I'm from south texas and can never find good mexican food in Austin. This place has great barbacoa! And the salsa verde is actually hot. I'd come back for sure.

Been coming here for over a decade, a stable presence in this rapidly changing community. The ambience is no-nonsense, the staff is warm and down to earth, the food is served fresh from the kitchen, in ample quantities- all around five stars.

The food is delicious and the prices are very good!
Only one or two of the waitresses who barely serve you with pleasure and come back to ask if you need anything!
Yes, I recommend it and I would recommend that the owner train his staff to give a smile and good treatment.

Great taste! I ordered, barbacoa tacos and they were really tasty and delicious, also ordered a chorizo and egg tacos which was tasty and of a considerable size. Chicharrón taco was okay, I thought it was going to be more tasty or the chicharrón was going to be as Mexico is cooked instead of bag chicharrón. We finalize with a tortilla soup that was a big bowl, with chicken, avocado & melted cheese. It was tasty with a slight touch of chipotle but no overwhelming, it also had shredded chicken. Overall great place to have Mexican food, personnel was friendly and courteous. Only thing to highlight was that when we came the table was dirty probably it was due to the short staffed, they cleaned it as soon as we sat.

Saw this place while going to a nearby drive through restaurant. A few days later we thought to try it out. Immediately it was clear that this was going to be a more authentic Mexican restaurant and that we had come to the right place. We both ended up ordering tacos as we weren't hungry enough to do justice to the large plates I saw everybody else ordering. The tacos were excellent. Prices were great. Service was really personal and really friendly. I'm sure we will return

I went to eat with the whole family, the food was brought very late, I am pregnant and my plate never arrived, my family finished eating and until I stopped to ask, they told me that they got the table wrong, the waitress never went to ask nothing, I just bring the food with a not so nice attitude, lack of better service. I do not recommend it

Really bad hygiene long waiting time to get your food whenever I got my food in both plates they had hair they tried to “fix it” changes it to a menudo and same thing hair just decided to pay for my drinks and leave DONT GO.

This place was nice and the service was mid but food was great this place is a great experience

They gave me some so-called super watery chilaquiles and I told the waitress that I wanted red tomato sauce because I was going to give it to my baby and she brought me bathed in hot sauce and the waitresses walk by and walk by and pretend they aren't looking at you the lemon water was not fresh I had gone before and I liked it but not anymore. And the waitress still dares to yell at the cooks to hurry her up because we are already desperate well, obviously it takes 20 minutes to take your order, and I'm not going to despair

They just stare at you when you walk in, 1 rude waitress that I always seem to get, annoying flies, and luke warm food. I've tried to go multiple times, but it's always the same.

Great margaritas, chimichanga, enchiladas, and chips. Looking forward to going again and trying more of their long menu.

The food is subpar and the service is HORRIBLE! We didn't get any silverware or napkins we literally had to tap the waitress on her shoulder to get her attention and then she had an attitude! Where they do that at!? We're the customers! All we wanted to do is just EAT!
