Everyone was so great! I appreciate the explanation of cost before any procedure was completed. They also offer insurance or cost saving plans ahead of time. Very reasonable. Clean. Excellent staff.

Staff is great but they completely wasted my time. I was sent to a different doctor because mine didn’t “feel comfortable“ doing the root canal.so now I have ANOTHER consult and 3rd visit for the actual procedure.

Courtney was so helpful, professional and friendly.she’s a delight. My hygienist was also very good at her job, she took great care of me and made my teeth look and feel amazing.

I love my dentist, Dr. Ryu. She is caring and gentle, just what you want in a dentist. She had done a lot of work on me, so I know.

I have been going to Carus Dental for a few years now. They are prompt and friendly. I like that they tell me if they find anything potential issues and explain my options. They only suggest procedures that may be necessary and don't pressure me into fearing the worst if I don't have something done immediately.

We’ve used Carus for all of our dental health & hygiene needs for the last 4 years and then COVID-19. Poor customer service amidst a global pandemic is tough, but more than that, lack of specific consideration for families experiencing varying crises, simultaneously, is hostile. We received notice that our child needed to quarantine due to a positive case in her classroom and needed to cancel our upcoming appointment, albeit last minute, due to circumstances beyond our control. After fully explaining the situation we were told we’d still be responsible for cancellation fees. We’ve used Carus for everything, braces, wisdom teeth extractions, and regular cleanings and instead of understanding this specific circumstance they’ve opted to charge us because we did not notify them of a circumstance we could not have known in advance.

Dr. Emily Ryu (who isn’t my regular dentist) but has seen me a couple of times is an absolute sweetheart. So nice, understanding and really cares about her patients. She took the time to listen and give feedback and options to help my aching tooth. I have been a patient here for a long time and Dr. Herndon, Ryu and Silvertooth have been great. Art, the office manager is great too and has been nothing but helpful always.

I would have rated one star but the dentist (Dr Silvertooth) and the hygienist are great, but the billing department is absolutely terrible. Every time we had a visit, they had issues with the insurance company and they would send us a bill. We had to call the insurance company and then the office multiple times to get things covered because the appropriate documentation was not submitted. Eventually we decided to pay the bills out of pocket due to the hassle and waste of time. Worst billing department ever.

Dr. Herndon and her assistant Jennifer are great. They are an excellent team and excel in all they. I am very very satisfied with the dental work I have received at Carus Dental North. I rate them a 100 stars.

I always had a good experiences each time I visited the office. Dr. Emily Ryu was always kind, friendly, and very very good doctor. Friendly and sweet assistance, Christina, wasn't there but I met Courtney, doc assistance, and she was very friendly and funny. All of the staff there were always friendly and had a good attitudes.

I’ve neglected my oral health for a while and was really nervous about going to the dentist again. Every staff member I interacted with was so kind and non-judgemental. They took time to explain things, go over a plan and prioritize treatment options and answer all of my probably dumb questions. Dr Silvertooth was incredibly kind and patient and made this process less intimidating and scary. I’m glad to find a dentist that I’m actually comfortable with seeing routinely.

(Also this is one of my first ever public reviews, that’s how impressed I was.)

I recently began seeing Dr. Silvertooth at Carus Dental at the North Austin location.
From the moment I walked in for my first visit, the front desk receptionist was welcoming and helpful. The technicians/hygienists who saw me to get Xrays and take pictures of my teeth and get medical history were also very welcoming and took their time with me and answered all my questions.
When I saw Dr. Silvertooth, I was made immediately comfortable by his warm, professional manner and noticed that he was a great listener. I was impressed with his kind and soothing discussions and how he happily answered all my questions. His upbeat nature was something that immediately set my mind at ease.
The hygienist who did my cleaning was efficient, professional, and took her time with every little detail. I felt comfortable the entire time, as she measured my gums and did a thorough cleaning.
When I left and it was time to pay my bill, the Practice Manager was patient, even though several calls had to be made to our dental insurance company. He did this as quickly as he could so we didn't have to wait a long time to check out for the day.
It's a breath of fresh air to have such professional, kind, warm, and knowledgeable people taking care of your dental issues; I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone seeking a dentist to try Carus Dental.
Thanks to everyone for taking such great care of me.

I give 1 start not because of the dental service, service was OK. This review is 2 folds.

1. They will always want you to pay in advance. This is okay if they estimate things correctly. They will always over charge you, underestimate estimated charges, then bill insurance, if you assume the insurance overpaid them, they will not follow up to give you credit. So you will have to be really careful and check your account.

They will give you a proposal for treatment with money figures, watch out as they might later change their mind on what you have to pay vs.what insurance have paid them.

2. They will report you to the Credit Bureaus immediately if you did not pay them the due, this is fair and this is normal, if the dues have not been marked as zero in your account for long time. They have asked me to pay extra $1xx for a services, I received this bill via USPS mail, they have under estimated a procedure. I came to office and asked them why the charge? They said do not worry about it, we will handle it with insurance. They told me ignore the bills you receive via mail, they are automated. Then I have visited office for many many visits and services, and was never asked to pay the alleged amount. Then in few month, Experian notifies me that I have a collection notice. I was not happy, and decided to write this review for their new customers and existing ones.
