Casa Condominiums, Port Aransas TX

The pool area was closed and we were given a week notice, not enough time to find another place. A nice place other than that, but the pool was really missed

Newly remodeled complex offering clean, well appointed condos. Has direct beach access, a pool courtyard, fully stocked kitchens, and excellent office staff. Will definitely rent from them again!

This place does have location, location, location going for it. We were very happy with the condo. We had the closest unit to the beach right from our sliding doors. The only things missing were a good skillet, a pitcher, hand mixer and a vacuum. We ate all meals in and did fine with the equipment that was stocked in #102 and the room #100 my parents rented. We were a lot disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance, as hanging out poolside and barbecuing was definitely in our evening plans. Hopefully, this will be rectified before our next stay. The staff made up for this disappointment of no pool, as they were completely hospitable and on top of everything that may be needed. The on-site maintenance guy helped immediately when our breaker flipped and put our microwave and toaster out of commision. With the pool working Casa on the Beach will be a 5.

Worst Vacation Ever

I stayed at Casa Condominiums Aug 11 - Aug 16. I don’t typically leave bad reviews but under the circumstances, I hope this helps people staying in Port A. I only have one week a year to vacation and I don’t want anyone else to have their time ruined.

Here was is what happened:

MY EMAIL CONTACT: A sliding patio door that does not open in violation of Texas Chapter 791 code compliance. I have the video of my attempt to open with a flat edge. On the other hand a front door that is damn difficult to close and comes open.

Unruly dogs barking and howling night and day. I have the audio recordings to post.

Dog feces in common areas. I have the photos to post.

The right solution is to make a refund to my debit card and verify that the outside sliding door is repaired to code compliance so there isn't a chance in the future someone being unable to get out.

Management (Emily Lane’s) exact responses:

Guests can't threaten to use a review against you to obtain refunds or additional compensation.
Owners/managers can’t mandate a review in exchange for refunds, or ask the guest to revise a review for compensation.
We have the right to suspend or terminate your account if these guidelines aren’t met. ” It is not within our policy to issue refunds based on hearsay.

As a property host, we have the ability to rate our travelers and submit a support ticket with our VRBO Account Representative to remedy the extortion experienced on our behalf.

Conclusion: I honestly had this awful vacation and VRBO/Casa Condos written guidelines state that there is no refund, EVER. But you will be told that your honest statements are simply hearsay and extortion. I hope this helps someone.

I just checked out of Casa Condominiums and I have to say the staff and room were awesome! Although the pool was closed for a resurfacing issue which was not their fault. When I went to the front desk after spending two days at the beach and just wanted our last day to be relaxing in and by a pool, I mentioned this to Emily, at the front desk, and she said, "Let me call our sister properties and see if they are good with you spending the day at one of their pools. " Within 15 minutes Emily called me to let me know the manager at Seagull Condominiums, Kat, said we were welcome to spend the day at their pool, and it was an amazing last day of our vacation. Thank you so much, Emily, Kat, Casa and Seagull Condominiums for making our vacation perfect!

It was easy enough to check in, the room was clean although there were still dishes in the dishwasher. The pool was down the day we got there but it was fixed the next day and then it was filled with kids most of the time. The hot tub was relaxing in the evening. The walk to the beach was short and that was nice and it was also filled with people. I had a great time during my stay.

Would have given a 5 star rating but we were disappointed with the pool situation. Other than that great place would recommend

Run down, pool was closed, leaking water in bathroom, bed bugs, only one exit/elevator, pictures are deceiving.

Stayed in unit 109.it was exactly as advertised. Right on the pool, updated decor.

Very Close proximity to the beach.

Couple of hacks. To get to the beach, you have to go up and down steps. Difficult with a wagon. Also the final stretch to the beach, the sand is very soft and gets VERY hot. Just be aware.

Overall very good little get away.
