Dr. Schmidt just completed cataract and glaucoma surgery on each of my eyes. Not much time has passed yet but already there’s a significant difference in my vision. All of the blurry cloudy vision is gone. It’s been over 20 years since I could read without glasses and now I can. The pressure is down in both eyes and there was no pain whatsoever. Dr. Schmidt is awesome and she patiently answers any questions you have. Her staff is outstanding and they guide you through each step of whatever procedure you have. So grateful to be a patient in this practice. Thank you to each of you!

Have worn glasses since 4th grade (now on late 60s). Developed cataracts, had left eye operated on year ago, just had right eye done. Both operations went smoothly, everything explained in advance, and no problems. Now seeing okay without glasses (but still have slight astigmatism) ; glasses are effectively an option now.
Would highly recommend Dr. Schmidt for any optical work and wish she had other medical specialties so I could have her expertise for other problems.

This Houston eye institute on gramacy st was a bit far from where I live in Katy tTX. Ended up being the best decision I made. The cataract removal procedure was flawless I had option to have laser to fine tune my eye vision also helping to reduce any chances of infection and restoring my eye sight to 20.20. I came home and was overcome with emotion when every thing looked so colorful and sharp with 3 D and HD appearance having the laser added is worth every bit of your mo. Dr. Schmidt did a perfect job on my eyes. She's wonderful and the whole staff is very caring. The staff is very pleasant. I encourage anyone seeking a Glaucoma specialist to come and visit one of her offices.
