I don’t like how the range is regulated. A staff member was always telling me to put my rifle on the rack. I couldn’t even make sure my gun was clear without a staff member breathing down my neck. The range is OK just a little pricey for no reason at all. I like how you can shoot steel but only for like 10 minute segments until u have to “cease fire” every 10 minutes…we couldn’t even pick our target range and we just placed and separated from our friends that we came with. Overall i prefer a range that lets you concentrate with limited interruptions and where I don’t get watched for the color of my skin and the kind of rifle I shoot.

This is the best gun shop/range I've ever visited. They helped me install my RDS on my P365X even without a charge. And when I went to the range to try it out, they gave me incredibly valuable advise on how to improve my aim. I went from terrible to respectable within one hour. Also, they sell their ammo at a good price. Thanks guys, that was great! I'll be back!

Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff. Reasonable prices on ammo. Bring a few extra dollars and tip the folks out on the range; they deserve it.

I've been coming to this location for awhile now, I've taken my daughter as well as my son and wife to shoot here. I really love this place and never once have I felt like I wasn't respected as a customer. My wife and I purchased two guns from here. I just want to say thank you to Carter Country for making my family feel like family to you guys.yeah man

Went there today to have some range time and had a great experience. I was greeted at the door and politely directed where to go to get signed in. Range is well maintained and ran efficiently.

They don’t like Black people here so I wouldn’t even waste my time, energy and MOST importantly MY MONEY here when we are not welcomed. Horrible experience and will not ever ever return to this place.

I called asking if they had a specific Beretta in stock, after 20 minutes on hold the employee came on for half a second asking if I was looking for a Mossberg. I barely got the word "No" out before he threw me back on hold. I understand that businesses get busy, but if you're so busy that I need to be on hold for almost half an hour to answer a simple question then please take down my number and call me back when you can answer my question. After listening to 30 minutes of static filled advertisements over a poorly digitized song, I hung up with no answer.

This is written with such mixed feelings. My fiancé and I went in to get ammo but stopped to JUST LOOK AT GUNS not to buy any. I made that very clear to a beef cake of an employee who was very pushy. I told him that we were there for only ammo and were only window shopping for guns. He proceeded to push us into buying on that day, and was even condescending. Constantly telling us we could only buy ammo if we bought a gun. Once he finally got the picture that we were not going to by he very rudely told us “That guy over there can help you” and walked away from us. He gave me the worst costumer service I have ever experienced, I would put him below fast food employees. He definitely needs to be retrained or disciplined. So fair warning, if you see a guy behind the counter that looks like he cares more about his “gains” and appearance than is job, steer clear! However the guy who did help us was Justin I believe. He said he was related to the owners of the store, he answered all our questions and was super friendly! I admire how he was running around helping as many people as he could, even jumping from the floor to the registers when needed. That man knows how to run a business. He was amazing and his parents (who I believe he said runs the business but I could be wrong) should be proud of the work he does while they are away! I hate to have one bad apple ruin the bunch but that first man was truly awful. I will update IF I go back. It did seem to have a nice range, so I might go back just for that.

Old white range officer with the new balance shoes on was often getting very close to me and my friends and making us uncomfortable and kept grazing against one of my friends. Not to mention that he smelled horrendous & wasn’t wearing a mask.

We come here often just to do target practice, and the people are always super nice, and the range is kept pretty clean compared to most ranges. Range officers are always very conscious of everyone’s safety, and always happy to help when needed.

Ordered some things online and 4 weeks later have still not received my order. I have called numerous time and every time they tell me it will arrive in a couple of days. I will never purchase from them again.

Stopped by the Pasadena shop wanting to look at a gun. Sign on the door says masks are required, and shoppers were limited to 10 people.
Found that none of the salespeople behind the counter had masks, and counted 13 people in the store, most without masks. A Pasadena policeman walked in after me, not sure of the outcome,

Called on Friday and was told they had 9mm ammo with a two box max purchase. Drove from The Woodlands today (Sun) to pick some up and once I arrived they had changed the max to ONE BOX. They literally have 32 round boxes for sale also, so be aware. When they run out of the 50 round boxes you're going to make the trip for a tiny box of ammo and you can only get ONE.
Could have been the start of something beautiful here but that's not a good way to begin and concerns me of other potential issues.

Went in with my boss (Army Veteran) to buy an AR-15. We looked at the Smith and Wesson and he picked that one. The 'salesperson', David shows him the price tag on the gun. $779.00.
We go to look at cases for it, pick one, come back to fill out the paperwork and David says the price has gone up. To $819.00. We tell David we had already picked out that gun at the price on the tag. He says he doesn't care, price went up. We tell David, who was rude the entire time we were in there that the price on the website says $779.00. He doesn't care. We left immediately without purchasing anything.
They literally jacked up their prices between the time we selected a product and paid for it. Unethical, no integrity and predatory.
Neither of us will EVER enter Carter's Country again. Ever.
We advise everyone to avoid these un-American predators.

(side note.we were literally the only ones in the store wearing masks per the state order.could be they were predatory AND discriminatory)

** UPDATE **
After Carter Country's response, we DID go back in and they kept their word and did everything they promised. The salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
- Carter's Country.you made it right and that is all you can ask of anyone. Based on our experience today, I give these gentlemen 5 stars and recommend them to anyone again. Kudos to this business.

I stopped in here because I needed arrows. They do not sell any archery stuff. Go down the road to Texas archery, they have everything you need.

Went there today to buy some sites for my AR-15 not a lot to choose from which is understandable during this time however I'm giving it three stars. There was not a lot of people in there today but it seemed like the guy who was helping me don't remember his name but he made me feel like I was wasting HIS time with questions. Seemed to me that he wanted to be done with me as soon as possible and I was in there a total about 10 minutes. Also the cashier didn't seem like she wanted to be there either just not a super friendly experience today after spending over $300 if I had to take it back I wouldn't spend a dime. Maybe it was just a bad day for the employees.

After my wife and I took the lisense to carry class. We realized that my car had been backed into. Smashing my front grille and radar. I spoke with Laurie Carter and she had the cameras reviewed. Unfortunately no luck. I tried to make a claim with my insurance but I needed a police report. I had to come back to Caters Counry and call the local Shariff office. I was about three hours into my wait for someone to show up when Laurie saw me sitting in my car. She approached me genuinely concerned. I thanked her for the help but I knew she had done all she could do!
Now the next part is what sets this family owned bussniss apart. She offered to cover my deductible! I refused, but she insisted. Now I’m sitting in my car amazed by her generosity.

Thank you Laurie Carter! You are a blessing, what you did not know is that I just had been laid off days before the incident. My wife and I wondered how or if we would be able to take care of this.

I don't like the fact that they charge you per gun to shoot there. I've been to other ranges and 1 gun or 7 guns is the same price
