my credit card. Worst service ever. I will not be back to this location again, we used to love it here but it is going down the hill little by little.

Everytime I come back to El Paso for family visits, I come eat here. I especially look forward for the tortilla soup. I just can not find this good of a soup in the Austin area. The soup has a right amount of chicken, avocado, cheese, and spices. I have been looking for a good substitute for 10 years up in Austin area. I highly recommend it, and it's a great taste of home!

Went there this morning. My mother and I ordered the enchilada plate and wife the tortilla soup. The chicken in the soup was clumped together not shreds also the enchilada plates chicken was not shredded and cold clumped together big pieces! We have eaten at other locations but this was just a big turn away for us. We will look for another place from now on. I think it's just a case of the cooks being lazy because even the enchilada sauce was cold. Gave it 2 stars because the tea was actually good.
